Eno River Festival Shifts Dates Due to Weather Risks

Now, the ENO River Association is shifting the event away from its traditional July 4th slot, due to growing risks from extreme weather. Tropical storm Chantau hit the Carolina's last July, causing severe flooding on the ENO River, which crested it over 25 feet, the highest on. That led to 80 rescues by boat in Durham County and 50 more in nearby Chapel Hill. The heat adds another big concern, which July temperature is often feeling like a hundred degrees or higher.
