But when a relationship becomes abusive, it is not a safe place for the spouse or the children.  So, what do you do, and how do you navigate this painful transition and confusing time in your life? 

My guest, Liz Merrill, after being in an abusive marriage of 20 years, she knew she had to leave.   

And from what she personally experienced in her own contentious divorce, she decided to pivot in her career of 35 years as a classical musician to become a divorce mediator and coach to help others avoid the expensive, unnecessary mistakes she made in her own divorce by providing the services she wished she had.
