Dubois-Laine Trade: A Bust for Both Teams

Patrick Lane and Jack Roslovick, it was a huge swab of young stars each wanting out of their current spots. Fast forward, and Duois is now on his fourth NHL team while Lane is on his third. Lane joined Columbus as a top goal scorer, but battle constant injuries, missing tons of games over three seasons. He managed just 58 goals in about 156 games before the Blue Jackets shipped him to Montreal last year for defenseman Jordan, Harris and a second round pick. His $8.7 million cap hit kept him around longer than expected. Meanwhile, Duois didn't thrive on Winnipeg's top line, posting weak numbers over 195 games with just 55 goals.
