In this episode, Brenda, calling in from New Mexico, shares a series of experiences

that took place on her rural property.

What began as a news activity around the land slowly escalated,

sounds in the yard, animals reacting with fear,

and a growing sense that something large was moving close to the house after dark.

Then one night, it came right up to her door.

She also talks about what followed, the evidence left behind,

and why these encounters were impossible to dismiss as a wildlife or imagination.

Hello, thank you for having me.

You are more than welcome. Thank you for joining us today,

and you're coming to us from the state of New Mexico.

Yes.

Now, Brenda, you have some experiences to share with us.

Would you like to start at the beginning, please, ma'am?

Sure. My very first experience was that was like a very close encounter,

the one that was actually on our front porch,

and this happened the mid-90s.

My husband had a working at the mine.

He left the house at 10.30 and this happened during the summertime,

and I had my kids, and we had all the windows open in the house.

The windows open that was very close to the porch,

and our bedroom window, and the kids are running around and playing,

and you're just having a good time with their cousins,

and about 30 minutes after my husband had left,

I started hearing our dogs had like two dogs.

I could hear the whimpering, and I'm like,

why are they crying?

And so I just kind of brushed it off,

and all of a sudden I started hearing footsteps,

heavy footsteps, walking on gravel.

So like I said, I had our bedroom windows open,

so as you walk into towards our porch,

I had gravel there.

So I could hear gravel moving,

and at the same time I could hear our dogs were really whimpering, crying.

I was like, what's going on?

So you know, like I said, I just kind of brushed off,

and I could hear this thing, whatever it was,

it was on the porch,

and I could, you know, kids are playing in the background,

and pretty soon I could hear like the door open,

like we had a screen door on our front door,

and I just kind of thought, well,

maybe the next door's, you know,

maybe they're dead or trying to scare us or something.

Yeah, I just kind of questioned how the kids are really laughing,

and just having a good time, like I said,

and I told them, hey, you guys, you know, be quiet just a minute,

so I just kind of listened, and like I said,

I heard you're here at the screen door open,

and all of a sudden I see the door now moving,

you know, turning like whatever it was,

trying to open the door, whatever it was.

So I'm kind of thinking, oh, it's just maybe it's just my husband.

He's back, and he's just trying to scare us or something.

Or the kids is dead from the next door,

that's, you know, just trying to spook us or something.

And so, well, let's get watching the door knob,

and I had one of my brothers there with us,

and he was standing there and we're all looking,

and I'm like, okay, what's going on?

And then that's when I could really hear the dogs really whimpering,

so they were underneath the porch.

They were hiding.

You know, oh, if I can remember how long we stood there,

just, you know, looking at my brother, like, who is this?

What is, you know, just something, what's out there?

You know, that's trying to get in, you know,

kept trying to turn.

It was turning the door knob, like we're trying to open the door,

but I had the lock on the door.

It was locked, then I had the dead bolt.

So, we just stand in there, like, at each other,

and my brother, he was so scared.

We were both scared.

Yes, I told the kids to be usually quiet.

I opened the door, told my brother, open the door.

He was just like frozen there, just scared.

Like, we were all scared, like I said,

and we didn't know what it was, or who it was.

I'm like, okay, you know, we got to open the door,

so we opened the door all fast,

and I just see this tall, skinny,

shaggy thing, like, standing there in front of me.

And the front of us there,

and my brother was just like, like, what in the world, you know,

I'm just like, didn't know what to think.

I was scared, you know, we were all scared.

And it was covered in hair.

The hair looked like it was black,

long black hair, had long arms,

kind of shaggy looking.

And I didn't get to take a good look at the face

because it was covered in hair.

So, we stood there, like, looked at it

because we saw that door open and bam, there it is.

You know, oh, that's what it is.

You know, what is it?

What is it?

And next, you know, it just started off the porch.

It took off heading to the west.

So, I didn't know what to say.

I didn't know really what to do.

I'm like, oh, my gosh.

I could just hear the dogs crying and whimpering.

And then, like I said, they were underneath the porch.

And my brother was like, what was that?

You know, we're like, I'm in my mind.

I'm just kind of like, that can't be what I really think.

You know what?

Well, I think that is.

I can't be no way because, you know, I'm thinking,

I'm thinking, oh, why, that's a big for them.

I'm like, what's it doing out here?

I thought they stay out in the mountains.

You know, and I just, you know, didn't know what to do.

Didn't know what to see.

But, you know, like I said, we were just really scared.

And I'm like, why was it trying to get in?

What did it want?

And so, I told the kids.

I said, you know, I said, let's go to bed and start the kids.

You know, they were like, what was that?

Who was that?

Who was that?

Oh, I don't know.

There was nobody, you know.

So I just told them, just go to bed.

Just go to bed.

So I shut down everything.

And I closed all the windows.

And after doing that, probably, I'm going to say about 15, 20 minutes later.

I said, let's go to bed, you know, let's just go to sleep.

So I shut down everything.

Locked up all the doors, closed all the windows.

And that was probably about 20 minutes later.

I could still hear the dogs crying underneath the porch.

They would not come out for nothing.

They stayed under there.

And I could hear them whimpering.

And I'm pretty sure about 30 minutes or 30 minutes goes by.

And whatever the thing was, to me, what I, you know,

what I was looking at, I'm like, hey, this is, this is a big footprint.

It's got to be, you know.

And so, but I didn't say, say that to, you know, my kids,

because they're just so young.

And to them, I'd be back to monster, you know.

I didn't want to scare them or anything like that.

