You've got to watch it this week. Episodes have been coming out Wednesday. You have to listen to the episodes that I do with Chris Derosa. The last one we recorded, I could not stop laughing. There was one moment I laughed so hard. It was like, you know, when you're laughing so hard, it's a silent laugh. You're just like punching the table, folks, we had a situation like that. So go back and listen to those episodes with him. And if you have not watched the show yet, even if you have not watched for a couple of seasons, a couple of people said to me, I don't know. It just seemed like it got stale or it wasn't into Denver. I have found this season to be highly entertaining. Do I think that most of these couples are going to work on the end? No. But it's been a nice distraction from the rest of the world if you know what I mean.

And Chris and I have so many thoughts. We also have heard your pleas and we will do something where Chris does give some sort of explanation on the appropriate footwear for men in America and Canada and the UK as well. Australia, we didn't forget about you either. Okay. So the first thing I thought this was so funny, bachelor mansion takeover on HDTV. It streams Tuesdays on HBO Max and Discovery Plus. This is the premise. Twelve alumni from the bachelor, the bachelor, the golden bachelor and golden bachelor red, which let's be honest, we don't what we really don't need the golden bats or folks because they are moving back into the iconic mansion, not to date, but to renovate and redesign it. How many times have I said, my God, why don't they update that house? It looks like like shingles are falling off and they always have to hose down the driveway.

7:18It's like Mediterranean style, but it's really dated. I get my hats off to the owners of this house and I'll tell you why. It's my understanding that a young family and every time that they would film the show, they would move out for a couple of weeks. Sure, did the house get beat up in the process? Absolutely. You're putting lighting up, you're moving furniture around, you got to put the bunk beds in for all the contestants, but they make killing off of it. I mean, they're probably putting that money towards, I don't know, investment accounts overseas, put a couple of kids through college, I mean, sky's the limit. They probably made so much money off of letting the bachelors franchise use their house. Again, you've got 12 people that have come back and they are going to renovate it and redesign it. That's a bit of a risk because I don't know, maybe someone looked good for TV, but can they hammer a nail? Do they understand how to place furniture in a room? Do they understand color coordination?

8:19The show blends the design competition with familiar franchise personalities, turning a dating landmark into, obviously, a construction battleground, and again, I'm wondering what's the point of the golden bachelor and the golden bachelor at contestants because they're just going to be like, that's not going to work. I used to live in a house like that. That's stupid. And then you're going to have these young contestants that are like, want to be influencers and I don't know. So you can expect team renovation challenges, design briefs tied to romance, fantasy suites, and franchise history. I think that may be a problem because what if there's a teenager still living in the house? They come back home after a couple of weeks to find out that their bedroom is really designed because of the Mulan Rouge date that Ari Lowendek had, I know, a couple seasons ago. You also have interpersonal drama that's rooted in shared franchise lore because they're all swapping stories. And let's say they bring up Bob Guinea season, apparently, he hooked up the most, although it probably was a close second with Pilot Pete.

9:21And then, of course, you have the heavy dose of HGTV transformation satisfaction and that's perfect for everybody who loves anything that's renovated. So bachelor nation, nostalgia, HGTV, convert competition, it's called bachelor mansion takeover. I actually was invited to go to the bachelor mansion to see how it all turned out. And I am thinking about leaving the county of Orange to go see this in person. So if you are interested in joining me, let me know. So HGTV, March 2nd, bachelor mansion takeover, again, it streams Tuesdays on HBO Max and Discovery Plus. All right, Southern Hospitalities back. This is my friend Leva's show. It's on Bravo. It begins March 4th. Leva returns as the boss of Republic Lounge in Charleston, which I am telling you. It's on my bucket list this year to get out of here and go to Charleston. And I'm going to go hang out. So this season brings back Joe Bradley, Bradley Carter, TJ, Maddie Lake plus Mia Grace

10:21and Molly. The show lives at the intersection of workplace drama, Charleston nightlife culture, relationship chaos, and of course ambition versus entitlement, which is interesting because the Vanderbomb reboot is just not getting the interest that Southern hospitality does. And I'm going to tell you why. You can't recreate lightning in a bottle. I mean, the same restaurant in LA, different group of people, not as compelling. They don't have the tight relationships. People enjoy Southern hospitality because it's a different part of the country. It's aesthetically different, different personalities. And I think for me and for you, because I believe you guys are also a student observers, you consider yourself culturally anthropologist, you like to see somewhere different with different people and figure out how does that group of people make their way through the world based on where they live, their shared experiences, their life experiences, et cetera. So that's why I think you're going to like it. In this season, you're going to just see romantic triangles, staff power plays, shifting alliances,

11:27all the things that sucked you into the show in the first place. Southern hospitality is on Bravo March 4th. Hunt for the missing Chicago, true crime folks, you're going to love this one. So it's on ID March 4th. And it's a retired Chicago detective, Pamela Childs, and I have interviewed her. And boy, is she fascinating, compelling, inspiring, et cetera. She reopens cold cases, spanning decades. So she's walking mirrors through investigative missteps, overlooked leads, and of course, the emotional toll on families. This is again set in Chicago. She was a Chicago police officer for 29 years and retired and then came out of retirement for this. We're going to see archival footage with relation to cases, interviews of family members, investigative reconstruction, and a methodical detective driven narrative, which I know so many of you really enjoy. So unlike sensationalized true crime, this one is very grounded in process.

