I think they're still going to win 10, 11, 12 games, even if that's their defense for a while. Really? I do. Okay. So I, yeah, not great long term if you're talking about winning Super Bowl, some things like that. Yeah, hope some dreams. All the talk of your window closing constantly. Yeah, all that, all that good stuff. One thing I wish Dan Campbell never said after that game against San Francisco, the NFC championship game. Oh, that might have been our best shot. Turns out, why do you have to say that? Yeah. That's the talking point whenever we have a terrible game like last night where our defense had no idea what the F they were doing.

6:38We all, we all turn to the same stuff. It's like, why do you, why do you bring in a white receiver for three first or third round picks or, you know, why, why do you have a white, wide receiver returning, fucking puns and kick returns in time, Kennedy? A guy that's been cut 19 different times. What's as long as return ever and he's a white guy, I get it. I like white guys. It's good for us. White guys a little bit, but God damn it. My favorite team when we need every yard we can get because our defense is terrible. What are we doing here? And our linebacking core absolute pieces of shit. I mean, I love Jack Campbell, but God, and I didn't understand he was crying last night and rightfully so, but God, if he looks over at his right and see Derek Barnes, Malcolm Rod Regas and Devon White, who was good five years ago. Anyway, hey, man, hey, all right, we're going to dig back into this game. We're also going to get into your groovy doing after you watched last night, though, you really think that this is a double digit win team. I do. I do. I do. 8:42We've done almost 1500 shows. Never has couch couch always lets me pre show. No one he's ready. And then all of a sudden, he's like staring at me. I'm like, what are you staring at me for? Well, this happened. Cody's got us all thrown off today. The lion's screwed me. You're all thrown by Cody in there. I just like, okay, all right. Well, let's get into the lion's game. And we have our friend Cody Tucker, who many of you know from his time at the Lansing State Journal, his most memorable story is probably the Charles Rogers story when finding Charles Rogers, which was, which was well read to say the least a decade ago. Cody, welcome, man. It's good to see you guys, man. Is that Cody or Michigan man? I love this. Cody is the Ben Johnson of the Lansing State Journal. As soon as he left, straight in the shater. Oh, well, you're too kind. I just, I'm sitting here listening to you guys and I'm like, man, Jason and I got so much trouble when I lived here for two years. Oh my God. And Graham, you really took me under your wing while I was here and showed me the ropes around this area that I'd never been before. So man, it's good to see you guys. Cody got to see Drunk Jason a lot in his time in Lansing at the tail end of my run, my

9:45drinking run. You got to see some of the best. Yeah, we were at, we were at, it's your wedding where Elizabeth first met, met Jason and wasn't the greatest. Has it talked to me since? Can I, can I say Jason, when we first met, you had left your headphones at some nice young lady's house and we drove you to her house and you jumped through her window to retrieve your headphones and get the hell out of college. And then the next time we had dinner together, you were with some other hoe and you were like, I don't even know this chick's name, but she's paying the bill and I'm never talking to her again. So Jason, I knew you were kindred spirits immediately. That's all accurate. No lies told. Very, very happily married guy now. Absolutely. Teresa, wonderful. It's very, very, very, very, very, yeah. We had some wild oats that were soed before I met you. Graham like cutting his hand on a potato soup can or something at midnight. That was your wild time. No, it was your, so I'm the same guy. I forgot about the headphones thing. Sorry, Teresa.

10:46She doesn't care, believe me, I'm right. I'll do that because it was a funny story. Oh, man. Okay, I just needed those headphones back. You know, I love that we've never heard that story on the show. Again, well, this is what I need Cody here for. Right. Because some of those times they don't always sudden, I need my memory jagged a little bit. Okay. Well, yes, that's a good one. If you have any, no, don't. Absolutely. I knew that young lady's name, though, at the restaurant. She just was the young. She may be listening. No, no. Young lady. I'm glad you corrected me. It was the headphones girl, though. Oh, it was the same one. Oh, it was the same. Yeah, yeah, that was the same one. Oh, you are a noted fan of Josh Allen. One of my memories of the two of us is we were covering Michigan State Ohio State football. It must have been like 2017, 17, 17 down there. And we went to a bar after the game to watch Wyoming and Josh Allen play. Who was it again? Air Force.

