As a PhD candidate, George is investigating eating, exercise, and body image psychopathology in men, and how to improve men's access to care for those concerns. He provides consultation work and/or training for healthcare services and charities, schools, universities and other research institutes.
He’s become a leading authority in body image psychopathology and consulted on the new Netflix series “Everything now”, has appeared on ABC news, has been in Men’s Health in the US and UK, and has been and expert participant in multiple panels and discussions on the subject matter.
He started MyoMinds, A mental health organization that focuses on research and raising awareness of the mental health concerns of anyone who exercises including eating disorders, body/muscle dysmorphia, exercise addiction, and sub-clinical experiences.
Expect to learn about George’s personal journey and struggles with some of these issues and how he has used his experiences to focus his research forward his recovery.
