EP 120: Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation with Dan Buffett

Your host Kyle visits with Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation (HCTF) CEO Dan Buffett at their Victoria, BC headquarters. This is an opportunity to learn about the great work HCTF does for all wildlife in British Columbia and discuss one of the largest funding mechanisms for conservation in the province.

We don't shy away from some of the contentious issues including predator management. We also discuss other means that wildlife funding can be increased in BC like other jurisdictions beyond our borders.

Dan dives into his early days growing up in the Lower Mainland and what drove him to this space. He talks about the genesis of HCTF and priorities for their organization. HCTF has been a valued collaborator and partner with WSSBC on numerous projects and we are grateful to work with them on shared wildlife conservation initiatives.
