Jim Piper talks about the importance of presence in leadership.  He teaches the importance of being "all in" and totally present in the situation at hand, simplifying your focus to be more effect in all areas of life and tracking your own effectiveness to be more productive.  Effective leaders plan, evaluate and learn, all of which take presence and focus.  

Jim references "Good to Great" by Jim Collins and "The Advantage" by Patrick M. Lencioni in this episode.  Both books are a great resources for growth and reference found in many a successful leader's personal library.
