And it's another FinnFans podcast. Today I'm here with the Grownies, as usual. Hey guys. What's going on Mike? Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, busy week. I think we're all pretty excited, right?

2:03We got a quarterback. Yeah. I mean, I definitely didn't think that it was going to happen. We talked about it on last week's podcast a little bit. I think Sully threw some smoke and mirrors to make it seem like we weren't going to be too interested in it, but you know, it worked out in our favor. I'm definitely excited. That's a smart man that did that. It's a smart man. Anyway, yeah, I mean, listen, it's a good move. I mean, it's a good risk. It's a great move. I mean, you think about the starting quarterback position, you know, and the amount of money that's being thrown at these guys, okay? People are in an uproar too about this and I don't get it because, you know, for the money that they're paying him, the risk is well worth it. And if it doesn't work out, and the guy has a horrible season, well, guess what? You can draft somebody next year. They may do that anyway.

3:03Well, I think they're, but the difference will be, Mike, if he plays at a bad level, they're not going to win all that many games. So they're going to have much higher draft picks. So, you know, instead of, say, you know, them being around 500, if he goes out and he balls, he plays really, really well. And the team actually surprises to some extent because we've seen that happen before, right? You know, especially, you know, with the quarterback position when Fitzpatrick was brought in. You know, this is a young guy as compared to Fitzpatrick. I mean, he was a staff, you know, a staff, you know, an in-between guy. You know, he was going to be a guy. Fitzpatrick, they brought in a bridge to something else, to Tuwa, basically. This situation here is, this guy's got some years under his belt. He's probably going into his prime. You've seen perfect examples of this type of player, you know, developing into a really solid

4:05starting quarterback, you know, you go around the league. There's a lot of examples of that. You know, what's his name just signed back in Indianapolis two years and got a ton of money, right? John, yeah. How much did he get paid? 44 million. Wow, I didn't even see that he got signed. So that's news to me. Yeah, so how can you complain about a situation like that? I mean, in my opinion, and I mean, this is just my opinion. I'd rather have a guy like Malik Willis than a guy like Daniel Jones at this point. And I'm being serious going forward. I mean, I'd rather have that risk, you know, at that lesser money, the situation we're in, than what the Colts just did with Daniel Jones. I mean, two year, 88 million. Two years, 88 million. And people are bitching about that. Is that guaranteed? My girl, did you say the guaranteed number was? I don't think he did, did he? No, I didn't. I'm looking at it now.

5:05Yeah. If they gave him 88 million guarantee for two years, that's it. 88 million dollar contract. I mean, it worth up to 100 million. Oh, my God. So yeah, it is. It gets 50 million guaranteed signing. Jesus. I mean, so it pleased people. I mean, if he gets hurt, he's guaranteed 60 million. Incredible. And they're complaining about what we did with this kid. I mean, look. Like I said, you know, high reward, low risk. The amount of money. Well worth a gamble on this guy. I like him. I've seen him play. I know Chris, you like him. Mike, I know you like him. I mean, I, you know, I've watched the guy play over the last couple of years in Green Bay when love's been down. And he's played at a very high level. I want you to think of something. Imagine him and H&N at the same backfield. Right. Yeah, I'm quarter back. This kid is supposed to be a better runner than Lamar Jackson. I don't know if that. I mean, I would say he's, he's close. But telling you what they're saying.

6:06Yeah, I know. There's been, there's been some argument back and forth between people on social media and commentators about that. But I mean, but if he's near that level. Yeah, exactly. He definitely can run. You got to, you know, you got to cover not only the front side, but you got to cover the back side. You know what I mean? Put's a lot more stress on the defense. You got a guy here that fits the mold of the NFL quarterback in today's day and age, okay? You know, you've got fast guys all over the place on defense. Well, now you've got a fast quarterback, a guy that knows how to run the football. A guy that can create once things break down around them. A whole different situation is compared to what we've had the last couple of years to where once the play wasn't there, then it was basically done. You know, we're going to see people are going to be pleasant, surprised by this guy. You know, the only drawback is that there's not going to be a ton around him as of yet.

