0:00Today, we're looking at the most powerful tool in any manager's kit. The simple act of saying thank you. Welcome to the National Day Spotlight for March 6th. Employee Appreciation Day was created in 1995 to remind leaders that a company's greatest asset isn't its product, but its people. In the past, recognition often took the form of the Service Award, like a gold wise or twenty-year pin, to reward long-time loyalty. Today's appreciation has shifted toward more personal and frequent gestures, science shows that regular recognition triggers the reward center of the brain, boosting morale and productivity far more effectively than a one-year ceremony. Whether it's a flexible schedule, a shout-out in a meeting, or a handwritten note, the goal is to make every person feel seen and valued. An employee appreciation day takes the time to recognize the hard work and dedication of those around you, because a little gratitude goes a long way towards building a great team. And we have a great team here.
1:01We do. So thank you all of you, but Chris, I'm kind of curious, as I say thank you, would you prefer me to say thank you or get you the gold watch? I bet you'd go for the gold watch. I don't know. Nobody wears a regular watch anymore. I think Chris would wear a gold watch, though. You're also celebrating National Frozen Food Day and National White Chocolate Cheesecake Day. I'm Alice Anderson. And I'm Marlowe Anderson with National Day Calendar reminding you to celebrate every day.