11:46Air Force. Watching that, you and that emotional state and you and that, I mean, it was, I mean, I can only imagine that people who truly find religion, that's what it, what it looks like. It was quite a, quite a day. Oh, my gosh. This man is into this. Well, and you're right. I absolutely used to be and I'll never forget this Chris Alari telling me, you know, dude, you never want to cover your favorite team, which is something I've been doing now for eight seasons. You would say you never want to see other sausages made. You do not want to cover your favorite team. And I think about that often because it's just not the same, right? I mean, if you're doing your job right, it's not the same. Yeah. So it's totally different. Do I want them to win? Of course. But if they don't, I'm here to tell you the story and there's not that emotional nutcase anymore. Do you wish you had never done it for that reason? That kind of sucks because on Saturdays, I'd much rather be raising hell and having fun. Because now I don't have that anymore. I mean, I actually watch a lot of Michigan State now just to, you know, they're kind of pull for Michigan State now. That's a lifeline. You can be anyone now.

12:50You're free. Well, yeah, Cody, by the way, is 7220 sports. And you started this site and did it for a while and then sold it and still run it out and Wyoming and podcasts. And people know Cody's work from his time here. You were the guy who went into Hebrew, Boo Boo Thompson, right? And the mental institution and interviewed him. I mean, that was, I always thought that was your great strength. You get anybody to talk to you. Yeah. And fantastic. And people don't know who he is. Michigan State Spartan who, if you want to know how it used to be done, guys who probably shouldn't have been in college at any point. That's, he was at the late in the Sabanira NFL caliber guy. A guy who refused to put a shoes on. The story was told that at the Citrus Bowl, after Nick Saban had left in Bobby Williams' coaching team, might have been the first sign they weren't going to be able to rain everybody in post-posed-dress, draws to tell him post-saban shoes.

13:53So yeah, you did awesome work for us. And well, the first of a line of storytellers in that role that we lost that went on to really good things and we missed nearly Atlantic State Journal to say the least. So anyway, I am a noted skeptic of Josh Allen on this show. I think early on, I say they should trade him. Yes, you did. Why? Why? What was my, it's your take. I don't remember. I mean, we would know in the show for eight years. And so this was Josh Allen, the idea that he might not be able to be accurate enough to be in a great NFL quarterback. That was I think my thought. And because he was a white, he went to Wyoming. He didn't say that. Those two things were never, probably all those never. And some factor in your never, never brought it. It's okay to be wide at quarterback. You're right. Yeah, just not a kid. Not in Graham's world, but you know, some world. So anyway, I obviously come around. I think he's the best quarterback in the NFL right now. You add to though. Yeah, I mean, it's the evidence is overwhelming in front of you. And last night, look, the Lions were up against it.

14:55You know, they're, they're banged up already there. A few days after, you know, a tough win. You're opening a stadium and that, that was always going to be a difficult game to win. But it, you know, Josh Allen made easy work of them. What, what, what, what do you, first of all, what do you make of Josh Allen, the, the, you're still a massive fan of his. And the quarterback, he's become like, is, is he the best quarterback in the NFL? So I got, first of all, I got to admit that my room at the Ritz Carlton in, in Holt does not have prime. So I was only able to watch the highlights last night. But when I saw that, I was not shocked to say, at least I've been preaching the gospel of Josh Allen for a long, long time. And obviously had a lot of bias back in the day. But you just, you only saw that dog in him, man. You knew that he just, he has it. And he has all those physical attributes and everything that we always saw. Yeah, the knock on him was his accuracy. And they got some people around him. They grew around him. And, you know, as a fellow Denver Broncos fan, Graham, I was still, I'm still heartbroken.

