The movie 2012 (released in 2009) is a smörgåsbord of disasters -- solar flares, volcanoes, earthquakes, fires, flaming rocks from the sky -- just about everything but zombies. All of that was what the producers imagined might happen when the Mayan calendar ended in December, 2012. The many scenarios are too over-the-top to be of any practical prepper value, but if the movie is taken as a grand-scale caricature, there are several prepper issues played out.
