Eagle Forum Sues Tuscaloosa Library for Religious Discrimination

The suit comes from the Alabama chapter of the Eagle form, which says the library blocked them from using the rotary room for two meetings. This follows an initial event they did hold there. The group wanted to book the space for gatherings in August 2025, but library staff denied them. Officials cited a policy that bans religious or sectarian groups from using the room to preach or promote their beliefs. The Eagle form calls itself a pro-family organization focused on civic engagement, God, and country. They argue the library's rules stomps on their religious freedom and free speech rights under the First Amendment. The lawsuit hit federal court on Tuesday, March 10th. Court papers detail how staff enforce the no preaching policy against the group. Neither side is commented yet, but we're watching for responses from the library and Eagle form as the case moves forward.