7:07You know, we still, you know, we still got a draft ahead of us. They made, you know, surprise and get some really solid players on the offensive side of the football, you know, along with Achan, as you mentioned, Mike and Willis. But I mean, it, you know, it's a no-brainer here. It's seriously a no-brainer. The quarterback position is so important. If the kid fails, you know, okay, so be it next year. They've covered themselves if he fails. It's only a two-year contract. Exactly. You know, a two-year guaranteed contract. Well, that's what I was getting at. So, yeah. I mean, you draft a, you draft a, you draft somebody next year. If, you know, if the kid fails, you know, we lose a lot of football games. He doesn't play at a high level. You're going to get a very high draft pick next year and you're going to be able to draft a quarterback. And as Chris said, towards one of you guys said, they're probably going to draft one anyway. The only difference will be is that, is that they'll have a higher draft pick

8:08and they'll get probably a higher quality quarterback or a quarterback that's less of a risk. So, they're in a great position here. And I love- They do in Green Bay, right? They draft their quarterbacks and they continue to draft their quarterbacks. You know, they had somebody to step in for a farve, right? They had somebody to step in for Rogers. So, it makes me think they'll do the same thing here. Right. Probably draft a quarterback and develop them and let them sit on the bench for a year or two if he needs to. Meanwhile, you see what Will is going to do. I mean, to me, it's a no-brainer. The fact is, is that you had two guys that were in that organization that were able to watch him. So, it says a lot about what they think of him and we talked about that. I said it. I said that, you know what? If they bring this guy in, okay, you know, first time GM, first time head coach in the NFL, if they're going to throw all the chips on the table

9:14over this guy, which is, I mean, this is their first big move and all, I mean, other than the cuts, obviously, which we knew were pretty obvious, you know, as to what they were going to do. They're first that major acquisition. It's their first major transaction acquisition, yes. And it's a good one. It's a smart one. And it's a, you know, the money involved is a joke as compared to what other quarterbacks are getting paid in the NFL. So, I mean, whoever's being negative about this situation, I think they're absolutely out of their minds. I think the people who are being negative or the people who wanted us to tank, they wanted us to tank to make sure we get a top three, top five pick because there is going to be multiple quarterbacks available next year or it's supposed to be like that. But I mean, we've talked about this before too. Last year at this time, they were saying this quarterback class was supposed to have a couple of studs coming out of it. And now look, you got Mendoza who definitely looks the part.

10:16But even some people have some questions about him, whether or not, like how high his ceiling is going to be. Right. So, but I mean, with Malik too, it's like, he's 26 years old. So it's like, you know, this, this was really was a great move, a smart move by them. And it gives us some optimism because had we not made this move and we went into the season with Quinn Ewers, how excited can we really be, you know? Now you have this guy who even if, you know, we run it with just Waddle and Achan. And you know, you add a couple subpar pieces around him. Those three guys in the speed that they have, you know, it's going to be fun to watch. It's going to give us something to look forward to, you know? Exactly. And, you know, the thing about the tanking, okay? I mean, you don't build Roman a day. I mean, you have to put every season going forward. Okay, we're going into, you know, the 2026 season, okay? If you don't put certain pieces in place,

11:18starting from now, which is what they've done, okay? Then all you're going to be, all you're going to do is tread water. You can't tank. I mean, if people are thinking that, oh, yeah, we're just going to go out and tank the season so we get a high draft pick. You're really banking on, you know, basically making one move, you know, at the top of the draft that's going to completely change your franchise. And we've seen, you know, we've seen that go backwards in a lot of situations. Most situations. Most situations. So, you know, the bottom line is this is that, you know, this is the start, okay? This is the first piece of the puzzle. And, you know, they have so many pieces that they still have to fill to complete the puzzle that regardless of what they do. I mean, yes, maybe they have a good draft and they have two or three rookies that excel, you know, that becomes starters

12:20and play at a very high level. And you win, you know, a half a dozen games instead of two or three. Then, you know, then so be it. You still may have a top 10 pick. I mean, look at our roster this year and how many wins we had. I mean, you know, so, you know, the tanking thing to me is, you know, it's not something that you have to put off, you know, I mean, you have to do right now. You have to put some pieces in place. It's almost like saying, you're going into the draft this year and you're like, well, you know what? I mean, you know, we wanted it. We wanted it. We don't want to get a lot of good draft picks because, you know, we want to get high draft picks next year. No, you got to start working from now. We're working towards the 2026 season and then we can build upon that in 2027. You know what I'm saying?