And so, this thing came back about half an hour later.

And again, it was on the porch.

And it was turning, you know, turning the, trying to open up that screen door again.

And it did the same thing.

What does this thing want?

And so I flipped on the light.

And I could hear it running off the porch.

It took off again.

So this happened several times throughout the night.

You know, what it wanted, I, I have no idea.

So by three o'clock, I think was three o'clock.

I, um, this thing came back and it took off again.

I, I got up.

I'm like, okay, I'm going to go see, you know,

I'm going to go drive around the area, around, around our place,

a property, and see what is that, you know.

And, um, my brother went with me.

And we looked around and I had put all the kids.

I had an older one there at that.

So I had him watch the kids and I told him to go sit in the closet.

You know, be right back.

I'll, you know, I just need to go drive around and see what this thing is that.

I said, I didn't tell them what it was or anything.

So I locked them all up and, and the dogs were still underneath the porch.

They were so scared.

So when I, we took off on the truck,

heading to the north.

And, um, we drove all the way down to the end of the field.

And we kind of did a big loop around.

Had I just paid attention to my dogs, the dogs actually,

uh, finally came out of underneath the porch.

And, uh, they ran along the side of the truck with us.

And, um, at the corner, at the northwest corner of the field,

when I was going, you're heading west and I was going to head back south.

Kind of, we have big old property.

There's a big, my father-in-law's property is pretty big.

And, um, right there in that corner there,

that west north corner there,

there's a big old, like, shade bushes there in that corner,

enough for something to hide in there.

Had I just, like I said,

paid attention to the dogs.

I could have seen this thing there, but dogs stopped.

And they, they were,

they just started crying and whimpering and ran home.

And so I had,

if I were to pay attention,

I would have seen this thing right there in that corner,

but I passed it.

So I started heading back south,

to drive behind our home.

I didn't see anything, so I pulled back into the house and, you know,

just went to sleep and I made sure,

this time I made sure I locked that, um,

the screen door.

I didn't do that the first time in that.

I just fell to do,

and since I made sure I closed that, I locked it.

And about 20 minutes later,

about four o'clock this thing came back.

And you could hear, trying to open the screen door,

you know, porches, you know,

all porches, they make squeaky sounds and stuff.

And, of course, the screen door also makes squeaky sounds, you know.

I could hear this thing really pulling on the screen door,

it's like he's trying to open it.

And it stood there, you know,

and I told my brother, you know, it's back again.

He's just leaving on just, just, just,

don't do anything and just ignore it, you know.

So I'm like, okay, so we just,

he just went to sleep and he didn't want to hear it.

And so I, you know, of course, I'm still up.

And I wanted to try to take a better look at this thing.

You know, I got up and right there by the bedroom window

is the front porch.

So I could see what's, you know, standing on the porch,

and when I went to look,

I like to see this black hairy thing standing there

with long arms at the door, front door.

And I had dropped something and this thing took off again.

And my time was about 4.30.

And it came back again.

I had no idea.

Even to this day,

so now that when I think back and think about,

start thinking about like, what, what did it want?

Why did it try to get into the house?

But I'm sure it could have just tore the door down,

but it didn't.

And so, like I said, when I dropped,

it was a pin or something that I had dropped,

and you could hear, drop, hit the floor,

and this thing took off again.

By 4.30,

it kind of hung around the place,

kept doing the same thing.

And then it would take off again

when I would turn on the lighter,

you know, make some kind of noise.

It would run off.

And I could just still hear the dogs whimpering,

you know, crying.

And by almost about six o'clock in the morning,

when daylight started appearing,

it just stopped this thing left.

I don't know where it went,

or which way it ran to, you know,

it just stopped because of daylight.

And finally, my husband got home

about seven.

I think it was about 7.30, finally come home.

I didn't sleep at all that night,

and when he come pulling up and he came in

and I told him what was going on,

what had happened.

You know, was he didn't believe me?

I said, let's go look around,

you know, walk around our home,

see if we could find footprints.

And so we walked around,

and we went behind our house,

and right below my daughter's room,

there was a big footprint there.

You know, at that time,

I didn't think I've taken pictures of it

or measuring it,

and how big it was.

But I don't know if you've ever seen,

I'm sure you've seen the movie,

the legend of a boggy creek.

And you know how the two young fellows

they down at the creek

and they find this footprint that had three toes.

When I had first seen that movie,

when I saw that footprint,

that brought back a lot of memories,

like that's the exact same footprint

that we found behind our home that night,

or the next day.

And when I showed that to my husband,

he didn't know what to say.

You know, we're like,

what was it doing here?

What did it want?

I don't, you know,

like I said to this day,

I still don't know.

But, you know,

we did come across a footprint right behind our home,

and it was pretty big,

and it had only three toes on it,

on that footprint.

You know, it was like,

wow, I, you know,

I was,

I didn't know what to think.

I didn't know what to say.

I was very surprised,

kind of shocked,

that this thing actually,

you know, is around,

around here,

on the reservation.

You know,

from that point on,

I had started,

kind of listening in,

and people would talk about it, you know,

but, you know,

among the native people,

you don't talk about these kind of things,

because it's,

it can give you bad luck,

or some taboo,

or something,

you just leave that thing alone.

You know,

that's a lot of the,

the natives say,

these things are bad, you know,

you don't,

you don't go chasing them,

you leave them alone,

and people don't,

you know,

you don't talk about it,

because a lot of them do,

they want to say something,

but they're too scared,

because they don't want to be made fun of,

or laughed at,

or mocked, you know,

for it.

