About this episode
I recently posted something on social media that generated a lot of interest and discussion, so I wanted to expand on it inside this episode with you.
It was about my wedding day.
For a period of time, one part of my mind felt like I had felt the “wrong way” on my wedding day.
Despite being over the moon to be marrying my now husband, there was some really sad and heavy personal circumstances surrounding our wedding which I share more about in the episode.
Unfortunately, culturally we are taught that when we go through big life events, that one emotion is acceptable and it’s normally just the positive one. This perpetuates a lot of self judgement and can be incredibly harmful.
This can show up for us in so many ways - when we get a new job, get married or engaged, have babies, move countries and so many more.
This episode is going to be some beautiful medicine for you if you feel like you’ve gone through some kind of experience or a big life event and you felt differently to the way you thought you would.