13:20I mean, they're laying a foundation. Exactly. That's what they're doing. They have to and it starts there and now you don't necessarily, and they may draft a quarterback. I mean, Chris, you talked about a few guys in the last podcast, you know, and they may draft one later in the draft, the third round, the fourth round, whatever the case may be, they still may bring somebody else in in this draft. Then, you know, you throw, you throw all these guys up and man, you may have, you know, you may have two guys that actually become really solid quarterbacks or look like two solid quarterbacks. I mean, Green Bay picked up Malik Willis from Tennessee, right? Didn't Tennessee draft him? For a seventh round pick. For a seventh round pick. Wow. I mean, he's pretty struggled in Tennessee. He wasn't ready. Yeah, and he couldn't beat out Will Levis. Will Levis. Yeah. One thing I really love too is when we signed him the other day, Pat McAfee had a little interview with him.

14:22Yes. One thing that came out about that is that, so he knew he was going to sign a major contract that they, whether it was with us, Arizona, the Jets, whoever, and they asked him, like, hey, do you want us to move the workout, you know, around that? So, and he was like, nah, man, like, I want to work. And, you know, I'll field calls in between reps and stuff like that. So that just shows the type of character guy he is too. And that's one thing I'm very excited about too, is he's a high character guy. We talk about this all the time. When you're coming to Miami, you need guys who are just going to be focused and who just want to ball. And he is exactly that type of guy. And I think that's why Sully and our head coach were like, yeah, let's pull the trigger on this. And, you know, let's get him in here. So, I mean, let's look at it the other way, Chris. You know, Willis has worked with them. He knows what their expectations are. Yet he chose to sign here. Yeah, exactly, right. He knows, right, go ahead. No, I was going to say that's exactly what I was about to say.

15:23And for the fact that he chose us over, you know, a team like Arizona, who has a trademark bride, who has a Marvin Harris in junior, who has, can't think of the other, Michael, can't think of his name, but the number two receiver who came along last year. You know, that probably was a little bit better situation, talent-wise, but I think he really believes in Sully and Halfley and what we're going to build here in Miami. So, I mean, I think that that tells itself, you know? Yeah, very good point, Chris, because I mean, they do have some pieces in place in Arizona, without a question of a doubt. I mean, Mick Rods probably top three tight end in the NFL. And, you know, you've got the young receiver, Marvin Harris, in junior, you have some pieces in place. I mean, you know, we do have a Chan here, and we do have Waddle if, you know, if they keep them, you know, because we still have today, it could possibly get traded. I've heard that over and over again, but, you know, we'll see. I think at this point, they're going to probably keep them.

16:23But, yeah, I mean, there are better pieces in Arizona. And him choosing to come here says a lot about him, because he knows that it's going to probably be a struggle this year. He's up for that challenge, and I love it. I love it. He took the hard road instead of the easy road, right? Or the easier road, I should have said, you know. I don't see it downsides of the signing. I mean, we've been complaining about the money, but you have to understand these NFL teams and the league are pushing for television contracts. And that means that the salary cap will continue to go up. So, you know, 22 million today is not 22 million next year, if that makes sense. Yeah, and they structured it perfectly too. I mean, to where he's only, it's only hitting us for 8 million against the cap this year, so we can make a couple other moves. You know, it's not completely strapping us with 22 million against, you know, they converted some of his salary to a signing bonus. And then I think next year, his cap

