We made it through another week. It's Friday, when we are joined by Marcy Wheeler of emptywheel.net to discuss some of the important news from the week. Due to scheduling issues, we recorded this episode on Thursday. As things tend to happen at warp speed in Dumpland, there's an update in at least one of the stories we covered. On Wednesday evening, a court we previously knew virtually nothing about -- the US Court of International Trade - ruled that Trump does not have the authority to impose sweeping tariffs, and issued a permanent injunction against most of the tariffs he unilaterally tried to levy. On Thursday morning, the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals issued a temporary stay, allowing the tariffs to continue for the next week or so while on appeal.