16:01The Denver didn't take that chance on him. And what Denver Broncos football could be right now? It just, that's what I can't help but think about. I lived here when, when the bills took him. And I just, I wasn't shocked, but I understood, I understood why people were hesitant, you know, against P five teams. Like when I was here, they lost to Iowa, they lost in Nebraska. You know, he had a few shots at some P five teams and he never, he didn't perform very well. But I would hardly say that was his fault. The, I think Denver is going to be in the spot. Unfortunately, I haven't paid bonics yet. But if, if they were to go on there, bonics is a little bit different quarterback, but he's a little Jared Goff. And the idea that I think he is good enough with the right pieces around you to take you where you need to go. But you got to have everything right. And once you pay a guy like that, it's hard to have everything right. And so I think that's part of the line. And, um, and that's that next couple of tears down of, of quarterback. All right, Jason, let's get into the, like, it, what point last night? I'm early on it was bad. But the score down 21, nothing I knew it was over.

17:02Well, no, I'm just serious. They couldn't get any stops. They were out of position on defense. And that's my big issue with last night is Calvin Shepard. You can sit there. I guess who do we point fingers at? Is it Brad Holmes? Obviously Dan Campbell takes some of the heat for this because he is the head coach. And I think some of his problem is, and we talked about it before, Graham, is that he's got coach, Antonio Inem. Dan Campbell, that is where he's too loyal to some of his guys and some of this guys on this team that shouldn't be on this team. The Tom Kennedys, the Malcolm Rodriguez, like all of those guys that they're because they're these grit guys and they'll bite your F and E caps off. The problem is they have no side to side speed. Like last night, that Dalton concai touchdown. I called it before they even hiked it because we can't for my life, my whole lifetime and my 49 fucking years of watching this Lions team, the play action to the tight end on the goal line that they can never cover. And even a guy like me who doesn't know as much ball as all these guys that tell you how much ball they know can't figure out how to stop it. And it just absolutely drives me nuts. So I want, you know, the injuries and I get it. And people want to shit on Drew Petsting and all that stuff.

18:03I thought the offense looked fine for what we had to go through on a short week. Blake Miller from Clemson who missed his first game in his whole lifetime. The guy's been playing and never missed a game. Pee Wee high school Clemson all at four F and years. Guess what? Week two of the Lions. He's out for that game. I mean, I just the injuries absolutely suck. I get the excuse. We want to lay on it in the short week and all. And we were going into a buzz saw with the bills. But when you play football like they played last night, you just know you have no shot. And I know it's only two weeks in. You don't want to sit there and jump to conclusions. But holy hell, what are we doing? Brad Holmes, what are we doing? Are we trying to make any moves whatsoever? That secondary looks like they have no idea what they're doing. It'll be very interesting to see what happens because they now have 10 days before they play again. And they won't play a challenge like this. So it's also that. But there were some signs of it against New Orleans. And there are some obvious criticisms. The last couple drafts, you know, obviously you you you trade trade to get Isaac Tesla and you give up. They're getting brought up. I understand. But why wouldn't it?

19:04Well, because I mean, the picks that he made, I mean, Tyler Williams, Tate Ratledge, those guys could come in and play. I understand we want to sit there and harp on the drafts and you go to 25 and 26. It's it's kind of early to sit there and kind of shit on his drafts. It's more more to me. It's Brad Holmes, not you know, in the in the general manager role, you got to kind of make moves ahead of schedule. And I just think they just sit around and waste time like the, you know, teams like the Eagles, the Rams and maybe I'm forgetting some other team. But they go out there and make moves when they know they're, you know, they deficient in some of these areas that we're in. We all see it. We all knew the secondary was going to be a problem, even before the season, before we even saw any preseason games. And they have to have to because they don't have Josh Allen. Like the bills are not better than the Lions. The bills have Josh Allen, right. And that makes them better than the one. And then Kirby Joseph. Well, I mean, Kirby Joseph isn't coming back. I mean, we're talking about he needs, he's like praying to gods and all of a cycle, all this shit in Florida, he's trying to do. We should send him to Germany and maybe they can have a knee replacement thing there, read, do all of his blood. I don't know what it is. But basically there's no way Kirby Joseph's coming back. Brian Branch isn't coming back to October. We knew that before the season starts.