And so,

when that incident

had happened with,

with me,

and the kids and all,

I didn't really say anything to anybody about it,

just,

my brother, you know,

that was there,

witnessed the whole thing,

you know,

we just didn't know what to think,

but, oh,

maybe it was a skin walker,

you know, I'm like,

no, I'm not that,

not that,

that I'm not a skin walker,

you know,

and,

on that point on,

it's when I started,

kind of looking more into it,

of what a bigfoot was,

you know,

or is and stuff,

you know,

and people in our area

have been experiencing

a lot of sightings

and had a lot of encounters

and things that I didn't really know at that time

that people were,

were having issues

with these things around here,

and I was like,

I thought these things stay out in the mountains,

you know,

what is it doing here?

The more I got

into kind of researching it

and just kind of listening to what people

what they have encountered and stuff,

what they've seen,

what they've heard,

you know,

why is it here,

and like I said,

I thought they all just stay out in the mountains

in the wooded area,

well,

these things,

you know, they,

they can follow the smaller streams,

the smaller streams,

and then they follow

to bigger water,

so the small stream,

you can have a small stream

in your area,

wherever you live,

and they'll follow that stream,

because majority of the times

it'll lead to a lake

or a big ol' river or something,

so they stay

and hug around their waters,

the more they can find a big lake

or, you know, like a big river,

that means there's food source there for them,

you've got deer that hang around

the rivers or the lakes,

and then you,

apart, you've got your fishes,

those are the things that they eat,

and so,

for us,

we have the San Juan River,

either about maybe less than the,

what, quarter,

maybe a quarter of a mile from the river,

the San Juan River,

and so it's just like,

in our backyard,

basically,

and these things do come through our property,

a lot with,

we've had,

what,

it's been, what,

four or five years now,

that this thing comes,

runs through our property,

and it'll

hit the side of our home,

and it goes flat,

and that happened when my daughter

came home from a,

a visit,

and it was,

and what I mean was,

April,

like this happened,

she, you know,

we were always fed,

and she was still kind of awake,

and all,

and it was about two o'clock in the morning,

when this happened,

and what had happened was,

like I said,

we're all asleep,

and she's still kind of awake,

watching some videos on her phone,

and all of a sudden,

we, she,

here's just loud,

slap on the side of the house,

and she,

come running mom,

did you hear them?

Like, yeah, I heard it,

so I jumped out,

put my shoes on,

and we both ran out there,

and see if we could,

find any kind of prints,

or,

or scratch,

or a dent on the side of the house,

I didn't find anything,

because I couldn't,

make out any kind of footprints,

because we have grass,

and you know,

on our yard,

so,

we get,

we get to this,

like that,

or sometimes,

you know,

something's looking in the windows,

they get a lot of reports,

like that, here,

these things,

they'll be looking in the windows,

they have red eyes,

and the smell is just,

it's horrible,

you know,

a lot of people say that,

and,

I've had some that say,

there's a family out there

in the Crown Point area,

for just seeing,

actually,

walked in the house,

while the husband,

and the wife,

watching TV,

and boy,

that really scared them,

you know,

that's what I was told from,

one of my colleagues,

that we do research,

you know,

investigation,

big footprints,

hiding the smell,

and his relatives

that live out there

that happened to them,

you know,

he reported back to me,

that this thing,

actually,

walked into my uncle's house,

they just stood there

and didn't know what to do,

and,

you know,

of course,

what do you do?

You scared your frozen,

you know,

you don't want to move,

because you don't want

this thing to hurt you,

and stuff,

while this thing finally,

doesn't grab the room

or something,

try to shush it out,

try to get it out of the house,

just things,

they just stared at each other,

of course,

you know, I said,

they're scared,

shocked.

If I used to see turned

them,

walked out the door.

What it wanted?

They had no idea what it wanted,

what it was trying to do.

Scott and reports like that,

I also got,

some other reports,

I've had a lot of reports of small animals missing in the dogs or small cats, small, you know,

small and like chickens, dogs, and all. So right now, like, we're in the winter time.

So a lot of the times, the winter into spring, I get reports of a lot of small animals that go

up missing and it's due to them coming out and they're looking for food. So our most active time

for these things to come out more is usually during the harvest time throughout the whole year,

but mainly during the harvest time because we live on a farmland. So in the area that I live,

a lot of people farm. So what they like is they really like the corn, they like the melons,

back to potatoes, onions. Those are things that they like to eat. So when it's harvest time,

then we get a lot of reports. These things are raiding the gardens, people's gardens.

Okay, so like I said right now, we're in the winter, right kind of winter into, we'll be going

into spring here soon. During during those months is when they get active a little more because

they're hungry. So they they're always spotted in people's corals and stuff.

People that live out their dog food and cat food, crack corn, those are things that they'll eat as

well. And so once they see where they can get some of that kind of food, they'll keep coming back.

So you know, when I talk to the people, I tell them that listen, do you guys have cat food,

dog food or livestock feed out in the open? Oh yeah, we do. We keep it out there in the barn.