12:29So I know a lot of you consider, all right, if I were an detective and I had taken like a sliding doors experience, I think you're going to like the show for that reason. I really love this show on Bravo and got to know a lot of the women who were on the original version of the show. This one's back. It's called Ladies of London, The New Rain, REIGN. You've got American expats, another fascinating window, and international socialites navigating social hierarchies, marriage markets, status signaling and business ventures, so everything that I love in a show basically. The original series was really about Instagram, aristocracy, influencer, nobility. If you remember, it was like Bruxett's cultural shift. This one is a more modern take and I'm really interested to watch it. If you miss early real housewives before brand building took over and you enjoy class politics, if you're fascinated by British social structures, write up your alley. You can expect etiquette warfare, passive aggression, those kind of things. Ladies of London, The New Rain, Bravo, March 5th, can't wait for you guys to watch with me. 17:37the dirty rotten scandals, the Dr. Phil show. This is an exposé style documentary that is unpacking allegations behind one of America's most trusted daytime talk franchises. Through former guests, staff and insiders, it alleges coercive production tactics, exploitation of vulnerable participants, manipulated narratives, and profit over care. Yikes. Yikes, a roux. Reminds me of elements of the America's next top model exposé, which ran on Netflix. I'm wondering how it will be on E. I think it's timely because, of course, we're in this post-toxic set, reckoning era, you know, with the Ellen Show scrutiny, you know, reality ethics debates, also the blurred line between therapy and entertainment. So I think it fits squarely into the cultural reassessment of 2000's TV. So again, I think if you're interested in interrogating the self-help industrial complex, this is up your alley.

18:38Dirty rotten scandals, the Dr. Phil show, E. March 4th at 9 p.m. Now I did an episode about this last week and now you can watch it. It's called Friends Like These, The Murder of Skylar Nice. It's out on Hulu on March 6th. So in 2012, 16-year-old Skylar Nice disappears from her West Virginia home. The investigation eventually revealed a deeply unsettling truth involving her closest two friends. They murdered her. This is a crazy story. We've got elements of teenage psychology, friendship, betrayal, identity conflict, also the small town secrecy. And still to this day, there are people that are wondering, what was the reason these two girls killed their best run? There, there's a lot of speculation. Now in the episode that I did, I interviewed the director Claire and then the FBI polygraph expert, Dr. Rob Ambrugino, and he walked me through what it was like to interrogate the two girls that murdered their friend. So it's really interesting, it's three-part doc series, go watch it on Hulu, and then

19:41also listen to my episode and share it with the people that you know that have followed this case as well. A friend, a murderer, is on Netflix on March 5th. It's a Danish True Crime Doc series centered on horrific crimes committed by someone trusted within a rural community. So what sets it apart is it's a Scandinavian True Crime story, which tends to focus on the psychology. So I find they avoid sensationalism, it's more of an emphasis on societal ripple effects. So the breakdown of communal trust, I would say, is the thematic anchor here. So you can watch it, it's called a friend, a murderer, Netflix, March 5th. The TikTok killer is on Netflix, March 6th. This is a disappearance investigation shaped by social media. So it's tracing digital footprints, pair of social relationships, and online manipulation, which I think is most terrifying now, especially when you see how absolutely horrid people can be on social media. So in terms of like a cultural context, we're going to see True Crime intertwined with influence

20:43or culture. How digital evidence is a primary narrative driver, and of course the dangers of algorithmic fame, which I don't know. I feel like I hear so much about what's in someone's algorithm 24-7. So I want you to watch this because I think it's exploring modern identity performances. And also it feels extremely current because this is more of like a Gen Z True Crime story. So it's the TikTok killer, Netflix, March 6th. And then of course, I want you to watch the pink pill sex drugs and who has control. You'll remember I interviewed Cindy Eckert last Friday. The documentary about her story is on Paramount Plus in March 6th. This is a feature-length documentary about the battle to bring Addie, which is often dubbed the female viagra to the market. And it explores her FDA approval battle. She fought the FDA two times and finally got it approved. But of course, gender bias in medical research, which is as we discussed, maddening, pharmaceutical

21:46politics, and the cultural discomfort around female desire. And it centered in part on her advocacy. So I think if you are interested in women's health, sexual health, the disparity in research in women's health and in women's sexual health, I mean, this is really something that all women should watch. And I think especially because of there's so much cultural shame around women's health, also like capitalism versus public health, sexual health and equity. I'm telling you, you're going to want to watch it. The pink pill, sex drugs, and who has control, Paramount, March 6th, and go listen to my interview with Cindy. So that is your list this week.
