The Eagles have signed wide receiver Elijah Moore. This move came after I recorded the daily pod for today. Actually, the Fred Johnson move came after I recorded the daily pod as well. Your boy got into the pod, did some editing, moved some stuff around. And then after they signed Elijah Moore, I thought, you know what? Let's just start the day off talking about Elijah Moore. So we're going to talk about Elijah Moore, then we'll get into the podcast.

5:06The Eagles signing another wide receiver. Certainly interesting. They've now signed Hollywood Brown. They have signed Elijah Moore. And they tried to sign Darnell Moon. You know, they wouldn't have signed all three. But what's obvious is they've been very active in the wide receiver market. In the, you know, veteran wide receiver market. These are not 10-year veterans, but they've both been in the NFL. Hollywood Brown and Elijah Moore. Elijah's been in the NFL for five years. Hollywood, I think, is seven or eight years. So these are some more proven players. Players who want to play, players who have played in players. So I think are coming to the Eagles, expecting to play. So let's talk about Elijah Moore for those that might not know a lot about him. Elijah Moore was a second round pick in the 2021 NFL draft. And he wasn't just a second round pick. He was a 34th overall pick. So he was an early pick in the second round. Definitely checks the draft pedigree box that we know how he roseman really likes. So the 34th overall pick in 2021. He's played in 70 NFL games, 209 catches, just over 2200 yards and nine touchdowns.

6:09Under size, it only 510, 178 pounds turns 26 in two days, I think. So he's still on the young side. This will help their offense not be one of the oldest in the NFL. Despite the fact he's only 510, he's played about 50-50 between the outside and in the slot with over a thousand snaps at each one. So he's well experienced in both. He can play both. And again, the fact he's only 510 and he's able to do that is impressive. He's had a somewhat high volume of targets in his career. He had like 60 targets his first year, 70 something his second year, and then 100 plus targets, two straight years in a row with Cleveland. I believe that actually he would have competed against them in a joint practice during his time with Cleveland. No, worthy. They got a chance to see him up close in Cleveland. But last year he was with Buffalo, didn't really play, got cut, ended up on the Denver practice squad late in the season, but definitely the worst year of his career didn't play.

7:11Prior to that, though, high volume target guy, again, averaging, you know, off top of my head, probably like 85 targets a year or something like that over the first four years of his career. So he's used to playing, he's used to being out on the field. You would think he'd be a deep threat. He ran a 434 coming out of college, hasn't really turned into a deep threat in the NFL. Never average more than 12 and a half yards per carry, doesn't have a ton of deep threat up plays down the field. Now in New York and Cleveland, he had bad quarterback played a lean on in Buffalo. That wasn't the case. He had Josh Allen. So weird that he didn't play a ton in Buffalo. But this is now the second like quote unquote speedy receiver that Eagles have added. The second kind of undersized guy they have added and you know, you wonder, we'll see what the money is like if he's guaranteed a roster spot, I would think he has a pretty good chance at one. I mean, they gave Jonathan Jones $2 million. They gave Grant Calcutta a 750,000. I would think Elijah Moore would get more than them. So the fact he's coming here, I think he's probably expecting to have a real chance to

8:15be on the field. So you look at the Eagles wide receiver depth chart and we get into this and the podcast, but obviously now that now that they've made a bit of a change, it's kind of different. But you look at it and they have Devonte, Hollywood Brown, Darius Cooper, Johnny Wilson, Britain, Covey as like the main five, I would say, we'll get to AJ Brown in a second. You add Elijah Moore to that and that's six like Elijah Moore's not really played special teams in his career. He only has three kick returns in his career. So he's not going to be a part returner. So Britain, Covey kind of not included in that. But if they keep AJ Brown, then it's going to be hard for Elijah Moore to get on the field because it'll be AJ Brown, Devonte Smith, Hollywood Brown, I think is the pretty clear cut top three they gave Hollywood Brown $5 million. And then after that, they're not going to play a ton of three wide, they're not going to play a ton of four wide receiver sets. They're going to play a lot of two tight end sets. They might even play a ton of three wide receiver sets. So if you're going to be the fourth receiver, the fifth receiver, you're not going to

9:16be on the field much. So this is not good news for Darius Cooper. It's not good news for Johnny Wilson. And so what does this mean for AJ Brown? Now Elijah Moore, there's an interesting aspect to the AJ Brown part of this because him and Elijah Moore, by all accounts, are super, super close. Like AJ, I believe, cried when Elijah Moore got drafted. He was so excited for him. AJ has talked in some articles about how he and Elijah Moore talk about mental health. And in article in the athletic last year, by Brooks, shout out Brooks, I believe Elijah Moore was in it and talked about how AJ doesn't consider a lot of people close friends. And it seems like Elijah Moore crosses that line to being one of AJ's close friends. So there's a couple ways to look at this. The first is, I'll be monitoring AJ's social media to see if he welcomes Elijah Moore to the Eagles and how he phrases it. If he says something like, can't wait to play with you. I'm so excited. My guy is here. Welcome to Philadelphia. That'll be interesting. If he doesn't say anything about it at all, that'll be interesting.