17:25it'll be like 28 million or something like that. Yeah, yeah. But my point is they'll have more money to spend next year. Oh, for sure. Total cap wise. Yeah. This year it's 301 million. Yeah. So next year, you know, it'll probably be at least 320 million, you know, so, you know, you have to factor all that in. So people look at the contract and they say, oh my God, but it's really not that bad for somebody who you presume is gonna be your starting quarterback. Mm-hmm. They resigned all such to a one year deal, which I'm happy about. Yeah, absolutely. I mean, that's another guy that, listen, all the things they've done up to this point, I'm very, very happy with. Every move, whether it be guys getting released, I mean, some of the guys I hated to see go,

20:27but it just makes an awful lot of sense as to why they're doing it. You know, they had to get under the cap. You know, they were close as I think they were two million under and I think what they're, what we're going to talk about, the Austin Jackson thing, I'm sure down the road. But with that move, they got to where they needed to be and they had to get to that before four o'clock today. So I think they accomplished that. So, you know, these moves were necessary. It was simple as that. You know, you hate to see guys like Sanders go, you know, but it was a necessity. You know, but the Dullsage thing, absolutely. Love the guy. You know, it's a one year contract. You know, they're going to evaluate him. They're going to see where he's at. And, you know, that may be, you know, we didn't talk about him. Chris, you didn't mention him, but you know, you've got a guy that, you know, could be really, really good with Willis and H Ann and Waddle around them. You know, you may have a tight end that actually becomes a really, really solid piece

21:31of that offense there. So it could be another piece to the puzzle right there on the offensive side, something that you don't necessarily, you know, have to overly address, you know, if you think you can reassign them, you know, after this season and keep them around, then there you have it. My only concern with Dullsage is he just hasn't been able to stay healthy up to this point in his career. So I'd still like to see us out at that position, whether it be VF-reagency or the draft. I mean, now I can see, you know, if we try to down a couple picks and we take that Kenyans to beat the tight end from Oregon who's supposed to be an absolute stud, because you got to remember too, with the Packer system, even though Slowick's going to be running the offense, they drafted Tucker Kraft, and then I can't think of this guy's name, but they drafted another top tight end in that same draft. So there's nothing wrong with having multiple tight ends that could do a couple different things and be a big part of the offense. I mean, that always helps the quarterback too,

22:32but yeah, I mean, I definitely like the Dullsage move. I like his talent. I just hope he's able to stay healthy. And then one thing we didn't mention too, that helped this Malik Will assigning is we traded Minka Fitzpatrick to the Jets, and we only got a seventh round pick, but we were able to have them pick up the whole contract, which ended up saving us, I think, an additional 10 million. So I mean, you hate to see Minka go, especially with six million Chris. No, I read something different, but we'll get a better understanding as things come out with that. But I mean, yeah, the Jets made some moves too, but it seems like they picked up a bunch of old guys, you know? Yeah, regardless. I mean, six million, 10 million, it was a necessity. And the fact that, and the fact that they picked up that contract is very good for us, because, you know, I mean, listen, these guys all underachieved last year.

23:34It's as simple as that. They didn't play at a very good level, a lot of these veterans. And, you know, when you have guys all over the field that are underachieving at this point in their career, you know, you've got to, you've got a situation to where move on from them, right? You know, let somebody else take the gamble on them. And I said this all along. How many times did I say there's gonna be teams out there that are gonna want these veteran guys because they feel that they're close? And the Jets, to me, as you just mentioned Chris, I mean, you know, they're basically doing what we do year in and year out. You know, we sign these veteran guys. We, you know, we get to about, you know, close to the playoffs or, you know, around 500 and we just stay in mediocrity, right? And that's what I, when you look at the Jets, I feel like they're doing exactly what we've done for the last 10 years, basically.

24:35They sign you know, Smith. They say, yeah, they have, right. I mean, so, you know, with all that being said, necessity, I like every single move that they've made. The Dullsage move is another one I like. What else we got? Like, unless you guys have something else on him. Well, saying Gonzalez replaces Patterson or Sanders, however you look at it. Both? Yeah. Because we had an option out of either or, and they're both gone. Sanders is now with the Giants. Yep, Sanders signed with the Giants again. You know, we don't know what they paid him, but it was, it was, it was a cheap one year deal. I don't know exactly what the figures are. Yeah, about millions, Mike, that we don't have, they're gonna sign this kicker to a minimum salary. Right. That's what I was saying. I don't know what to say. I have no numbers on Sanders. Right. And, you know, we released our punter, our snapper, our long snapper.