20:05So Brad Holmes, what are we doing? That's my question to him. And secondly, Dan Campbell is going to have to make a tough decision with Calvin Shepherd here shortly. So the rest of the, but he won't. The schedule goes like this. I mean, it is nice. They, they, the 10 days off and they host the jets. They go to the Panthers, to the Cardinals, host the Packers, host the Vikings, to the dolphins. I mean, like that, they should be, there should be a number of wins that, that even if they're not a great team, that, that, even late in the year, you like this. I think the lion's schedule is tremendous. The problem is ultimately the goal is not just to get back to the playoffs. This team, I think we'll get back to the playoffs, even as constructed. They'll make some enough tweaks and everything like that, right? I fucking know. That just with his defense, you're telling me with all of this, with seven, given up 71 points in two games. And I know the Saints are up and coming in shock last week. We should wear two point conversion away in overtime last week from being own to what is the solution? The solution is you got to make some moves and bring some talent in here.

21:06That is the solution. What does that look like? To trade for Joey Porter or something like that. Who do you get these 10 cent guys? You're trying to flip Devon White when he was good four years ago. And you're trying to bring them in thinking there's a magic that's going to happen. Brad Holmes, you want to talk, forget his drafts. He's whipped on some of these free agent guys that he thinks he can just do patchwork. And it's just the waters coming in and he's trying to put a little piece of gum on it. Whatever the analogy is, they were great on the offensive line at one point. And that allowed and then they put their money on offense. And so that allowed me to. Ragnar Agnow retired. Dacker decided that he wanted more money. So you know, that whole Ragnar situation last year kind of set it all in motion. And it tries to do patchwork. And then he get Cade Maze from the Panthers. And then of course he gets injured. I just think the injury thing. I understand all teams go through it. But you got to be kidding me with a guy like Blake Miller missing the first game in the second week. You know, as a lion. It's just mind blowing. I just more for more of me. It just you didn't look like a serious football team. Everything looked difficult. And I know the bills are kind of an offensive juggernaut. But did not to not put them in third down situations.

22:09Even early was really shocking to me and watching guys out of place and not turning their heads. And you know, like Barnes, he was turned around. He didn't know what to do with himself. We're not running a spy. You're playing man coverage against a guy like Josh Allen. Are you out of your F and mine? I don't care what your personnel is. It's just not. It's just not good. Yeah. What would you do if you were a lion's fan or a or a lion's move to Wyoming? Yeah. Become the Bronco. Well, no. I don't even watch the NFL anymore to be honest with you. Wow. Like I watched Josh. What's about it? Freeze on a first name basis. I watched. Yeah. I watched Josh. I watched. I watched. It's a Wyoming thing. Yeah. The Greg Doyle, Caitlin Clark. You're an oppressed conference of Josh Allen. You do that. I'm glad you're here. I've never been in that spot. I know. That's why I'm not allowed around any of my heroes either because I go full Greg Doyle. I don't like it. John Daly at a tournament.

23:10Absolutely. Just ignored me. That's tremendous. All right. Well, before we wrap up here with you, Cody, you are here to cover Wyoming at Central Michigan. Yep. I, I have become intrigued by this game. And we are in a few minutes going to what we're betting presented by the firekeepers. I casino and sportsbook happen. As you download the app this week, those of you don't have it. There is a game that I think we ought to pay attention to that was off my radar. And I don't think either of us thought about it. You are here to cover Wyoming at CMU, which is a pick them in Mount Pleasant tomorrow afternoon, went Saturday afternoon. You do not think that this is that you do not have a lot of faith in CMU. No, the triple osm and one and a half point favorites all week. And I mean, they struggled badly against Colgate last week. Their offense is Wyoming struggled granted to against Northern Colorado last week. But CMU's offense is just rough. I mean, their average in 53 passing yards of game, Angel Flores has taken a beating. He can run, but man, they have not thrown the ball at all.

