Ep 12 - Why You Here? with Darren “Dit” Watson

The guys are joined by a very special guest that role models what it truly means to be more than a dad- Darren “Dit” Watson. They discussed the cause and effect of arguing in the household in front of the kids (4:27). Dit shares his stance on his children’s mother bringing their new boy friends around his kids (5:24). He talks about the fear of starting over with a new born again (10:30) and the struggle of having a long distance relationship with his youngest son (12:20). Dit shares how he became a foster parent (18:18) and his experience in the adoption process (28:17). He talks about all the backlash he received for teaching his children firearm safety (33:11) and how he started Born 2 Protect (34:19). Dit is a certified firearm instructor, crisis intervention, and first aid instructor.  Also, he legally sells firearms and their accessories such as hostler and sights. 
He discussed the importance of treating gun shot victim quickly rather than recording them with a cell phone (36:34). They conclude with a few rounds of documented Quality Time (38:50).