25:35Everybody's gone. Just like, I said it in the last part, I get rid of everybody. And they pretty much did other than, you know, one guy that we got to talk about that just happened today, right? You're speaking of Austin Jackson, I assume. Correct, yeah. Yes. They gave him a pay cut. He gave up four and a half million. Good. That created a 0.5 million in cap space for the team. Nice. The cap charge next year will be 12.89 million. And they added four void years onto the end of the contract. So they can spread that over those void years. So we'll see what they do with that. They can also restructure him and keep him around a little longer if he can stay healthy this year and produce. Right. Chris, what do you think of that? I think it was huge to save that $8 million.

26:35And even though Lou feels a little bit different, I said, you cannot get rid of everybody because then you have to replace everybody. So we're probably going to be looking, I don't know about two guards. It depends on how they feel about Savayinaya and whether they feel like they can help him elevate and take that next step. But the right guard position is definitely going to be a position of need with Cole Strange signing with the chargers. That was a guy we were thinking maybe we can bring him back. But you don't want to have to go into the season, especially with a new quarterback. And we didn't talk about this with Malik Willis, but I mean, he's definitely got a cannon of an arm and can run very fast. But his dimensions are the same as two of us. So he's not a really big guy. So you don't want him taking unnecessary hits. And he exited one of his games last year with the Packers with a shoulder injury because he took a hit. So with those quarterbacks that I like to create

27:36and like to run a little bit more, you want them to take as many, or at least the amount of hits as possible. So hopefully Jackson can return to form and just be serviceable. Like Borum was last year, you know? Like if he took a jump and made the pro bowl or some shit had an all pro year, that'd be great. But we just need Austin Jackson to come in and be not a turnstile. Yeah. OK, so now look at the offense as a whole right now, guys. You know, Austin Jackson's going to be back at the right tackle. You got Patrick Paul to left tackle and you got Brewer at center position. OK, you got three guys that, you know, two really solid guys and then Austin Jackson, if he's healthy, he can, you know, he's a mediocre player. But, you know, he's a piece of the possible and serviceable. So you got three starting linemen there. OK, the rookie, you know, they're going to bank on him coming back. OK, so now when you look at the offense as a whole,

28:39right, you've got three solid running backs, not a necessity. You know, you talked about the tight end position, Chris. You know, I mean, yeah, maybe they draft a tight end at some point. But I think they're going to go into this season with Julian Hill and Dullsage and, you know, and run, you know, see what they have with those two guys, right? Which won't be a bad situation as far as I'm concerned, especially with maybe a different quarterback throwing the ball to him. Now, so what do you have to address on that offensive side of the football? You got it, you definitely got it, Dre, you got to get a guard. You absolutely have to get a guard because if the rookie doesn't pan out, you're technically going to need two guards. So you, you need a guard and you need the wide, the wide receiver position is an absolute necessity as far as I'm concerned as well. You have Louis, you need a swing tackle. Yeah. Well, the swing tackle, Mike, is something that, you know, I mean,

29:41that, that is, that's, that's something that I don't see them. I mean, they may draft somebody that's a project down the line, but I'm talking about starters, starters. Yeah, no, I'm saying you have to have one because we lost Borum. Right. Well, they'll, they'll pick somebody up. I mean, somebody that, I mean, we did listen. We've done that, you know, we've done it year in and year out. They'll, they'll bring a project in and they'll, he'll wind up being a swing tackle sort of thing. The point I'm trying to make is is that the offense as a whole, okay, starting 11, okay, not backups, not third receivers, not four, three receivers, not fifth receivers, not a third tight end. You look at this starting offense as a whole, you need probably a third receiver, right? You know, unless you feel Malik Washington and Waddle are going to be your two starters, I see Malik maybe being a number three.

