Do Narcissists Know They are A Narcissist?

One of the most common questions we all have about narcissists once we learn about narcissism and the evil associated with it is whether or not a narcissist knows they are a narcissist. At first, many of us thought the answer was no because narcissists typically lack a sense of self or self-awareness. However, we do learn later on that there are self-aware narcissists and that just means they know they are a narcissist (but don't know who they are which is part of lacking a sense of self). When we speak of narcissistic behaviors, we are not talking about those who are self-aware narcissist. We are talking about the unaware narcissists.