Okay, okay. So get that stuff put up, put some leaves or hide it and feed your animals before it

gets dark and whatever's left over get it put out. These things are coming around because they're

eating their hungry. So they'll do anything to get something to eat. So that's why that's another

reason why they'll, if they can't find cat food, dog food, crack corn, that's when they'll start

going for small animals. I've had a lady missing 10 cats all in one night gone. So that's

when I was telling you know, get these things put up your foods and stuff. And if you can put some

game cameras up, this is another thing that they know what these game cameras are. How

I'm not sure how they know, but they they know and especially when they see that the light on the

cameras, they they will go out of the way to go all the way around because they don't, you know,

they don't want to be in front of that camera or they'll just leave and they they won't bother

the family anymore because they have cameras up. So that's another way of keeping things things

away from your off your property. Now these are things, there's so many things that I share with

the people, things that they can do and things, you know, don't don't do this or don't do that,

you know, be careful of just surroundings. Or you know, just make sure you get your animals pet,

they fork out of them, whatever it's left over, get them put up. So you know, I share a lot of

that stuff with the people around in that area and different areas on the reservation. I'll share

with them, you know, don't you can do this, you can try this. If you have, if this thing is at your

front door or if this thing's hitting your window or the side of your house, whatever, if you have a

car alarm and you hit that panic button, set that thing off and it'll scare it off and you know,

people like you never thought of that. It has worked, you know, it scared them off and they'll leave.

Or I would tell them if you can buy some fireworks, those little firecrackers,

when you set those off, you know, how they sound kind of sound like a gun,

instead of shooting because you know, you got people that live close to you. If you get a

straight bullet and it hits your neighbor, guess what, you're going to be going to prison. So be

careful. So if you can take a firecracker and light that and throw it outside, well, that'll

scare them off too. You know, don't take off running. And so, you know, it's, you know, stuff like

that that I, I also share with the people. There's a lot of people don't want them around their place

and I also advise them, hey, you know, don't feed these things. Even alone that it goes

or else elsewhere to go, you know, to find food. And I tell them the reason why I say don't feed

them is because you got neighbors, right, that live next door. And if you're gone, guess what,

and you leave some food out there and you're not there to, you know, and they come back looking for

food and they're going to get mad and they're going to go to your neighbor's house and you know,

your neighbors are not going to want that thing around because you've been feeding it. And if you feed

it also, not only that, then they're going to bring in more of them. So, I tell them, don't feed them,

just, just let them be, you know, I had a lady in our area that was feeding them. Well, she went

on vacation when she got back. This thing was so mad. It just kind of threw stuff all over her

yard because they was looking for the food. There's no food there. Nobody was home. They were on

vacation. The thing got mad and just kind of ripped into her yard there, threw all kinds of

stuff around. And so, that's why I tell them, that's why I don't feed them, just let them be.

And these things, like I said, they hang around the rivers every time the thing comes through.

It's always running back down towards the river. We've had so many different things come

through our property each time they've always run back to the river. What is it about the river?

That these things hang around. You know, there's Icaves in those areas. That's why they run back

there to hide, to live, I guess you could say. A lot of good hiding places for them that they can

walk or down in. There's just so many things to share with the people, the do's and the don'ts,

and they'll be careful out there, especially the ladies. I tell me, ladies, be careful. Don't

be going outside by yourself late at night. And if you do, take a malfunction with you. Take

some flashlights and take a sidearm with you just in case. Try not to go out there at night.

You know, if you have to take a malfunction, you're out there with you. Because these things are

watching you. And they'll imitate any kind of animal sound. They'll even try to imitate you laughing.

And these things, they like, if they hear kids laughing, having a good time outside, they'll come in

and they'll start kind of watching. And also we'll show with them. Everybody's so focused

on looking down on the ground for footprints and stuff. You know, like, okay,

Chinese flashlights through trees at night. China flashlights up at night. Check in the trees

because the youngs are usually sitting up in the trees. You know, I had one that lives

to the bottom, less than half a mile from us to the east. This thing was bothering their sheep

in the crawl. And they'd say, hey, this is something in the crawl that's bothering your sheep.

All the whole family, all the boys went out there and they started flashing lights. They gave me

a call and I heard it took off over there. And they're all looking like, there it is, you know,

that took off and jumped off the ditch. And night told their, like I said, they were all focused

down on the ground, flashing their lights down toward the ground. There's a couple of trees back there

across the ditch. And I said, hey, show a flash of light on that tree back there. The flash of light

there was sitting in the tree. There it is. Oh my god, it's, it gets the eyes is red, you know, and

oh boy, our family was just couldn't believe it. I said, I look up in the trees because you never

know what you'll see. So I just, you know, be really careful. This thing jumped off the tree and

it took off. It was gone. You know, it was trying to get the, one of the sheep out of the

corral. I guess it's usually during those times it's when they're really hungry. Let's

say get really hungry. So when they start moving in into the people's property that they're for food.

missing. A lot of y'all, you know, these things yelling and running through people's properties

and all and looking in the windows. So many things, you know, going on that people that are scared.

A lot of people do get scared here. And now I just come, you know, be really careful and I'll go out

and check in some areas. You know, so now this past year, it's been kind of, you know,

it's kind of simmered down a little, but it's still here. I've had a report of it standing

at the river. The color of this one is reddish brown. I get reports of one that is black,

even white, even a salt, a salt pepper color white with like some grayish color tones to it.

Like I said, reddish brown. So there's like different colors that are kind of hanging around

or our area. But the main colors that we have that I've been getting more reports of is reddish brown.

The silver, like a salt pepper colored one, I get a lot of reports of those colors out in the

mountains and black ones. They have the black hair out in the mountains. I try and go and talk with

a lot of people, you know, share with them what you do and not to do and stuff. So that's what I do,

you know, and I share some things that encounters that we've had here, not our own property.

And so it's been, it gets kind of scary at times. It can get pretty scary.