30:43I think you need a number one at wide receiver and you need a guard. And other than that, you know, I think on the offensive side, you know, you can put a decent offense out there going into the season. So you have to, you know, I think those are two key positions to where they got to look at that in the draft. Now that's on the offensive side of the football. So, you know, the defense is a whole other story, but I'm talking offensively now with the moves that they've made it that they're, they may not be a bad offense if they hit on a couple of guys in this coming draft. And they can stay healthy. Right. Well, that goes without saying. Yeah. All right, guys, we're going to break for a few moments and we'll be right back. I mean, with Minka leaving now, I'm definitely hoping that this Caleb downs falls to us. I think the whole, I mean, the defense of back situation as a whole, I mean,

33:50do we have a starter right now? No, I don't, I don't think so. You know, we have the rookie safety from last year, who I'm sure they'll get a good look at. But as far as I'm concerned, you need at least three starters, you know, the edge position. We got chopped Robinson and we resigned. Cam, good, but I think that's more for like special teams and back up. So you need at least two other edge rushers, Dotson's going to be back as well as Brooks. So at least that inside linebacker position is solid. The defense of tackle position. You got Kenny Grant first round pick from last year's sealer. And then you got biggers and Jordan Phillips. So I think the defensive tackle position should be fine too in the middle, the defensive line, but man, that we got some real holes and, you know, I've said this when we first hired halfway, if there's one thing that I know he's going to have right is that defensive back group. So because that's what he specialized in that, that's his, you know, that was his thing. So a result Douglas said he was open to coming back.

34:54They have ties from Green Bay. So Sullivan, you know, I think was part of drafting him and then watched him play majority of his career with Green Bay. So they have a pretty good idea there. But it's just, it's going to be interesting to see what we do as far as how many guys are we going to acquire through the draft or how many guys we're going to try to sign in free agency. You know, I think it's going to be more so a lot of younger guys and I just saw something this morning that we are now the youngest team in the NFL, which is nice, but at the same time, you know, that, that comes with its faults too. Sure. So, you know, I'd like to see us add a guy like Rasool Douglas and then draft the guy who, you know, can kind of be under his wing and he can kind of show him the ropes and stuff like that. But I mean, God, man, we have a lot of holes on that defense right now. Well, you got, you got two veterans on the defense really, right? You've got Brooks and you've got sealer. Yeah. Pay us that. Not a lot of that. There's not much. I mean, I don't know.

35:55Maybe you consider thoughts and, you know, a veteran also, but, you know, they, they don't have a lot of leadership on the team. So that can be a good thing or a bad thing, you know, depending on who they draft and then, you know, who they add by free agency. So we'll see. Well, in house, I mean, I, I don't know what the status is because we lost so many guys in the secondary. I mean, Elijah Campbell, co-who, what, what is it, Brent? What is the status on all these guys still under contract co-who's a free agent? Okay, Elijah Campbell, I'm not exactly sure. What about Storm Duck? He's another one. I mean, they had so many guys go down last year that, you know, you, you got to figure some of those guys are on the roster and those, some of those guys may very well be part of the equation in the secondary. And I'm not, I'm not saying that those guys should be, you know, we should

36:56bank on those guys, but we got to keep that in mind that we lost, I mean, every single week, it seemed like we were losing another guy that, you know, that we were depending on in the secondary. Storm Duck was actually going to be a starter. Yeah. Yeah. Duck would Campbell's a free agent as well, but he, I mean, he's 30 years old. I mean, they can bring him back for special teams and, you know, he's solid coming in as a backup and in situational play. But I think ducks on the contract, Chris, right? Yeah. Storm Duck should be under contract, but, man, do they have to completely revamp this defense, man? Yeah. Some of those guys, like I said last week, you know, in the podcast, you throw him up against the wall and, you know, a co-who was a starter for us. What? At the Nickelback for a lot, two, three seasons, and he didn't add a quick job, you know, I mean, and he came out and know where so, you know, who knows? I mean, like I said, Storm Duck was supposed to be a starter last year. He went on IR.