10:16I would think him and Elijah talked prior to this. I don't know. I'm guessing. And so Elijah Moore could have came here with two ideas. One is, he gets to play with AJ and he doesn't think AJ is going to be traded. If he doesn't think AJ is going to be traded, then I don't think AJ thinks he's going to be traded. But I do think AJ is going to be traded. And I do think AJ expects to be traded. So Elijah is probably coming here thinking AJ is not going to be here. So there's snaps to be one. I also think it's no worthy that Elijah was willing to come to Philadelphia. Now we don't know what other offers he had. We don't know what other situations he had, but he's close with AJ. So if the Eagles were interested, you would think, just guessing, but you would think him and AJ would talk. So whatever reviews he got must have been somewhat positive. So yeah, the AJ Brown of this all is interesting. I still think AJ is going to be traded. I still think he will not be on the team. I think AJ expects not be on the team. I think this is another move that indicates they're expecting not to have AJ on the team.

11:17But the relationship between him and Elijah Moore is definitely very interesting. So I think Elijah walks into this situation as the third wide receiver, a headed Darius Cooper behind Hollywood Brown. We'll see if they draft somebody and then obviously AJ Brown is an interesting part of this. So the Eagles still making moves, still adding receivers, still making recording a pod that goes up before him, somewhat complicated. But I'm trying my best to give you guys the latest news for you to wake up because hopefully you're not scrolling Twitter 24 7 like I am. Maybe even found out about the signing from the pod. That would make me happy considering I am in the basement recording this late at night. So anyway, on with the pod, when did you get that breaking news out? Finally in the pod, I talk about the receiver position. You can pretty much just click fast forward for that part because I just gave you my break down a bit. What's going on everybody and good morning today is Wednesday March 25th and this is your daily go birds morning up to giving you all the Eagles news you need to know as well as what to keep an eye out for today. Hope you all had a great Tuesday and if you want to know how ready I am for full fall season because I do think it's going to be an unbelievably exciting Eagles year. We'll see how good they are. Me and James talked about it on the pod on Tuesday, which you should go check out is in the feed. But overall, I think it's going to be an exciting year seeing the changes, the new players, the scheme, all that. I recorded the intro to this, the like what's going on everybody and I said October twice. Two times in a row. This time I was like I wonder why I said October 25th, then I did it again. So my mind is already in football mode and part of that could be because on today's pod, we're going to do something normally I don't do it until training camp, but I couldn't help myself. I'm too excited thinking about the roster. We're going to break down the roster and talk about who is a lock to make the team, who is on the bubble and who is a long shot.

13:19This is normally something I do in training camp once they have the full 90 man roster, but they don't have 90 players yet. Obviously they still have the draft, they'll sign UDFA's and they'll sign other free agents. But today we're going to go through every player currently under contract with the team and I'm going to say if I think they are a lock to make it a bubble or if they are a long shot and it will be fun. So we'll see how many open roster spots there are and there's more than normal. Obviously, I already know the number, but normally I feel like it's around 15 or so and this number will change after the draft because clearly they're going to keep their first, second, third, fourth and maybe fifth round pick will be locks. So before we do that, though, let's talk about a little bit of news from the day on Tuesday as offensive tackle who has been with the team the past two years, I think it's been two years, maybe three years. Fred Johnson is back. The team signed him to a one-year deal on Tuesday night finances of the deal or the financial of the money, not yet known yet, but good signing, I think for the Eagles. Fred Johnson, I think, brings quite a bit as a backup offensive tackle. First of all, he's been with the team. So he knows the guards he's going to be playing next to. He's been with Cam Jergens. He knows my Lada.

17:23He knows he knows Landon. He knows the coaching staff to a degree now, obviously, a lot of new coaches, but Nick Ciriani is there. So I think there's a familiarity. Jalen Hertz, he knows about blocking for Jalen Hertz, what Jalen likes, what he doesn't like, what Jalen does that he needs to know as an offensive tackle. So I think the familiarity there really does help. And then in addition to that, he's just, you know, he's dependable. There's not really a thing as an elite backup offensive tackle. Every offensive tackle that's not starting is just not that good. So Fred Johnson, I don't think he's somebody you want starting 17 games. For you, but I do think coming in for five six games, he's shown that that he can be good. And I think he was better in 2025 than he was in 2024. And the stats back that up, if you look in 2024, look, they won the Super Bowl. He helped them do that. So I think ultimately, you know, good year. But in 2024, he allowed 25 pressures in eight sacks and 240 pass blocking snaps. In 2025, he allowed 17 pressures.

