Durham Police in Standoff, Person Barricaded

Around 6 a.m. on Monday, March 2nd, officers responded to reports of a person varicated inside, possibly armed and in crisis. Officers have been using a megaphone to talk to the person, repeating messages every few minutes like, come outside and answer your phone. They made it clear they are not leaving until resolved. No one outside the home faces any danger right now, according to police. Still, the situation has drawn a big response from emergency crews.
