About this episode
What's up Wisconsin? A lot of birds, that's for sure. Taylor Fingers, game bird ecologist for Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, joins us this week to talk all things winged (and actually small non-winged mammals too). As summer creeps on, we are fast approaching duck season, with turkey season right behind. To prepare, Wisco DNR is working hard to determine this year's bird populations, and therefore the length of the hunting seasons. And guess what? YOU can help them with that! Throughout this month of August, you can report sightings of game-bird broods to help WI DNR produce the most accurate, full accounting of available birds possible.
Check in on our Weekly Wisco for updates on sweet corn, Ham n' Jam, and the Harley reunion. Stay tuned for our weekly recipe, courtesy of Taylor, with a bonus from Joel!
