在公共廁所裡都會一台「烘手機」可以減少使用衛生紙又快速，現在大部分的廁所都有一台烘手機！
大家現在幾乎都使用烘手機，但卻會影響小孩的聽力 ?!
在加拿大有位小女孩Nora Keegan，覺得烘手機很吵、耳朵受不了。於是她跟大人抱怨，但似乎不以為意。於是她展開調查，發現烘手機廠商在測試噪音時，儀器通常放在距離牆壁18英吋的地方，對於小朋友來說距離太遠了！Nora激起了實驗精神，利用捲尺、分貝計，對各個兒童常使用的廁所進行距離與噪音測量。經過了一年多的測量，獲得了科學博覽會的青睞，也順利被刊登在加拿大的「小兒科與兒童健康」（Paediatrics & Child Health）期刊上！