You know, we have not only bigfoot, but we have some other things,

hip to things that are roaming our area. And that's it's first scary, those things. You know, we've had

what they call little people. And of course, we've had some people that have actually seen

a half man and half horse. Even my son has seen one of those too in our backyard

late at night. So yeah, we've got all kinds of crazy stuff that has come through our property.

They can get pretty scary here at times. Things have seemed to have kind of simmered down

now, which I'm really glad. And so we do have, we do get a lot of reports of bigfoot in our area

along the Berbers Hallback, which is about what, six to eight miles from the west of us in the

Corsica Shiprock area. Along those rivers, there's San Juan River, these things. Like I said,

they bunker down from the smallest streams to bigger waters, which means bigger waters means more

food for them. Food source. Be very careful of your surroundings out there. And you know, we've

have had so many experiences with, you know, it's pretty scary. I think the one at the door was

pretty scary. Fascinating stuff, Brenda. That is quite an active area. But you're up in the four

corners of New Mexico. Yes. But I'd imagine a lot of these reports of bigfoot, probably here

around the whole area, including Colorado, Utah, and Arizona. Oh, yeah. Yes. I do. A lot of those

reports are pretty scary, pretty scary. You know, people, what do I do? What can I do? You know,

and you know, I'll share with, like I said, I share with them, put cameras up, get them up,

light up your areas. They don't like the light. The more lighting, you can get the better.

As a matter of fact, when we had 2009 was the, I mean, just it seems like exploded out here.

I mean, I'll never forget those from 2009 all the way to now. But 2009, we had so many reports,

I thought so many reports. And I would share with the people, get some light up. The more light,

you can have the better because they don't like to get into the light. But now they're starting

to be more daring and coming out into the light. But in 2009, when I had my very first

bigfoot conference here in Upper Fruitland, I would chill with the people, get light up. So,

I had this gentleman that works for the, the electric company out of Shipbox into UA.

After the conference was over, he came up to me because so you're the one. You're the one that's

been telling the people to get light, light up street lights up or something. I said, yeah,

I said, yeah, that's me. I've been telling the people to get light because these things,

they don't, you know, they don't like light and the people don't want them on the property.

So, because of you, we are so backed up far behind on trying to get people's street lights up.

They're in that time, people, there's very few people that had street lights up.

Now, today, on one property, some people, some families have put up three street lights on

their property. They brighten up that area, which is so good. It's really good. I tell them,

even though you got those lights up, be careful anyway, because now I'm starting to notice,

they're starting to come out under the lights. They'll be very careful. So, my life has so many

community members in that area coming up to me. So, thank you so much for sharing. And it has

really helped us so much because we don't want these things on our property. It's scary. I say,

yeah, there it is. And now I said, yeah, just be careful, even though you have the lights up. So,

it's helped a lot of people here. You know, like I said, several families out here have two street

lights, three street lights up because they don't want these things on their property.

And, you know, and I tell them, get some lighting on your, on your corrals that way, to help keep

your animal safe. And that has really helped out a lot too as well. So, in your community,

are you known as the Bigfoot Lady? Yes. So, people would come to you with their reports.

Yes. Would people go to law enforcement? Would that be something people would do?

Some do. Some won't. I think the reason why is, you know, we live on the reservation,

Navajo Reservation. So, the Navajo PD is very scarce. I mean, they're there so it's not a very

big, they don't have a whole big police enforcement. So, they're kind of like really limited to get

police out here because the Navajo Reservation is so big. Reports of different things going on,

you could have one, you know, one Navajo PD out here, but it takes them, Jesus, it could take

them 24 hours or almost a week for them to finally get out here. So, by me, sharing what I can

and what I think would help the people kind of take some of that stress off the cops to try

to get out here. So, I think that has helped out a whole lot too as well. So, but, you know,

some people will call the cops if it gets really, you know, out of hand. And a lot of the times,

a lot of them won't come out here because in the Navajo tradition, like I said in the beginning,

you know, you leave these things alone. They're evil. So, don't bother them, you know, a lot of

the natives think that is a taboo for the Navajo people. I mean, the Navajo, a lot of the

Navajo PD police say they will not, you know, go check on these areas because, you know, if they

believe in the Navajo tradition, it's a bad only for them. Something bad might happen to them.

So, that keeps them from coming out here and trying to, you know, do their investigation and stuff

but some, you will look at some Navajo PDs that will come out here and check the area but

it takes them a long time because, like I said, the Navajo reservation is huge, huge area.

And you only got so many law enforcement that can go and check on these areas.

So, that kind of leaves us like, okay, what do we do? So, this is where I kind of try to

I fall in to try to help the people to like, hey, do this, do that. Calm me if it doesn't work or,

you know, and I'll drive around your area. I should drive around late at night making sure that

people are okay. I'm just checking on the animals and stuff. And I would do this when the people

don't even know I'm driving around late at night checking the areas, you know, just making sure

that they're okay. And that's just something that I do. I don't share a whole lot of that part

of it of what I do. I have a little team that we used to get together go check out some areas.

If we get a call, then I'm like, hey, let's go check out see what's going on here. I've got a call

and we'll go and do our little investigation there and put things together like, okay,

then we'll wait to take pictures and talk in whatever and do a video and stuff.

And then put the cameras down at all of that and I'm like, okay, this is what you guys just do

this. Try this. But these things out. Get some lighting, you know, let's try that. But, you know,

don't bother it. Just leave it alone. Let it go. What needs to go, you know, don't try to go chasing

it because you don't know what these things are really capable of. They may seem like they're

off and they ain't all about what you can do if this thing turns on you. There's just that one

time that it may turn on you that, you know, we think that's not going to happen, but it just

might. So, you got to be careful. Just be so very careful about it and how you go about it.

