Duke's Maliq Brown Honored for Academic Achievements

0:00On April 21, Duke Senior Malik Brown just landed a spot on the all-ACC Academic Men's basketball team for the 2025-26 season. The Atlantic Coast Conference dropped the news Tuesday out of Charlotte, North Carolina. Brown's balancing hoops and books like a pro. He's hailing from Copepera, Virginia, and majors in African and African American studies. He's one of 18 players honored from 10 different schools across the conference. Duke's sitting on top with 121 all-time academic honorees, more than anybody else. This is their 32nd year in a row, with at least one player making the cut talk about consistency. The ACC tightened the rules this season, now only for undergrads who've put in at least one full year at school, held a 3.0 GPA overall. And in their latest term, ensued it up for half their team's games. Brown's knot shows Duke's still breeding scholar, athletes who dominate on and off the court keep an eye on the blue devils as they build that legacy.
