District-scale opportunities are very unique: Sam Lee on NorthIsle's 36% Resource Growth
About this episode
Northisle Copper and Gold's newly integrated mineral resource estimate adds 330 million tonnes of indicated material, a 36% increase, across the North Island Project's four deposits on northern Vancouver Island. CEO and President Sam Lee spoke to Mining Stock Daily. Lee attributed the growth primarily to a 405-million-tonne, 0.5% copper-equivalent high-grade zone identified near surface across the Northwest Expo, Red Dog, West Goodspeed and Hushamu deposits, which he said would be mined early in the project's roughly 29-year life to fund the balance of development.
