Ep. 109: Whitney Milhoan on Casting for Recovery

About this episode

Whitney Milhoan is the executive director of Casting for Recovery, a non-profit organization that provides healing outdoor retreats for women with breast cancer. Casting for Recovery started in 1996 with a focus on improving quality of life for female cancer patients. The foundation receives nationwide support from medical and psychosocial experts, and it’s not hard to see why. The retreats are free to women of all ages in all stages of treatment and recovery, letting them build a support network while they heal from surgery and emotional pain. In this episode of Anchored, I meet with Whitney to discuss why fly fishing is beneficial for women with breast cancer and to learn more about how people can get involved. I’ll post a donation link in the podcast description with the hope that we can help Casting for Recovery reach more women with your support. Learn more about your ad choices.
