Eagles Work to Re-sign Jaelan Phillips Before Free Agency

There's growing optimism that they can strike a deal soon and keep him on the roster. The team traded a 2026 third-round pick to acquire him earlier this season. In just eight games with Philly, Phillips posted 28 tackles and two sacks. A first-round pick in 2021, he has built a strong career track record. There's 63 games, that's 2 out of 5 tackles, 28 sacks, 68 quarterback hits, plus an interception and other key plays. Injuries have slowed him down lately though. He set out 9 games in 2023 and 13 in 2024. Phillips is one of 18 free agents for the Eagles and he would draw big interest on the open market if no deal gets done.
