Ep 34: Kerri Kasem, My Dad Casey Kasem

Laura interviews Kerri Kasem, Casey’s eldest daughter, advocate, TV and radio producer, writer and host as well as co-founder of KasemCares.org, which she set up to help others experiencing elder abuse and/or coercive control. Kerri’s father, Casey, was best known as the voice of America’s Top 40 as well as the voice of Scooby Doo. Kerri and her siblings were granted conservatorship just before Casey died, but his wife Jean disappeared him. Distraught, Kerri hired a private investigator to track him down. Sadly, Casey died on June 15 2015 and was buried in an unmarked grave in Norway. This is Kerri and Casey Kasem’s story – a story which ended with Kerri and Jean accusing the other of going after Casey’s $100 million dollar estate and claiming the other killed him.