18:24So eight fewer pressures in two sacks, six fewer sacks in 386 snaps. So over 140 more snaps, he allowed significantly fewer pressures. So remember in 2024, he went up against some really good ed rushers last year, not so much. But he played well going in for them last year. They had to pass it more. They weren't as dominant of a running team. So I think a positive for him for the team is that you know what you're getting when he gets in there. Now the impact to the roster. This is bad news for Miles Hinton and Cam Williams. I would say the Eagles are going to try to draft a thinking offensive lineman early in the draft. They have lane. They have my Lada. Now Fred Johnson. Again, don't know the finances. But I would think there's a pretty good chance that he will be, you know, pretty close to a lock. I'll put him down as a bubble for now. But he's going to have every chance to make this roster. So if they go lane my Lada, Fred Johnson and let's say an offensive tackle in the first three rounds, who that would make you a lock. Really the fourth round would too. That's four right there. So if you're Miles Hinton, if you're Cam Williams, this is bad news because it's going

19:27to be hard for you to make the roster now. Maybe there's an injury in camp or maybe you're outstanding and they keep five. I mean, I think it's, you know, impossible. I guess with Lane's future after the season up in the air. But I think good for the team that Fred Johnson's back, bad for Miles Hinton and Cam Williams. But that wasn't the only Eagles news on Tuesday as the Andy Dalton trade became official, during the pod with me and James. I literally said to James, kind of interesting. They haven't made the trade official and Lewis, the sitting in for Tucky this week, said they actually just did it. So that was good timing by me. But the Andy Dalton trade becomes official. The trade is for a 2027, a 2027 seventh round pick. So they don't give up much. I feel like initially it was maybe reported that they were exchanging seventh round picks. But regardless, they end up sending a seventh round pick. To the Panthers in exchange for Andy Dalton. We've talked about Andy Dalton a ton, not a fan of the trade.

20:28Two million of the four million is guaranteed. So decent amount of money guaranteed. I don't think that's enough where they would cut him. 39 years old is going to turn 40 this upcoming season. So yeah, I don't like the trade, but we will see. We'll have time to watch him practice, play and all that and maybe he'll surprise. But the Andy Dalton trade becomes official. So now they have Hertz, Tanner McKee, and Andy Dalton on the roster at the quarterback position. I still think there's a chance they could draft a quarterback. But I don't think there's a world where they keep four quarterbacks on the roster. So if they draft a quarterback high enough like third, fourth round, then either Dalton or McKee is going to go. Because they're not going to cut a third or fourth round pick. And at that point, they would have to move somebody. So Andy Dalton officially on the team for better or worse, he is on the team. In other news, because of course, there's always AJ news. Adam Schefter was on. I believe it was the Pat McAfee show and said that despite some like speculation that maybe the Eagles and the Patriots have a handshake agreement in place

21:31and they're going to execute the AJ trade after June 1st, where it's a little easier on the Eagles cap, he says that's not true. There's no handshake agreement. Now, I don't think he would ever say it is true, right? Because the league would not be happy if there was a handshake agreement in place for AJ. They don't want to set that precedent. But yeah, so no handshake agreement in place for AJ. Again, seems to be more talk about his knees and concerned about that. We talked on the daily pod on Tuesday about how pro football focus said. This was the only season in AJ's career where he didn't reach 20 miles per hour on any single play. So that's not great from a tracking perspective. And it does seem like I know that sometimes people, I've seen a lot of this on Twitter where they're just putting this out there about the knees to lower the asking price. I don't think that's true. I think that's why they're not getting great offers or at least offers that they have found good enough for AJ. I think there's a legitimate concern about giving up a first or second round pick where you're talking about a 23 year old that could, you know, is entering his physical prime is just starting in the league,

22:35as opposed to trading a high level asset for a player that who knows how many more years he can be elite has played a lot of football and has had leg problems. So yeah, Adam Schefter, no handshake agreement in place. And I think we're seeing why it's a potentially more complicated trade than everyone made it out to be initially. And if you listen to this pod, I've said for months that I think the reason the Eagles will trade AJ brown is because of the concern about his knees, not that he's not a great player. I think they're mostly okay with who he is in the building. They like AJ. Is he perfect? No, he still has a social media thing. He'll go quiet on the media. But ultimately, I think the reason they will trade AJ is because they think physically he is not the player he used to be. So that's their assessment. At least I think that's their assessment. And it seems like that might be the assessment around the league. So we'll find out. I think AJ is going to be traded, which you'll find out when we do this roster breakdown. But another day, another saga, another chapter in the AJ brown saga.

23:39All right, let's get into one of my favorite exercises that I do really all year. Like I love training camp stats. I love previewing games. I love post game pre. I love all that. But what I love deep down is breaking down the roster and saying who I think is going to make it, who I think isn't and who is fighting for it. So let's get going with that. And let's start on the offensive side of the ball. Let's start at quarterback. So as I said, Andy Dalton now officially part of the team officially acquired. So the Eagles have three quarterbacks on the roster. They have Jalen Hertz, Tanner McKee, and Andy Dalton. So let's start with not a shocking one. Jalen Hertz, good to make the team, lock to make the team. I do think like we talked about on the pod. There was a point of the off of the season last year. I thought they could explore trading Jalen. If you really wanted to contract, they didn't want to give it to him. But that time has passed. They're not going to be trading Jalen Hertz. I would be floored and shocked if they traded Jalen Hertz. So I have him as a lock to make the team. I have Tanner McKee and Andy Dalton both on the bubble.

