Duke Clinches ACC Title, Boozer Shines

0:00On March 3, Duke clinched the outright Atlantic Coast Conference regular season title with the convincing 93-64 win over North Carolina State. The top-ranked boo devils improved to 28 wins and two losses overall and 16 wins in one loss in conference play. Freshman forward Cameron Booser, powered the victory, scoring 26 points on 8 of 10 shooting. Booser also grabbed 9 rebounds and sank 9 of 11 free throws, drawing 9 fouls from the Wolfpack. Opponents have made him their top target all season, but he stayed aggressive against their physical defense. The 6-foot-9 powerhouse showed no signs of backing down, even picking up scratches on his shoulder in the second half while attacking inside. He called a proof of the team's fight and toughness. This title adds to Duke's strong resume, including a big win over second place Virginia. Coach John Shire praised the complete team effort after the game.
