Drowning Prevention with Laura Bricklin, MD and Emma Harding, MD (S3:E67)
About this episode
Drowning is quick and silent.
It is also the single-leading cause of death among children aged 1-4 and is a top cause death among teens. As pediatricians, we offer an important voice to help educate our parents, patients and community about how to keep kids safe in and around the water. Recently two of our pediatric residents, Dr. Laura Bricklin and Dr. Emma Harding, were awarded a CATCH grant for drowning prevention and are joining us today to review important water safety information for bathtubs, pools and open water.