24:41Tanner McKee, to me, is a trade candidate. We know from Rich Semini of ESPN that the Eagles are asking for a second round pick for Tanner McKee. I think they know this is the time to trade him. But I don't think it's a lock that he's going to get traded. I think there's still a chance he'll be on the team. So they're not going to cut Tanner. He would have to have a horrendous trading camp to even get take. I don't think they would cut him then. But maybe they would make him the third string quarterback if Andy Dalton's unreal. And Tanner McKee is not. But I don't anticipate that happening. I think if Tanner's back, he'll remain the number two quarterback. And if a team wants to, if a team wants to offer up a good pick for him, I think he goes to trade him. I think if Andy Dalton looks good and they draft a quarterback, that price tag could drop because it's their last year to trade Tanner. But I have both trainer, uh, trainer. I have both Tanner and Andy Dalton on the on the roster bubble. And Dalton just because, look, he's got enough guarantee money where they might not cut him. But I could also picture a world where they get to the end to trade and camp.

25:41They know they're not going to trade Tanner. And let's say they draft a quarterback. And they, you know, trade Andy Dalton to another team. And he ends up being the back up there. So among the quarterbacks, I only have, Jalen Hertz as a lock. Tanner McKee and Andy Dalton on the bubble. All right. They're running back position. So obviously, Seiko and Barkley lock to make the team. Safe to say, tank Bigsby. I have as a lock to make the team. I think he will be the number two running back. I think they're going to use him more this year. They invested, you know, somewhat decent draft capital in him last year. Trading that fifth round pick for him. And I think tank Bigsby will make the team. And I'm excited to watch him in training camp. Now that he's been with the team for a while, he'll have a, excuse me, his first full training camp with the team. And I think he'll look good. Now, Shipley is an interesting question. I almost put Shipley on the bubble. Cause I could picture a world where a running back out plays him in training camp. And they trade him. I don't think they would cut him. I wouldn't completely rule out them cutting him.

26:42Because I think that they ultimately, like he doesn't make enough money. And if Damian Pierce out plays him, then I think, you know, they would be open to it. But I still think there's a really, really good chance he's on the roster. And I think we would be shocked if Shipley was cut ultimately. So I've Barkley, Bigsby and Shipley as locks. And as a result, I have Pierce as a long shot. I just think he's going to have to really work to outplay Shipley. Maybe they view him as a kick returner. Maybe, you know, he's the first team kick returner. And he moves to on the bubble. But for now, not a lot of guaranteed money. Hasn't been a productive NFL player for a few years. And has three guys, not really three, but has two guys he needs to overtake to be on the field. And so he's not going to play special teams, but she could. But if he's not, then he's definitely not going to make the team. So I have Damon Pierce as a long shot. And then the fullback, you know, as funny I was on the morning show Tuesday and Richie, fullback by, you know, his heart. It always will be a fullback. I was asking about Ben Van Sumerant, not with the team anymore.

27:43But this year's attempt at signing a fullback Carson Steele signed from the Kansas City Chiefs. I have been on the, him on the bubble. Because I do think they have legitimate interests in using a fullback. You've seen Kyle Shanahan do it. We know they're going to run some elements of what Kyle Shanahan does. So I think they want Steele to win the job. So I have him on the bubble. And I think it's a better chance of making the team than Pierce does. All right, receivers. So so far where it four locks on offense, the locks on offense at receiver for me. Devonte Smith, Hollywood Brown, Darius Cooper. I think all three will make the team. Hollywood Brown got five million guaranteed. He's going to make it. Darius Cooper, they like, they like as a person, they like as a hard worker. Is it possible he regresses in year two? Maybe, I mean, you know, it's tough in year two. Now he has the advantage of already playing a year. But Darius Cooper, I have his a lock to make the team. So that's three locks at receiver. Then Johnny Wilson and Britton Covey, I have on the bubble. Britton Covey seems like every year gets cut and brought back and then put on the practice squad

28:44for a few weeks and then signed. I think there'll be a little more hesitant to let him go after, you know, losing him last year. He was on a different roster. And they were lucky enough to get him back and they ended up needing him as a punt returner. So he might be on my 53 minute roster if I were to do it right now. But he's definitely a cut put on practice squad candidate as well, which could complicate thanks for him. But I definitely think he has a chance to make the roster and who knows, maybe in this new offense, different kind of routes. Maybe as a receiver, he can, you know, get on the field in some capacity. Johnny Wilson is going to be an interesting one to cover and follow in training camp. Johnny Wilson, of course, suffered a season ending knee injury last year. And you hope that he's back to 100%. Now, a tough thing with him is he already was not super fast. And when you lose a step, when you're like, Nikobe, Nikobe was able to recover from his patellar tendon injury because he's such a smart football player. And so while he was already slow, he still had the instincts to, to, you know, make plays, right? Johnny Wilson, it's a little tougher at receiver because you're, you're not reacting to people

