Eagles fall to Commanders, locked into 3-seed | NFC Wild Card Round vs 49ers
About this episode
After falling to the Washington Commanders 24-17 in Week 18 of the NFL Season while resting many of their key starters, the Philadelphia Eagles finish the 2025 regular season 11-6, winning the NFC East for the second straight year. BUT, they will enter the NFC Playoff picture as the 3-seed with the loss, even with the Chicago Bears falling to the Detroit Lions, setting up a potential pathway to the 2-seed. Now, they will welcome Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers to Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday at 4:30pm for the Wild Card Round. Was resting the starters the right move? Or should the Eagles have tried for the 2-seed?
