Dunleavy on Kuminga: Talent, Potential, and Moving Forward

He says the team has been too busy with their own matters to tune in yet. Still, Dunn-Levy recognizes Kominga's talent and believes he can succeed if he plays the right way. The trade came after Kominga, reportedly argued with head coach Steve Kerr and requested to leave the team. Kerr responded by pulling him from the regular rotation which limited his playing time significantly. Dunn-Levy reflected positively on Kominga's time with the Warriors. He noted the forward had several strong games and impressive stretches during his career there. Overall, the front office wishes him well moving forward. ESPN analyst Kindred Perkins has criticized Kerr's handling of the situation. Perkins argues that everyone around the league saw Kominga's high potential including stars like Stephen Curry and Dremon Green, but Kerr did not.