29:46like you're the one that has to make people miss. And he wasn't very elusive to begin with. He, you know, was used in a blocking role. They missed, I think, his blocking from a receiver position last year. They got bad blocking from the receivers. He was used in red zone. Maybe he's, you know, that happens. Honestly, I wouldn't like completely hate taking, having him take reps at tight end and see if that's where his new position is in the NFL. But I have him on the bubble. I think he could make the team, but I think he's closer to a long shot than a lock in my opinion. All right, the three receivers that are almost definitely not going to make the team unless something goes terribly wrong. But props them for being on a, on an NFL roster and it'll be fun to watch him in camp. Quest Watkins, Danny, Danny Gray. And I got AJ Brown here. Like, I think it's a long shot. AJ will be on the team. I do not think he will be on the team. So for me to put him as a locker, a bubble is not accurate. I think it's a long shot that AJ will be in with the team in training camp. So I have him as a long shot.

30:48It just seems like they've gone too far down the road. I think they've probably mutually decided, like it's time for us all to move on. And I think AJ will be traded. So Quest Watkins and Danny Gray, Quest with the team last year, Danny Gray as well. I just think they're really good practice squad players. I think that they could potentially on a team that's not trying to win the Super Bowl, develop into players that play like during the week and on Sundays. But it's going to be a problem if Quest Watkins or Danny Gray makes the team and is contributing. So you look at the receiver position, Devonte, Hollywood Brown, Darius Cooper. They're going to have to hope some guys step up, acquire guys, draft some guys because you can't go into the season with Devonte, Hollywood, Darius Cooper, Johnny Wilson. Like that's like 2021 levels of receivers. And this team is used to having higher caliber receivers at this point. All right, the tight end position. So Goddard unlocked to make the team. He'll be there. He got the money. He'll be tight end one. After that, I have five guys on the bubble. Because I think things are wide open at tight end.

31:49Calcutta, Johnny Munt, Cameron Latu, Stone Smart, and E.J. Jenkins. Have them all on the bubble. I think that there's a lot of competition there to be had. Calcutta and Munt both got around 700,000 guaranteed to put that in perspective. Like Hollywood Brown got five million, right? So Hollywood Brown's making the team. Calcutta and Munt got enough to try out for the team. And I think they want them to make the team. And I think they're planning on the making the team. But I think they could lose a roster spot. And I think Cameron Latu and Stone Smart are capable of winning roster spots. They're both ultra athletic. They're both good receiving tight ends. We know Latu is a good blocker. He can play that fullback kind of position. So if Stone Smart is a better receiver than Calcutta and Camp, they'll keep Stone Smart, right? And Cameron Latu is younger, cheaper than Johnny Munt. Now, they're not going to want to cut 1.5 million dollars of tight end in Calcutta and Munt. But you could trade him. I think there'd be a market for that. So you don't completely lose out. You don't have to pay them the money in their salary that you guaranteed. So EJ Jenkins in a tough spot here.

32:51EJ I think has potential to be an NFL receiving tight end. Feels like it's never really come together for him. But he has gotten in games. He has a touchdown. I like EJ Jenkins. I think he's a player. But it's going to be a tough uphill battle for him. Because you don't have to beat out Calcutta or Munt Latu and Smart. And that's a lot that has to go right for EJ Jenkins. And then finally, Jahim Bell, a long shot to make the team, in my opinion. You never know. Maybe I think he's the one that's competing for like a practice squad spot. Maybe he gets on the practice squad in a few weeks into the season. If things go wrong for the tight end position, maybe Bell gets promoted for a week. Maybe if he's really good on special teams. But at this point, I think a long shot to make the team. So seven locks on the offense so far. All right, let's talk about the offensive line. Camger, I'm going to do the guards and center first. Cam Jergens, Landon Dickerson, Tyler Steen, Drew Kendall locks to make the team. They won't be cutting them. They won't be trading them like one percent chance. They trade Tyler Steen. If they draft someone really high.

33:52But I think even then, they would want Steen as a backup. Finally, year of his contract. He's just valuable as a good backup offensive lineman. I think you'd really have to blow the Eagles away with an offer to acquire Tyler Steen. Or you know, again, offer like a starting level player at another position. So Cam, Landon, Steen, Drew Kendall, and Kendall, I think will be the top backup at center this year and potentially both guard spots. So he'll be a key part of the offensive line on the bubble. Willie Lampkin, I'm excited to see this dude in camp. Like talk about a unique body type for that position. He's like my height. Although he has like a hundred more pounds of muscle than I do, which is kind of important when you talk about playing in the NFL. Could he win the backup center job and then Drew Kendall becomes a top backup at both guard spots? I could see that. And could, you know, he's worth holding on to and developing because Cam Jurgens is coming off a year where he didn't play well. And although he made the proble, didn't play well. And physically I think is, you know, breaking down a little bit. So Willie Lampkin could compete for that spot.

