Eagles Lock Up Jordan Davis: Highest-Paid Nose Tackle

This deal makes him the highest paid nose tackle in NFL history right after his breakout season. Davis was due to play next year on his 5th year option before hitting free agency. Now secure long-term, he's a cornerstone of the defense under coordinator Vic Fangio. Last season, the 26-year-old stepped into a bigger role after teammate Milton Williams left for New England. He posed a career highs with 72 tackles, 4.5 sacks, 11.5 runstuffs, and 6 batter passes. Drafted 13th overall in 2022 from Georgia, Davis stands 6 foot 6 and weighs 336 pounds. His rare athleticism shown at the combine and is only improved as he slimmed down. With Davis in place, the Eagles turn to extending Jalen Carter, his former Georgia teammate and fellow interior lineman.