24:13So if you can make them one dimensional, which they already are, you can stop their running game. Their quarterback power, especially like and Wyoming's a desperate team. They have a coach who's in their third year. Lot of cat calls right now in Laramie and he needs to win. And this is a game they absolutely should win. I'm all in. I'm all in on the pokes. I mean, I'm either given a massive donation to firekeepers or firekeepers is given one to me. One of the others know there's no way, no way around it. I would be stunned. I would be and not the Wyoming's been great on the road, but I would be absolutely stunned if they don't find a way to win this game. Have you covered a game up at the beautiful Kelly Short Stadium before? No, my ex-wife went there though. So when I lived here, we went up and checked it out. And actually when Wyoming played CMU last was Josh Allen's last game and Wyoming uniform. And that was the 2017 famous Idaho potato bowl. Okay. Went to O'Kelly's and watched it in the moment. Pleasant. So I walk in decked head to toe and Wyoming shit. And people are just like, who the hell is this? Like they didn't expect me at all.

25:13And then about 30 quarters, originally later, I was sleeping on the couch. I was doing the count Chocula left the entire time or count Dracula because CMU turned the ball over eight times that day. So I had everybody in that bar one to strangle me, including my, my bride. tremendous. And that hasn't changed a bit either. Why she's the ex-wife. Yeah, that's right. That wedding night did not, did not lead to a lifelong lifelong marriage. We should have just had a party. Yeah, the party was great. You could say that. I don't know Jason can remember it, but it actually do. I do remember some of it. Yeah, Teresa's second date with Jason. Yeah. To help you go to the bathroom. Yeah, she held my penis. She held me up. There's all that penalt in my beforehand because I show up the Cody's wedding and I show up early because I got dropped off because, you know, I'm not driving. And so, you know, pills, booze and all of a sudden I go up and Cody's up there with all of his like groomsmen. I didn't know what else to do. I didn't know if I was impeding. I probably was. But all of a sudden you guys are handing me penalt in, you know, coach, rest in peace.

26:13He was handing. I'm absolutely hammered before you're even wedding. Stop me too. I remember when I came up and was like, hey, you want to get married today? I'm like, huh? And they're like, no, really? It's starting. And then I remember my uncle being so smashed. He were supposed to walk out with these certain chicks and he's like, that's not my check. I was like, just go, dude, just go. I was walking down the aisle like right ahead of Emily. Oh, it was a mess. It was. I stared off into the creek the whole time. I was a gonchill. I just remember talking to couch about the NBA for like 25 minutes. I look over and Elizabeth is just like, I can't. We got to get out of here. And then I made fun of the daddy daughter dance. And then some late, some girl at the table told on me, went and told Emily. And then all shit broke loose. And I was like, I just didn't like the song. I don't know. The daddy daughter dance is fine. You know, I don't even remember the daddy daughter dance. So you're one step ahead of me. And trees didn't show up till hours later. So I was, yeah, I was in the middle of all that. And she still showed up looking beautiful. And I was like, who knows what I said?

27:15Man, that's when you know you found a true one. I really, yeah. Yeah, it just was inevitable. She loved you as a drinker. Oh, yeah. She saw me at my worst and stayed around. So, yeah, absolutely. Well, Cody, it is good to see you, man. It is good to hear the voice. Yeah, I mean, your voice is built for this stuff. We totally do impression. Jason does a bunch of different voices in his Michigan. No, I do like four. His Michigan man voice sounds very similar to your. Who is Michigan man? It's Michigan man. It's just a guy that just loves passion. More blue. He's passionate about the, you know, the coaches. I have multiple. It's, that's my voice for you. It's for Michigan man. It's, yeah, Ossie and just. Oh, no. Oh, I know. Yeah, see this now, even that coach. I do it for Steve Owen. All right. I got a few. I just love people are so discussed with it. Does not sound Australian. You know what being in the studio, too, Jason, it reminds me of when you and I filled in for Ryan Schueling. That one week and we gave the Wonder Lake test over the year and some guy called in to answer how many you were like playing the music and you're like, how many states?

