Meet the guest: Dr. Andrea Etter is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences at the University of Vermont, with a secondary appointment in Animal Sciences. She earned her Ph.D. in Food Safety and Microbiology from Purdue University and specializes in bacterial food safety, focusing on Salmonella, Listeria, and Campylobacter in small-scale and backyard agriculture. Her research aims to bridge food safety gaps and inform public health strategies.
