On May 2nd, North Hamptonshire Police are on the hunt for a group that allegedly dined and dashed at a Miller and Carter Steakhouse, leaving behind a 539-pound 70-pence bill. This went down on April 6th between 5pm and 7pm, with the crew ordering of food and drinks before slipping out without paying. They release CCTV images of several suspects they want to question, hoping folks will come forward with tips. Call 101 and quote incident number 2, 6-0-0-0-2-1-3-4-09 if you recognize anyone. The restaurant draws crowds for its 30-day-age steaks from Britain and Ireland, plus hits like salt and pepper calamari and the Steakhouse dirty, burger. But this isn't the chain's first running back on March 27, two guys pulled a similar stun at the catering location after lunch. Meanwhile, a restaurant owner and if switch went public about a couple who skipped out on a 195-pound tab on April Fool's Day.
They had ribeye steaks, snails, scallops, drinks, and a 49-pound bottle of red wine then vaped outside before vanishing. Police probes continue across these spots, stressing the toll on owners and staff, both mentally and on the wallet. Keep eyes peeled and report what you notice shut down these bill dodgers for good.