28:18States. And the guy said 48. You went, oh boy. Does that count Cuba? Yeah, that was a great one. That's a great idea for that. It's a great, very, very, it really was. Well, we got in a lot of trouble from Doug back then. Yes, we were making fun of somebody for having more children than the score they got on the Wonder Lake test. Yeah, dogs who also does this. Oh, he's a neck. Oh, oh, he was like, guys, I don't think that's good. You guys should be doing the Wonder Lake test. I'm like, I was at races. Like what are you talking about, Dougie? I love you. But what the always culturally sensitive Doug there. Would you call him Talcom X back then? I'm going to get you in so much trouble, Jason. No, I better get that home. Well, anyway, it has been so good to see you, Cody.

38:34Just based on that is it fair for the expectation for this year to be the middle of the road finish. Where you surprise the money is as high as it is given the apparent lack of talent on the roster. So I think every program is about to go through this where do you want to simply tie your expectations to the value of your roster. Like if you're organ and you have maybe the most expensive roster in the big 10. You know is what happens is completely unacceptable. And you can argue it is and I think that's that's that's fine. It's going to lead to a lot of hard years because obviously if you're organ anything but maybe a lost Ohio state is unacceptable just based on the money. It's never going to be that perfect. But I do think and at some point when you've had long enough to build up. You know five years from now. When we have a real sense of what the money is you know say if the protect college sports at goes through and the rev share is double what it is now and everything's been in place for a minute you've had time to do what you need to do to develop that. I think it's fair to expect whatever you want to expect from your team and it just because their payroll happens to be lower that year that's not an excuse.

39:40They've chosen to build a roster a certain way. But I think right now it's probably it probably does lend itself if things are accurate and I think you already saw Boston college coach push back on finances and stuff and in coaches are always. To be honest coaches lie a lot I mean. Yeah well pat and our doozy was just saying talking about being the longest 10 year coach of pit saying well where would I go I always want to only be here the guy's tried to get the MSU job like four times like. If you really want to win the Super Bowl and you've got the rest of this schedule happening you leave a lot of dudes home you're not wasting that game you don't go overseas you don't tell yourself how you use that as a city. Especially when the rest of your schedule sets up like this most of the teams have much worse schedules than this I would I would especially because you're playing the Patriots if you're playing the dolphins over there and it felt like a game you had to win. We find playing the Patriots over there go lose the game stay healthy you might lose the game anyway come back be healthy against the bucket tell those people like Michigan fan Jordan and his wife Sam that are going to Germany that they're going to leave guys behind.

49:26The thing is to act like the smartest guy in the room when you have one ship I mean yeah you turned around our franchise like it's great to be competitive in some of these games but are we a serious contender and everybody talks about our window closing all the time and that just annoys me why does it have to close. It's closing because of Brad Holmes it's not really closing because that we want it to close or we don't have the money to get guys where we have a lot of our prime guys are on really good deals. So you have to pick up some sort of your deficient at defensive end pick up some guy not just some 10 cent guy that you're trying to hope and flip it into a dollar 20 but what does that mean pick up some guy so where you trading a left tackle where you trade yes you have some capital you have the ability to make certain trades you have to pull the trigger on some of these if your defense looks at that bad go goodbye tomorrow. 51:42I'm the passing just go green oh god. So they beaten Michigan is a 25 point a dog before and and they've had some there've been some big ups up there but the top one is Ohio State 98. So this would be bigger because that was a 28 point spread this is a 29 and a half point spread and that frankly was a Michigan state team that was like that would not have been a 28 point spread today because we know too much too many people are gambling too many people are smart with it that would have been a you know 21 point spread and it's still a bit of massive upset but that Michigan state team had like a bunch of bunch of NFL dudes that you know robyer Smith on that team and Julian Peterson and I'm not sure if you know what I'm saying. Placks go burrs and then said Rick urban like it would just that team was loaded and a lot of ways and so yeah it was a big upset at the time but that would be this would be the biggest upset in Michigan state football history.