34:54And I'm excited to watch him in camp. So I have him on the bubble and then practice squad competition where he's just really trying to make the team in a practice squad. Jake Majors was with the team last year on practice squad. I would say, you know, it helps him that he was here last year, but it's a new offensive line coach. And maybe he'll be looking for different things. So Jake Majors, a long shot to make the team. And now let's talk about the offensive tackles as we just talked about with the Fred Johnson signing. Obviously, he switches things up a little bit. Clearly, two players that are a lot to make the team. Lane Johnson and Jordan Milada, you know, the Eagles are hoping Lane will go back to the player. He was two years ago. Really, honestly, the player he was last year before he went down. Jordan Milada coming off in a year. I think he himself would tell you was not great, but they will both be on the team. I think third in the pecking order right now. It's clearly Fred Johnson. He goes ahead of Hinton or Miles Hinton and Cam Williams. You know, I think Fred could potentially get cut if he didn't get a lot of guarantee money.

35:54Has an awful camp in Miles Hinton and Cam Williams have just better camps. But I think right now, if you had the 53 man roster, he would be on it. And that puts Miles Hinton and Cam Williams in a tough spot. Maybe they go to long shots. I would still probably put them on the bubbles because I think that they do like them and that they showed potential last year. But they're in a much tougher spot now to make the team. And then Holland Pierce, a big tackle out of Rutgers. You know, I liked him when they signed him as an undrafted free agent. He, I think, was the biggest tackle in the draft. So certainly has a big physical size. I was excited to see him with Jeff Stoutlin. Obviously, that's not happening anymore. As Jeff Stoutlin, you know, won't be around, at least in the offensive lineman role. Maybe he offensive line coach role. Maybe he'll still be around. But Holland Pierce, I think, competing for a either practice squad spot or if he's really good in the preseason games where the Eagles can flip him for a draft pick. And then finally, the last player on the offensive tackle depth chart. John Okujo, I believe is how you pronounce it.

36:57Long shot to make the team won't be making the team but potentially could make the practice squad if he has a really outstanding year. So, or outstanding offseason. So you look at the roster overall on offense. You got Hurts, Barkley, Bigsby, Shipley, Smith, Devonte, Hollywood, Brown, Cooper, Goddard, Jergens, Dickerson, Steen, Kendall, Johnson and Milada as the locks. That's 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, or no. Yeah, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 locks, 14 bubbles, and 8 long shots. But potentially more with Miles Hinton and KM Williams, maybe should be considered long shots at this point. So, that'll do it for the offensive side of the ball. On the other side, we're going to talk about maybe arguably the more important side of the ball this upcoming season, the defensive side of the ball. So that'll be on the other side. Okay, so the offensive side of the ball is done. Time to get to the less important side. No, I'm just kidding. Well, I'm not really. The defense for this team could be more important. I think that next year they're going to need their defense to be a top 10 defense if they're going to compete. I think expecting the offense to be a top five offense, top eight offense might be asking a lot. There's a lot of questions about the offensive line. They're going to spend time learning a new scheme. So I think if the offensive line is playing like the best offensive line in the league, they could be one of the best offenses in the league.

43:09But you combine the uncertainty with that. With the fact that it is almost completely new offensive coaching staff outside of Nick Seriani and a few position coaches, there could be growing pain. So I do think while offense overall, in my opinion, is the more important side of the ball in the NFL, I do think next year the defense is going to be critically important for this team. If they want to compete for a super one, I think they should be in a spot where they are expected to do that. When you have Jalen, when you have Nick Seriani, when you have all these guys, Devante, Sequon, like you should be competing for a super bowl. And I think that, you know, with the, to do that, the defense is going to have to be special. So let's look at the defensive side of the ball. And we'll start at the defensive tackle position. I have three locks on the team. Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, and Moro O'Jomo. I do think Moro O'Jomo is a slate trade candidate. I like the idea potentially of trading him for another stud player. I think Moro O'Jomo at this point is a stud defensive tackle.

44:09In a year, he's going to get paid big money. If you can trade him at the end of training camp for another great player, that be a safety, a receiver potentially, I would be into that. But I think there's no way in the world they cut him. And I think there's a relatively small chance he's traded. So Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, Moro O'Jomo, going to be on the team. The backup tackles are interesting. Ty Robinson, I think, is in the driver's seat for that fourth defensive tackle spot. But didn't have a good rookie year, didn't get out on the field. And I think he could get cut. I think if he comes in and is the exact same player he was last year, I don't think he will be making the team. Gabe, not Gabe Young. Byron Young, I think is a more dependable player than Ty Robinson. But I think Ty Robinson should have higher upside at this point. So if Ty Robinson comes in and looks the same, they could just go with Byron Young as the backup Gabe Hall potentially made the team if I remember correctly out of camp last year. Got hurt, slash cut, went on practice squad.