And so, you know, that the people around here in our area, not only in our area, but

what has gotten out, you know, sharing what I shared with them, they'll get the word out.

And that's a really good thing because people are paying attention now, you know, really

watching their areas and their surroundings. What I do, and, you know, like I said, I've had a

lot of different encounters and stuff and experiences up, you know, like, wow, you know,

this thing could have heard us. What did we do? What can you do? You know, not all

the money in the world is going to save you. It's not, you know, you could have a big old

TV show and all of these, I see a lot of some of these big shows, you know, all that,

whatever you're making, it's not going to save you if this thing attacks you. Be careful.

You're very careful. Prevention's better than cure, isn't it? Because it's not like you just

you're hearing these reports. You've actually experienced it. How tall would you have said

this big foot was that was stood in your doorway back in the mid-90s, Brenda?

I'm going to say it's probably close to six and a half, over about six and a half to almost seven

foot tall. It's tall, really tall, and it was not muscular at all. It was kind of straggied looking,

kind of skinny, had long arms, and when it stood at the door, it didn't stand straight up,

it was kind of hunched over a little. And so, yeah, I'm going to say, I'm going to say,

between six and a half to seven foot tall. It was pretty tall, and just the way this thing

dotted off the porches, I was amazed because it was gone. I mean, it moved so fast.

I was like, wow, I didn't know what to make of it.

Six and a half, seven foot tall, that's big. My brother is that tall, and if that thing was stood

in the doorway, I think anybody would be scared. Yeah, well, yeah, we were scared. My brother,

we don't know if we could get that look on the face, as well as you were so scared. I was, you know,

I was scared myself. I just didn't know what to do, and when it started off the porch, I just

heard him close the door, locked it up, and I'm like, okay, kids, let's go to bed.

You know, because the kids didn't want to say, what was it? What was it? Oh, it's nothing, you know,

I'm just trying to push it off, because I didn't want to say this. That's the most stunning

there. I didn't want to scare them. You know, you don't want to scare your kids.

Not at that very, very young of age, you know, you know, I'll never forget that night, you know,

I just, you know, like I said, I always, every now and then I'll go back and think about what to do,

want. Why was it trying to get into the house? Was it the kids? Was it, well, what was it? You

know, I had no idea. I think I said, I must have been scary, especially as you have, you know,

you had children in the house. Did you think it was possibly, they were probably after your kids?

No, I don't know. You know, I can't say that, yeah, it was probably after the kids.

It was a hurt, like I said, I had, I had all the windows open, and it was a hurt that

left the kids, you know, just having fun, laughing and talking, and, you know, maybe it got so

serious that it wanted to come in to see. That's one thing I could think of, but really, I just don't

know what it wanted. I really don't know. And obviously wasn't bothered by your dogs.

Dogs were barking, but it still remained in the area. Other dogs, they were underneath the porch,

they would not come out of underneath the porch. They were scared. They actually hear them whimpering

and crying underneath the porch. They were so scared. And your dogs wouldn't have a problem with

coyotes or any other wild animals. Oh, no, no. They would, they would be barking if it was,

you know, like a coyote or a fox. They would be really barking, but not this time around.

This one, they, they were hiding underneath the porch. Like I said, I could, I could hear them

really whimpering. They were very scared. They, they just would not come out. All the time,

they finally came out was about three after three o'clock when I actually went outside with my

brother and drove the truck down to the end of the field. That's when I noticed what the dogs

started following me. And then when I got to a certain area, they stopped and would not follow me.

And they, they started crying whimpering and they ran all the way back home. And they would not

come back out underneath the porch until they like. Do you still have dogs now? Yes, I have one now.

And when this thing comes around, my dog will bark, he will bark at it, but he'll stay on the porch.

He will not go on to the grass. And also when he's walking on the grass, my dog's very quiet.

He will, he'll stay on the porch. He will not even whimper or nothing. He's very quiet.

So you always notice a visible change in him when these things go around? Yeah. Oh, yeah.

Yep. And you know, sometimes when I go outside later and I have a little dog and right now I have

some small dogs, I take them outside. Even they said something that they're about to,

about two in the morning when they need to go to party, you know, I can hear them whipping and

hear them to house us. Well, okay, they need to go back. So I'll get up and go take them outside.

And another way I can tell that it's close by is, I mean, it is that side-to-side.

I mean, not a cricket, not a bug making the sound. I'm like, okay, it's around. I, you know,

I just get this gut feeling that it's out there in my little dogs. I have some pugs.

They'll go, you should take care of the business on the grass. They'll just stop and sit,

stay right beside me. They will not go on the grass. They're, they run back to the sliding door

like, okay, let me back in. I want to go back in. And I'll take them back in, you know, we'll just go

back in. And so I really watch, watch your animals, you know, they know, they know when it's there.

Oh, sir, and do you have livestock on your property? No, I don't. I just have dogs and some cats.

We do my cousin, my husband's cousin has cows in the bag. So when this thing comes around,

the cows are now, they'll go off, but then they get really quiet. They'll stay in one corner

of the, of the crowd. They're very quiet. And you're obviously even though you had quite

traumatic time back in the 90s, but that hasn't bothered you because you to not only chase them.

