For the past 30 years, I've changed my phone message EVERY SINGLE DAY! It's a daily activity, as automatic as brushing my teeth. I actually do 2 unique messages daily: one on my cell phone and one on my landline. The time has come to share them. (Perhaps the time has come to get rid of my landline? 🙂

All the spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down, the medicine go down. Hi, it's Monday, April 27th. On this date in 1942, sugar became the first household staple to be rationed as part of the U.S. war effort. The government issues these books, these rationed books, with pull-out stamps that allowed every American, including children, to buy 26 pounds of sugar per year, 26 pounds of sugar per year. That's more than two pounds of sugar a month. Well, that is approximately the amount of sugar I have when I have one of my hot oat milk mocha with coconut syrup, no whip. The bigger takeaway might be is that we shouldn't take for granted all the privileges we have.

And these are privileges, right? They're not rights. We have more privileges than we have rights. People say, well, it's my right, no, it's your privilege. So enjoy these privileges, enjoy your next hot oat milk mocha with coconut syrup, no whip. Sugar. Mmm. Mmm. Mmm. Ah, honey, honey. Mmm. Mmm. Mmm. Mmm.
