Hello there! Are you all snuggled in and ready for a wonderful Christmas story?
0:05
It's all about a very special elf named Buddy.
0:08
You do? Oh, I'm so glad.
0:10
Okay, let's begin our magical story.
0:14
One very snowy Christmas night when everyone was fast asleep.
0:19
Santa Claus was visiting a cozy warm house.
0:22
And then, something surprising happened.
0:27
Shhh, he crawled right out of his bed
0:30
and wiggled his way right into Santa's giant soft red toy sack.
0:35
Can you believe it? What a little surprise!
0:38
Well, Santa had no idea he had a little passenger.
0:43
Not until he flew all the way back to his home at the North Pole.
0:48
He gave the baby a new home, right there with him.
0:52
The North Pole is the most magical, sparkly place you've ever seen.
0:58
Santa named the baby Buddy and he was raised by all the friendly elves.
1:04
Now, living at the North Pole means you have to know the code of the elves.
1:08
It's very important. There are three happy rules.
1:12
Rule number one, you have to love Christmas.
1:15
Rule number two, be kind to everybody.
1:18
And rule number three, sing happy songs.
1:21
And you know what? Buddy was great at all of them.
1:24
So one day, Santa sat down with Buddy and told him something really, really big.
1:29
He said, Buddy, you're real daddy.
1:32
He's a human and he lives in a city that's very, very far from here.
1:37
Oh my goodness, Buddy's eyes got so big.
1:39
He was so surprised.
1:41
Can you make a surprise face just like Buddy?
1:43
Wow, just like that.
1:45
So, what do you think Buddy did?
1:48
He decided to go on a great big adventure to find his dad.
1:51
It was time for Buddy's big trip.
1:53
He put on his elf hat and set off to a huge, busy place called New York City.
1:58
His trip started in the chilly, chilly ocean and look who he met, a friendly Narwhal.
2:05
The Narwhal waved his tail and said, Bye-bye Buddy, good luck.
2:09
Can you wave by by to the Narwhal?
2:11
Next, Buddy walked through a forest, but it wasn't a regular forest.
2:15
The trees were giant, swirly, whirly candy canes.
2:19
Everything must have smelled so yummy and sweet, just like peppermint.
2:24
And then hop, hop, hop, he hopped across the field of big, squishy gumdrops.
2:28
Red ones, green ones, yellow ones, so colorful.
2:32
It must have been like jumping on a big chewy trampoline.
2:36
And his last stop before the city was a great big tunnel.
2:40
It was a little dark and so noisy.
2:44
All the cars were going room, room, and the buses went beep, beep, so loud.
2:50
And after all that walking and hopping and hearing all those noises,
2:53
he was there, Buddy was in New York City.
2:58
The buildings were so tall they touched the clouds and there were bright lights everywhere.
3:02
It was a whole new kind of magic.
3:05
Buddy had the best time exploring the big city.
3:08
He met lots of new people and made friends right away.
3:11
And look, he found one of those spinning doors.
3:14
He went round and round and round in the worldly twirly door.
3:19
That looks like so much fun.
3:21
You know, Buddy thought one of the big stores needed a little more Christmas spirit.
3:27
He worked all night long.
3:29
He cut out pretty paper snowflakes.
3:31
He hung up shiny, sparkly ribbons, and he put up so many twinkly, blinky lights.
3:35
He made the whole store look magical, just for Santa.
3:39
While he was there, Buddy made a very special friend named Jovi.
3:43
And Jovi showed him something amazing, the biggest Christmas tree in the whole city.
3:49
It was covered in lights that twinkled like little stars.
3:52
It was so, so beautiful.
3:55
But on Christmas Eve, something went wrong.
4:00
Oh no, it was a really big problem.
4:03
And it had to do with Santa's sleigh.
4:06
Santa's sleigh fell right out of the sky and landed in a big park.
4:11
And it couldn't fly anymore.
4:12
You see, Santa's sleigh needs something special to fly.
4:16
It needs Christmas cheer.
4:18
That's all the happy, joyful feelings people have at Christmas.
4:22
But there just wasn't enough cheer to make the sleigh mow.
4:25
Oh my, everyone was getting so worried.
4:28
How would Santa deliver all the presents?
4:30
But wait, Buddy's new friend, Jovi.
4:33
She remembered something.
4:35
She remembered something really important, Buddy told her.
4:37
I think, I think she has an idea.
4:40
Jovi remembered the code of the elves, and she knew exactly which rule would help.
4:45
She said it nice and loud for everyone.
4:47
The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.
4:54
Of course, it was time for everyone to sing and save Christmas.
4:58
So Jovi started to sing a pretty Christmas Carol.
5:00
And then another person started singing and another.
5:04
Soon, everyone was singing together.
5:06
Even Buddy's dad joined in.
5:07
And listen, as they sang, the sleigh started to shake and wiggle.
5:11
The magic was starting to work.
5:13
All that beautiful singing made so much Christmas cheer.
5:19
Santa's sleigh lifted up, up and flew right into the night sky.
5:25
Everybody saved Christmas!
5:28
And all because of Buddy and his big, happy heart,
5:31
everyone had the most wonderful Merry Christmas ever.
5:35
Thanks for listening to our story.
5:36
Merry Christmas, little one.