Find out, you know, what they're about and where they are now, but you're also educating the

community, which, you know, which is great. Yes, you know, I try to get out what I, I know what I

think that could help the people. Yeah, that's why I'm doing what I do is I just want to help

the people to make sure they're, they're okay and their animals, their livestock is trying to

share with them with what I know. You know, if it can help, then I'm glad with that. I'm happy with

that. You know, it's not about me trying to make a big name for myself. I just want the people

to be careful out there. Whether it be big food, whether it be some other cryptid animal that's

out there, a lot of people should be aware of their surroundings and be careful. Even all,

you know, I've said a lot on a lot of the radio shows, you know, all of you that are in this,

it's a big food or other cryptids. Be careful out there because there's going to be just that one

little short moment. These things may turn on you. Be careful. Be very careful and always let your

family members know where you're at. That way if something ever happens, they can go check those

areas and don't ever go into this field knowing, thinking you know everything because you don't.

I don't know everything. You can be the most famous person in the world and this cryptid stuff

thinking you know it. I know you don't. Just be so very careful out there. That is my,

my word to everybody, you know, just please be careful. This is the fuel you want to get into.

It's not fun in games. You can get hurt too. So be very careful. If you're not aware of your

surroundings and all, you know, this is like I said, there's so many other cryptid things out there

that can hurt you. So be careful. I've gotten so many reports of different things that

that just ignore your mind. What do you do? What do we do? You know, be careful. That's my advice to

all of the people around the world. Please be careful. We just don't know enough about these things.

And I think that goes about saying, you when that goes out into the wilderness, the deserts, the

jungles, be careful. A lot of people go on hikes on their own. They have very little protection.

Listen, we're not just talking about big things here. We're talking about, you know, it could be

anything out there, really. So always, you know, always let people know where you, where you're going,

where you are and take some, some form of, you know, precaution if you can. Oh, yes, definitely,

for sure. You grew up in that area. You grew up on the reservation. I was born in Shiprock, New Mexico,

Shiprock, New Mexico. And I was raised in Farmington, New Mexico, which is about 10 miles from where I

reside right now in Upper Fruitland. So I used to live on the state side, which is Farmington,

New Mexico, where I reside right now is in Upper Fruitland, which is on the reservation.

Which is about 10, about 10, 11 miles west of Farmington. I've been on the reservation for 30.

Oh boy. I should say, since 86, seven, I heard for quite some time now.

And I love it. I really do. I used to not. I always, I would say to myself, I'll never live on

the reservation. Look where I ended up. But you know, I wouldn't change it for the world.

I love it. It's an open space. We're going to go out on five acre plot. I love it. Even though we have,

you know, all these trip to things coming through our property and all, and I still wouldn't change

for anything. Because, you know, I just love where I'm at right now. And I'm hanging in there.

There's some investigation stuff that we've done that we that I put on YouTube.

So check out some of those videos. I haven't posted a new video in a while. Like I said,

because my husband felt sick and take care of him first, you know. And that's another thing is,

you know, all the people that are are doing this big fit investigation stuff or any other

cryptid and all. There's one thing always to remember is, you know, make sure you take good care

of your family first before you start going out into the woods and all the chasing these things.

You know, your family, you need to put your family above all of that and make sure they're all

healthy and taking good care of it. And also yourself don't forget to take care of yourself.

You know, your family need you. So don't put this chasing big foot or other cryptids in front of

your family or always put your family out there first, you know, but God first and then your

family and then yourself, you know, that's how I am. You know, always put God first, you know.

I like it when I say God, but hey, if it wasn't for God, my husband wouldn't be here today.

And so what I'm thankful he's pulled through through a lot. But yes, please just make sure your

family's taken care of and yourself as well. Why is words I couldn't agree more. I couldn't agree

more. And you know, we're glad that your your husband's were on the mend again.

I was on the TV show with them. I can't think of the name of it. Oh no.

Right. There's a segment on Unsolved Mysteries. Oh, there you go. Yep. That's the show.

I found Mysteries. Yes. That's it. That's it. I was on there with the paranormal ranger. Yes.

Nice guys there. I'm interested in some of the stuff that you know. Oh, yes, they are.

They'd get into and research on those reservations. But also to our listeners,

Brenda was also on a very, very recent documentary with David Politis. And we all know David is

a friend of missing 4-1-1. And that was American Sasquatch, Man, Myth or Monster. And I will put

a trailer and some links to that. If you want to check it out, I've watched it. It's really

good, actually. Very good. Indeed. And I believe it's on prime video. I believe it is.

Yeah, but definitely check that out. I also do have a Facebook page with an image

be back active on that page there as well. And like I said, you know, I've put everything

aside for a while to make sure my husband was good to go. So now I'm going to be posting

year for Brenda in 2026. Yes. Can't wait. I'm excited. I would be, you know, I love anything to do

with Bigfoot. Is it fascinating? And of course, I grew up in the UK. So, you know, we don't really

have too many of the walking around. But Brenda, what do you know in what you know about Bigfoot?

So what do you think they are? I believe that they're, I mean, this is my own opinion.

These are evil spirits, evil, evil beings that they're no good. That's just coming from me.

You know, a lot of people disagree, but all the way these things can move and

just what they can do. It's just, it's just not good. So for me, I believe they're,

they could be demonic things, but they're evil. My only personal opinion is they're evil.

Not no good. You know, a lot of Native Americans, they say the same thing, you know, they're,

they're evil spirits, they're bad. They're no good. Maybe at once upon a time, long time ago,

I mean, long time ago, some days, I'd say, yeah, these things were good back then. They used to

help out the people long time ago, but things have changed now. They're no good. You know, a lot of

every time police differently in these Bigfoot trotsquatch, you know, yet, the majority of them,

they say that they're evil spirits, they're just evil beings, you know, don't matter.

