Like the old Paris Church, and even snagged the police station on the high street for public use, trainings in full swing at the Royal Commonwealth pool over winter, plus cold dips in Portobello waters to toughen up for the channel's chill. They'll each swim one hour stints from a support boat, tackling tricky tides with the whole crossing, eyeing 14-16 hours when team, Captain Andrew launches it in July.