45:10Never played a big role with the team. But athletically is a big dude. Has the body type you want for like a past rushing defensive tackle. So I think Ty Robinson, Byron Young, and Gabe Hall will compete for a roster spot. And then take one gram is not going to make the team. But I do think there's a world where he makes the practice squad and is able to eventually get on the team. But I think coming in, it's going to be tough for him to do. Now he is like a nose tackle type. He's six, three, 294 pounds. So he's played in the NFL. So maybe he can squeak his way on. If they feel they need a more natural backup to Jordan Davis. But I think it's going to be a long shot for Ty Quinn Graham to make the team. Especially when we don't even have Brandon Graham on this and Brandon Graham could end up taking snaps at defensive tackle. So Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, Moro, Jomo, the locks, Ty Robinson, Byron Young, Gabe Hall, competing and take one gram. I think a long shot to make the team. And it's more of a practice squad option, in my opinion.

46:12Now the edge rushers, really interesting group. I feel like it's interesting a bunch this time on the pod. I'll try to stop repeating myself. But fascinating group. I'll have to look up a theosaurus to get competing words with interesting, but or similar. It's interesting. But Nolan Smith, Jalex Hunt, Arnold Ebbikati, going to make the team. Ebbikati got enough money where he will be on the team. We know Jalex Hunt's going to be on the team. And Nolan Smith barring a shocking trade, I think, will be on the team. So those three will be on the team. After that, they won't even have guys on the bubble. After that, you look at the people that they have. And the only non top three guy that they have on the roster that will be, I guess, competing for a backup spot is, and I can't remember his name, which is why I am trying to find it right now. This is bad podcasting. Jose Ramirez, that's what it is. So Jose Ramirez, I think, a small chance of making the team. In fact, basically no chance of making the team.

47:126 to 252 pounds has played in the NFL. So he has that going for him. But I think a long shot to make the team. So Nolan, Jalex Hunt and Ebbikati will make it. But they need guys in like bodies there just to compete. I think they could go edge heavy in the draft. And if not, they're going to sign some guys. There's no way they're going to go into camp with only four edge rushers. I think they normally have like eight or nine in camp. So they're going to be adding a lot of bodies there. But for now, it's pretty clear cut. Nolan, Jalex, Ebbikati will make the team. Jose Ramirez, a long shot to make the team. Linebacker also clear cut, but in a very different way. In that, I think everyone that's going to make the team at linebacker is probably already on the team. Zach Bond, Jihad Campbell, Jeremiah Trotter, Jr., and Smile Monden. I could picture Smile Monden be good enough where they trade Trotter to a team where he's going to play and give him a chance to get on the field. But those four linebackers, you have to feel great about. We'll see how Jihad can play in a larger role. But Zach Bond and Jihad Campbell's a really good starting duo. In Trotter and Smile Monden, Jr.,

48:13I think could be a good starting duo too. I've Trotter has been extremely impressive in camp when I've got to watch him practice. In Smile Monden, Jr., I think athletically could be a really good linebacker. So they're set at linebacker. Maybe they'll keep a fifth. But if they do, I would be pretty surprised because I think they're pretty set there. So the only other linebacker on the roster that we'll be competing for practice squad spot is Chance Campbell. He was with the team all last year. Seems popular in the locker room. Maybe he sticks on as like a scout team guy and he's able to do that. But the top four guys I think are all locked in and there's not really much gray room there. It's going to be them four and then potentially that they keep practice squad people. All right, corner back. So I think we know we'll start with outside corner and then we'll leave Nickel to itself. But Quinion Mitchell, Tyrick, we're going to make the team. We'll ain't got enough money where he is definitely going to make the team and start and Quinion might be the best corner back in the NFL. So I think he's going to make the team. After that, I have Jonathan Jones on the bubble.

49:14But the fact he got $2 million guaranteed, he's much, much closer to a lock than he is a long shot. So I probably should put him as a lock. I have him as a bubble. $2 million is a lot of money to give a player if you're going to cut him. So I think Jonathan Jones pretty close to a lock. But for now, I'll have him on the bubble. I think they like the idea of him being a backup on the outside and the inside. And I think he probably will make the team. But he's 32, so who knows, maybe he comes to camp. He's not the same physically and they have to figure out what to do. But I think he will be making the team. And right now, I would put him ahead of Keely Ringo and Jacori and Bennett who are also on the roster bubble. Keely Ringo, I think it helped him that Sydney got traded because Keely now is probably the best special teamer besides JT Gray, JT Gray, who we'll talk about when we talk about the safeties. But Keely is an outstanding special team's player. Good locker room guy. I think they are kind of okay with putting him on the field defensively. I don't think they love it. But they probably rather put him on the field right now

