Eagles Trade Brown to Falcons, Revamp Safety Position

The Philadelphia Eagles traded safety Sydney Brown to the Atlanta Falcons on Friday and a swab of late-round draft picks. The Falcons sent their number 114 and number 197 picks to the Eagles in exchange for the number 122 and number 2. 15 picks giving Philadelphia a slight upgrade in position. Brown, a third-round pick from Illinois in 2023, adds depth to Atlanta's secondary, which already features Pro Bowl veteran Jesse. Bates the third and second-year standout, Xavier Watts. They now have four safeties locked in for 2026, including second-rounder Drew McCuba as the top option, with flexibility to shift other, players over or hut more in free agency and the draft. Both teams are tweaking their defenses for next season, with the Falcons gaining solid backup pieces and the Eagles prioritizing upgrades around there, star corners to push their already strong past defense even higher.
