I had food on my mind. And I wanted to just check in with you folks out there as we kick things off here on this Thursday. This week was the finale of MasterChef with Gordon Ramsay. And I know that the Canadian edition is launching here shortly. And my wife has been doing yeoman's work at home on her mat leave. She has become effectively the Gordon Ramsay of Canada with what she's pumping out on a nightly basis at Casa Daterio. It's Heaven's Kitchen is what it is as far as I'm concerned. But it got me wondering as we were looking into this, you know, if I had to, if you had to put together a dish, your best dish, your best put foot forward to try and impress Gordon Ramsay, what would it be? And I was stumped. I'm like, I don't think there is a food on the face of the planet that I would be able to whip up. If you gave me an hour, two hours, three hours, unlimited time, I would absolutely fail.

Having said that though, if I was going to do it, it would be my chicken quesadilla. And here's why. Here's why. Because it's foolproof. You can't really screw up a chicken quesadilla. But what I do with mine versus what every other restaurant does with theirs is basically it's like the restaurant wants to essentially just two folded pieces of paper with a little pinch of chicken in between, right? Whereas I stuff mine with an entire chicken, right? Like I'm like double-brusting my chicken quesadilla to the point where I don't think it meets the legal definition of what a chicken quesadilla is anymore. Anyway, that's what I would go with. And as we kick out the show today, I'm really hungry. So I want to talk food and I want you guys to give me some ideas tonight. As you tell me, what would be your go-to dish to impress Gordon Ramsay if you were faced with an opportunity to try and impress the food in Pursario?

And I was looking this up by the way, real quick. And I will ask Derek and Laila because I always like to get their thoughts on this as well. Some of the foods that most people are able to cook eggs tends to be the thing that people have the most familiarity, the most ability to cook whether or not they can cook them well. I don't know. Pasta? People apparently know how to boil noodles. Grilled cheese, even though I think there is an art to that. And apparently French toast is also a very common food that people are able to cook, slash, not microwave. They're able to do it without just putting it in the microwave and nuking it for 90 seconds. So I want to hear from you 780451-8800. Derek, Laila, I've got Gordon Ramsay's producer on the line. He wants to know what you're going to cook for him for your MasterChef audition. Until literally this second right now, I have no idea what words are going to come out of my mouth. So I really don't know. I mean, I guess I can make some pretty good butter tarts.

Okay. But, man, I got nothing. There is a dessert segment on MasterChef, I think, every year. Okay. But I mean, I put raisins in mine. Yeah. So, yeah. I don't know. And the automatically eliminated from my version of show. I would give up. Laila, what about you? Is there one dish, one thing that people know Laila for? I'm actually a very good cook, a Middle Eastern. So I think we grow up cooking. We have like one of the best cousins. So yeah, I can cook anything, but I feel like people like my seafood soup. Hmm. Seafood soup. What's the seafood soup? What is the family recipe? So I get like those packs of seafood and one pack of shrimp. And I washed them very well. And then I fried them with butter and celery. And then I cooked them in fresh broth.

And then I add some cream to it. And then salt and pepper. And that's it. I think it's so buttery and creamy and it's so good and warm. Okay. I look forward to a bowl of this tomorrow for lunch here at Chad HQ. Not tomorrow. Not tomorrow. I'm hungry now. We had food yesterday. Why can't we keep this going? Oh, there you go. Well, that does sound very appetizing. And it might not just be spit out of Gordon Ramsay's mouth the moment the spoon touches his lips, which is undoubtedly what would happen with anything that I can cocked or anything with raisins, Derek. Yeah. Maybe I'll just flip the table and walk away, Angerly. I like that. You know, before he has an opportunity to call you an idiot sandwich. Totally. You turn around and call him an idiot sandwich. Yeah, just flip the table and walk out. That's it. But I'm curious. Yeah, do you have a specialty dish, a family staple that you want to share with us as

we're talking about some great food options out there? Maybe gives some inspiration to folks for a meal tonight.