52:51Ethan does MSU make a playoff during a less years time on campus and answer the other part of the first question I don't see there going to pull off I don't think it's going to happen it's not going to be just because it's rainy and I don't think it's going to happen. Does MSU make a playoff in the next well so here's the thing you have to remember now how long is somebody on campus in all of this gets interesting because everybody's got five years now and a less you'll read shirt is so you would add five years anyway but so he'll have two years after this assuming he takes them all. And so the question is in the next assume they're not going to the playoff this year in the next two years is MSU a playoff team and I think it's fair to think or to want to expect them to be competing for a playoff in two years. In Pat Fitzgerald's third year I'm not saying you have to be the top team in the country with a buy and everything but the 12 team playoff and frankly what by then could be a 2014 playoff. I think they ought to be competing for one whether they get one I don't know but so I you know I I would say that there's a chance of at least relative to what expectations should be.

53:51Alex may or next if you were given complete control of MSU's offensive game plan for Saturday what would you run as much as possible in short in the game or take a lot of shots have some trick plays lined up or accept the possibility of being blown out. You definitely want to use some you know exotics as they call them you want to have a few things that are unexpected. But yeah you want to shorten the game especially can you want to get the ball and came out of his hands and you want to find something that works and stick with it and and some of that is simply as if you're going to have a chance in this game somewhere on your offensive line you're going to have to find an advantage and you're going to have to run behind it and you're going to have to have some success there and then you know but you're not going to be able to control the clock right on offense I mean it's going to be it's not a day's defense. It's tough. Yeah I mean that's the thing that's why they don't have a chance in this game because to me to have a chance they would need to shorten the game and I don't know how they can do that I don't see them being able to do that and you know maybe I'm wrong on all this and maybe you know you get down there and it's like wait Mitch can say way better than we realize and in Notre Dame a lot to be made of them but they're not you know this isn't like the best team in the history of the world here I just I'm struggling to picture right now.

56:02And this is the problem when you have a lot of children mostly covering these programs and people are just you know I mean it is interesting because we talked to Cody here and he talked about how there's parts of that regret or wish he didn't ever went back to cover. Why only because he's lost that ability to feel the way he used to right you see all the sausage of Maine you're a little too and and there are a lot of people cover MSU who are sort of cover him who are just sort of there to take it all in and there are the people giggle you know and there are a lot of students and look people can get caught up in a moment it was like a healthy chordle though it was kind of weird like I would just be like you know it was yeah hey like I wasn't that offended by because it is AI and it's ridiculous and I think if you get offended by it it makes it worse because the people will just keep doing it because there was Holly row ones where he's got a lot of people. 58:27We aren't spending enough to be competitive it's not we it's it's it's this this whole system that is ridiculous that you have to get enough money out of and it's not the mission it's not taking partner because they are that's how they have more than the they have like 10 million more maybe than the revs share and that's how which is a basketball has you know certainly more than double what the revs share offers them on to build the roster it's all you know it's just early enough in Spartan Ventures which is supposed to be what helps design how they're going to do this and what they want to take part in and early enough in the Papua Gerald era that I think where they're at isn't awful there are lots of teams below them there are teams that are competitive below them and I really think you got to get to that like 30 31 million range based on what things are now to have a real chance and they're not that that far away from that now the question will be a year from now if the protect college sports passes all this stuff's blown out of the water the alone the revs share will be double what it is now and a lot of schools will