37:57We lost him for the whole season, you know, there's, you know, the other kid, who's the other one, Brent's that I mentioned, he, I'm pretty sure he's on the contract. So maybe one of those guys becomes one of your starting corners, you know, and then you draft also got Ethan Bonner. Yeah. Bonner. There you go. There's another. So, let's, you know, let's lose, boy, boner. Yeah. Yeah. So anyway, so listen, as we look at it, guys, and I think you'll be in agreement on this, you know, the offense seems to be in place more so than the defense. I think the offense now, you know, because we weren't sure if Austin Jackson was coming back or not, right? We thought he may have been a casualty, but now with him back, I mean, you've got, you've got your starting quarterback, you've got your starting running back, you've got a starting receiver, you know, pretty much with Dolsage is signing, you know, a tight end that's going

39:02to, may not be a star or Julian Hill, maybe they may be in there and running plays, but you've got a lot of pieces to the puzzle, your center, your two tackles are there. And now all of a sudden, you're looking at the offense and saying, hey, if this Malik Willis goes out and plays a little bit of a decent football, they may actually be a decent offense, you know, to where they put some points up. Especially if they can go out and get a good young receiver that, that just comes out and just balls for us. Well, you got three third round picks. There's no reason you can't find a receiver. Right. Yeah. And that's definitely a necessity. And I was watching Mel Kiper's draft show the other day. And he was saying that there's, I think like 20 receivers, he has graded that are like in the top 100. So he said, this is a pretty, pretty, pretty deep draft as far as receivers. And I think getting some size because, I mean, one thing that they talked about, you know, they want to, they want to be physical, but you can't be physical with a bunch of

40:04small, fast guys, you know, I don't, I have no issue with us having all this speed between H and Waddle and Malik, but they're going to have to pound the rock with Jalen Wright and Olly Gordon when needed. And I think, you know, Dolsich and Julian Hill are both pretty physical tight ends, but we need to go get a big body receiver that Malik can throw it up to in the red zone and that, you know, can just open it up for Waddle a little bit. Oh, so you're a guy that can block in the run game? Yeah. I mean, that's obviously a plus two. But yeah, that wide receiver position is definitely. And now if a guy like Carl Nell Tate falls to you at 11, now I think they think about maybe taking him, you know, I mean, it's, it's definitely going to, I'm excited to see what, what we end up doing and how we end up approaching this. One thing I'll say to that discouraged me a little bit as far as free agency goes is the fact that two teams who pick right in front of us, KC and, gosh, I can't think of

41:08the other team, but they address the running back position. And we were hoping that, you know, one of those two teams takes the back so that tackle or that safety or that middle linebacker falls to us. But now they have him projected possibly go into the giants at five. And I'm talking about love, the running back. So, I mean, that, that definitely impacted, impacted us with the chief signing Kenneth Walker. And then who did ETN of the Saints, the Saints, uh, signing, uh, Travis ETN because those, like I said, those were two teams that were eyeing that, that running back in the first round. You know, it's, I'm, I'm interested to see how that shakes out to all the picks in front of us. Yeah. It's going to be interesting. It is. And then so will the rest of free agency. I mean, you know, we just started it. So there's a lot of moves to be made yet. Uh, now how active Miami is while they can't be too active because they don't have much money to play with, but, uh, I'm sure those still sign a few more people and, you know,

42:12possibly release a few more people will see. Uh, any other thoughts, guys? No. That's it. That's all I got. Yep. All right. I mean, I'm, I'm excited about the well as signing. And, you know, I think it's a very smart move and there's really no downside to it in my mind. Uh, he either works out and you've got a very inexpensive quarterback that has some talent or he doesn't work out and they could easily get out of the deal. So I really don't see a downside. Uh, they're going to have plenty of money next year to absorb any dead cap hit that may be necessary there if they were to go that route. But I think he's pretty safe for the next couple of years anyway. Uh, what, and I also expect them to draft a quarterback either next year or next. So we'll see. But, uh, thanks for joining me, guys.