50:15than Jacori and Bennett and some of the other options they have. So I have Keely on the bubble where special teams could really help him make it. And who knows, maybe he shows up in training camp, has an awesome offseason. Looks like an improved player. Now, I thought he had an awesome offseason last year and that didn't result in much. He ended up losing the job to Adori Jackson. They traded with Jacori and Bennett, tried to get Darius play. So they certainly seem skeptical about him, but his special team's ability will keep him in the mix and allow him time to grow as a defensive backer, as a corner back, I should say. Jacori and Bennett, big year for him. Like they traded for him, thinking he'd be able to win the starting job. And he never played meaningful snaps for the team. He himself talked about how it was a tough year, getting traded right before camp, suffering an injury, missing time. He'll have a normal offseason this year. He's not, I don't think, gonna get traded. Hopefully he doesn't get hurt. He'll have the full OTAs with the team. He'll have full training camp with the team. And I think you could see what ability he actually has. So I will put him on the bubble,

51:17but I think Keely's ahead of him just because Keely's such a better special teams player. Finally, to reach Castro fields, I have on the bubble, just because I think they're high on him, but he's gonna be a long shot. Like he's gonna, or it's gonna be a really tough uphill battle. I'm just giving him the on the bubble because I know they're really high on him, but beating out Keely and Bennett will not be easy. They have more invested in those players. And then finally, Aubrey Thomas, long shot, practice squad guy, gonna be tough for him to make the active roster, but I think he could potentially make his way onto the practice squad. All right, the nickel. They only got two guys there, really. Now there's guys they could play there. Jonathan Jones could play there. Michael Carter could play there, but Cooper, Dijena, Mac McWilliams, both gonna make the team. Cooper, obviously. And the Mac McWilliams, they like, I think had a good camp last year. They could play him on the outside. They gave him reps there if needed. But I think naturally his position will be, will be a nickel corner. So Cooper, Mac McWilliams, a lock there to make the team.

52:17And then again, like if they needed to, they could put Michael Carter or Jonathan Jones there. So they're not as thin at nickel as it might seem, just looking at or just hearing those two names, but those are the two I think are locked in at playing nickel. All right, finally, or I guess I should say final defensive position, safety. Andrew McCuba, a lock to make the team. I think it could be a disappointing camp from McCuba, but I think he will make the team. Worst case for him is he doesn't win a starting job, sits on the bench all year, and then they cut him. But, or he could be awesome and he could win the job, but he will be on the team. And I think he has a clear, clear, clear cut chance to win the starting job. After that, I have every other safety on the roster as on the bubble because nobody is really separated. And I think that some of the lower down guys they like. Like Marcus Epps, Michael Carter, the second, and JT Gray, I think of the best chance of making the team. Epps, I think is close to a lock. I wouldn't put 100% because if he doesn't have a great camp,

53:19he trade for somebody. Michael Carter looks good at safety. JT Gray can play special teams. They could probably cut Epps. I don't know if Epps is getting claimed if they cut him. Or he might actually not go through waivers, but I don't think another team's offering Marcus Epps a chance to start. So, I think there's a world where they cut him. Michael Carter, everyone's super excited about the idea of him playing safety. He's never actually played it in the NFL, so I'm not super optimistic, or at least not as excited as others. I think going into the year or into the offseason, when McCuba, Epps, Carter, and Gray is your safety. He's his very underwhelming. Gray's never played more than 40 snaps on defense in the NFL, like at defense. I can repeat myself there. But he's a special team's guy. I think he will probably make the team, but he's a special team's guy. So after that, you have Andre Sam and Brandon Johnson. Two guys, Andre Sam has been with the team a bunch of years. I could definitely picture him and him ending up in Dallas. If he gets cut, I think Christian Parker's a big fan of his. And then Brandon Johnson, undrafted rookie out of Oregon.

54:20I think he can play corner as well. But they like him. He showed potential last year in camp. So I think him and Tariq Castro fields are the two names that maybe you don't know that could make the roster. And I think we'd have a chance too. But yeah, McCuba's a lock, but after that, they need to make a move. They need to enter camp with another safety. That's a lock to make the team. Still, overall, 17 locks on defense. Carter, Davis, Ojomo, Nolan Smith, Hunt, Ebike, T, Bond, Campbell, Trotter, Mondin, Mitchell, Woolen, Dejean, McWilliams, and McCuba. Like just more certainty on that side of the ball. And then special teams, we know that Jake Elliott and Brandon Mann are going to make it. But they're still in the market for a long snapper. And they will have to find one because they don't have one on the team currently. And maybe they draft one, maybe they sign one, but they're going to go out and have to have to find one. So overall, what does this mean for the team? Like I said, 17 locks on defense, 15 locks on offense,

55:23which brings you to 32 locks overall, 25 bubble players and 12 long shots. So 32, that's a lot of roster spots up for grabs on this team, which I think speaks a little bit to them being kind of a team in a transition, transitioning the money from the offense to the defense, transitioning the offense into a different scheme and trying to piece together a new edge group.
