Did You Know You Are What You Think? - Wellbeing Wisdom Tiny Bites Podcast
About this episode
Most of us have heard the phrase “you are what you eat.” It’s a pithy way to remind us that food is fuel, and if we fuel our bodies with junk they won’t work as well as if we feed it well.
What if I told you that you are what you think?
People who focus on what they dislike are constantly aware of what they dislike. The neighbor’s barking dog – red lights – people who cut in line or cut them off in traffic. How do you think those people feel most of the time?
What you focus on is what you’re paying attention to, which means it’s what you’re going to notice most and react to most.
You are what you think, so focus on what you love, not what you fear or what you dislike. Believe me, it’s way more fun to focus on the positive things that are all around you than the negative things.
