About this episode
This week, Pastor Ryan began our summer series "Down Home" by looking at what Jesus said before teaching the Lord’s Prayer. In Matthew 6:1–8, Jesus tells us not to do good things just to be seen by others, but to do them with a sincere heart. Pastor Ryan reminded us that being a “down-home Christian” means living out God’s will in real, everyday ways—not for praise, but out of love for God. He encouraged us to focus on simple, honest prayer and to make the Lord’s Prayer part of our daily lives. This message set the stage for a summer of slowing down and drawing closer to God.