I understand that opinion, but sure, I'd imagine, you know, they are absolute experts of their

environment, but it's not just people having sightings and experiences on their property. You

know, you often hear reports of strange lights, portals, basically them vanishing into nothing.

So there was definitely a supernatural side to these.

Yes. I believe everything that you say, you know, because I tell you what, like I said, we've had

so many things going on on our property, especially when these, you know, when they come around,

that we always see a light, every night light, we see what do you call it? Orbs, you know, they always

seem to just show up on the camera, you know, when these Bigfoot come around,

there's always orbs, there's always lights, some kind of light there. The lights that I've seen,

they're like a greenish blue color looking, you know, it's like, wow, it's crazy what these

things can bring, not only itself, but it brings other things in that, you know, you don't,

you don't want to see, you know, I've seen enough that, you know, that really spooked me,

I picked up some stuff on the camera that I still have not put out there on YouTube that it

blows me away. It's like, because of this particular video that picked up this thing on the camera,

it blew me away and also, it did scary, it did. I'm like, okay, do I really want to continue

setting up the camera? Do I really want to see what else is coming through here? Because this

kind of taught the cake, you know, I don't know if I really want to set up the camera anymore,

since then I haven't put the camera back up because that's very kind of, it did, it did scare me

back then. What I set up the camera now, I think I'm ready to set it back up again,

to just see what comes through here again, you know, the area that we live on is pretty active.

I just pray about it and just let it go and we'll see what happens.

Definitely key was updated, Brenda, you know, if you do start getting activity.

I sure will. Yeah, we're interested, we're absolutely interested in that, but we do get big

foot and various different cryptids, including actually even little people now and again,

they are kind of rare because people can be very apprehensive. Now people will report big

foot and they report UFOs, no and ghost, no problem, but when it comes to little people,

I get, I get a lot of emails that people just want to tell me, they're just telling me they

get, no, I don't want to come on a show, I, you know, people won't believe it, you know, people

won't believe me. And some of these reports I've had are from from very professional people,

which generally I would have no reason to make up stories of fairies and elves and all that kind of

thing. But is that, is that something you've heard in the area? And is it something which also

goes back to Navajo folklore and stories and from the elders? Oh, yes, yes. It goes back

way back to a friend of ours that has shared stories about that of the little people very,

I mean, little, geez, how big can I say? Probably, I'm like five, two, so I'm, I'm a little gal.

And the smallest people that I, that people have to say that they have seen is probably just below my

knee to my foot, about half of my leg, my, from my calves to my foot, even smaller than that.

They've had some encounters with the, they say they're really very mean to say that you don't

want to run into those things. And they're very scary looking. All of the world we get to

reports and little stories by little people. And you know, they, they go back, especially in

Europe, Scandinavia, Scotland, you know, all places like that, you know, there's always little

people in folklore. Oh, yeah. So they're also considered spirits and evil and, and there's

something else to be left alone. Yeah, you know, and the, and the Navajo culture, any kind of

cryptic thing, you don't mess with any of that stuff. If you're alone, if you get caught,

you know, kind of looking into it, your parents, during those times, every back then,

we'll get, we'll get after you. Leave it alone, you know, don't be bothering it. Don't be

looking into it because they're just going to start coming around here. Don't bring it back home

with them. Don't bring it here with, when you get home, don't bring it back this way. Don't

bring the spirit back this way. We don't want it around here. A lot, a lot of them get told.

They'll don't bother them. Leave it alone. It's not good. And do you feel being Navajo and

grow up on a reservation when you see things on TV say to do with skinwalkers. Now, the skin

walkers have obviously been around for a very long time, but really in the public eye, it's a relatively

new thing. Do you feel that it's left the truth side of it and more gone into the fictional

things of change would come to the old stories? It has changed a lot back. Oh man, like a long time

ago, the skin walkers used to be a good thing. They used to help with people and stuff. But now,

today, it turns so evil that it's horrible. It is not a good thing to get into that. You might

just say the person's possessed. If you want to become one of those, you have to kill one of your

family members to become a skin walker. Back way back in the old generation, it was nothing like

that. They said, but now it's so different because they use these things to hurt you. If a

family over here doesn't like you, and they're jealous of how things are going for your family,

and they want those things, but they all had to do work for it. But you get a family over here

that's so jealous, then they're going to go hire this person that does this thing, you know,

changes into whatever. And to go start harassing this other family, sometimes they can even kill

the family member, you know, or the friend who ever it is. You know, it's really bad. Now,

today, it's it's evil. We're very evil. It's horrible. How it's changed so much from way back

been to now. Now it's horrible. You know, you can go on to the internet how to be even

tells you how you've become one of those. I was actually surprised when I when I looked it up,

you know, this person was telling me because yeah, it's on the internet. You can see, you know,

tells you exactly what you got to do to become one of those. So, you know, I looked it up and I'm

like, oh my lord, why would they put this out there? This is something that is not to be played with.

You know, I'm like, oh my, you know, I didn't know what to think of that. You know, I'm like,

wow, this is really gotten out of hand. And it's scary stuff. You know, you don't don't

people just stay away from that. You know, it's no good. Yeah. Yeah, it sure has changed from

way back then to now. Totally different. Totally different now. Yeah, different generations,

isn't it? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Be careful. That's all I can say. Oh, just be careful. Indeed,
