2:28Hello, wow, yeah, we just like zoomed right into this episode. I just got here. No small chat. Go go go go go go. Say it for the show. No, we're here, everybody's here. Uh, I am somewhat well. I'm somewhat unwell. I wasn't feeling great this morning, but you know, I'm fine. I'm fine enough to be here. Okay. You're alive. You can still do the show. miserable. I am inside, perhaps, but. I am living. Yes, you know what it is? I truly, I think it's just that, um, I think all the anxiety from like the trip I went on, like, it was just by myself, you know, solo travel trip. And I think all the anxiety was finally just like, my body was like, we're holding it together, right? We're going to be cool the whole time you're gone. I was like, thanks for doing me a solid. And then it's like, you're welcome. And then like, it almost always happens that the day after I get home, my body is just like, and you're not going to sleep well. And you might have some tummy troubles. But it's like, it's like all the anxiety that it ignored. Yeah. Spirited here. Yeah. So you have rough morning, but otherwise, I've, I lived bitch.

3:30You lived bitch. Thank God. Yes. We need to. Don't die yet. Tour. There's only two of us. I mean, like what else? What do we do? Show by myself every week. I mean, don't, don't threaten me. So maybe when that comes around, we can get him on there. He doesn't have a switch to yet, but he said he would buy one for that game. So well, he waited too long. The price hikes today, Brad. I know. What are you going to do? It's going to cost like 30 more pretzels. Maybe he could get that switch or like that sweet Zelda edition. That's coming out. Yeah. Yeah. Now, what is this water? What kind of water bottle you got here? This is just bought this from the gym. Because I forgot water.

4:30And I was like, I just need water right now. Who is it? It's Kirkland. That's Costco's brand, right? Oh, all right. Alkaline water, pH 9.5. Alkaline water, a interesting, interesting. There's a little, there's tiny Texas says, at the time of bottling. So who knows? And it's got the little, I can't see probably that well. So it's got like the little scale you could see right there, showing you. Like a pool test. It's it's science water. I don't know. Science and science is all good. Science is all good. It's my parents, you know, we were in New Hampshire for the weekend. And they had Poland Springs, which is my favorite brand of bottled water. I think you can only get it in the Northeast. It's just the bottled water that like, as it even as like a young person, it was like, this is elite bottled water. And moving to the South can't get it here. So how did Poland Springs for a weekend? Fantastic. So it's like, this is like your guys' version of Arrowhead. Is Arrowhead everywhere?

5:31Is that just around here? No, exactly. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because like here we have deer park. deer park was. This is the water I buy at BJs. And Publix has it too. These are my favorite bottles because they don't crackle. Like the really thin water bottles make so much noise. And I'm always working out with with the shows. So I like to taste it with water. I like the bottle it comes in. Everything's good. Yeah. Got to have that good water. I need to try that like really expensive water that some of the S that that influencer guy like washes his face within. In terms of SP something. Oh, I don't know this one. I was thinking every on at first is what you were going to say. And I don't know anything else. Hi, I got to find it. Oh wait, it's uh, Saratoga. That's it. Saratoga water. I've not heard of that. That's like, um, I was trying to tell Colin about and I might be pronouncing it wrong. Are you familiar with the California store? It's like Airwan. They're like really expensive stores.

6:33They have like it's like E R. No, I don't know. It's like ERE. W H O N is the store name or oh, sorry. ERE. Yeah. Okay. I don't know why Google saying I spelled it wrong. And then the logo's here. Anyways, they have really expensive stuff like $30 smoothies. You know, like like Game Grumps did an episode where they tried some of the most expensive stuff from there. And I asked Colin, I was like, not that you like, I expected you to shop here, but were you familiar with this place? Or is it like super neat? She's like, I never even heard of it. And he was out there. He was out there. Yeah. Huh. Yeah, I never heard. I've never seen one that I recall. But maybe you go out and get yourself a $30 green smoothie. If you don't mean you'd like to do something though. So when I wrote in last week about doghouse, if you recall, yes, I went to doghouse. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I got two chili cheese dogs. Good shit.

7:33Good shit. Dude, the buns. I, the bun is like almost like a Hawaiian roll to me like toasted. That's really reminds me of it. It was so fucking good, dude. I loved it. So amazing. That sounds great. Well, minus I'm not much of a cheese person as people know. So minus that. But like, did you find yourself running real fast after? Were you walking around saying that chili dogs? Like, yeah, oh, yeah. Absolutely. I was rolling around like a tumbling and stuff. Yeah. Absolutely. Leave them low groups, you know, hedgehogs like just poop as they run. They do. They do. Yeah, yeah. Hey, maybe I did. Maybe I did. I don't know. It's just the chili and the cheese work and it's magic. It's yeah. That's the prize. They have tater tots also, which are very good as well. And like, Dustin or Chris had said something about like, is he going to be gooning? While I'm gone. And then I had texted him during the show and was like, save up that Goon milk for when mama gets home.

9:34But then he read it on the show. And now we're here. The trip. The trip was great. Was nice to see the family. Everyone. Who's the HR at this company in its calling? Yeah. What's like? I mean, if anything, I would probably be the HR. I'm like the only woman here. Great. I know. Usually a few male dominated industry. Usually is. Yeah. Great. You was HR wholly. I'll listen to any complaints that you have. You'll listen. And that's it. I would. We listen and we don't care. That's like a motto. But yeah, the trip was great. It was very cool up there. But only like comparatively, I'll say. Because it was like 75, 76 degrees most days. Pretty breezy because it was on the lake. But it's like, I was wearing a jacket. Because here I had left the weather that was like, 96, 98 degrees. And I did just feel chilly by comparison. And it did have like, there was a nice breeze coming from the lake all day.

10:34We did a fire pit one night. The overnights are definitely cooler than here in Virginia. So like, it was getting down to like the 60s. So it was nice. It was a nice place. It was a cozy like, you know, lake house type of vibe, you know, nautical decorations to be found around the property. My dad like went fishing and kayaking. I did not go kayaking because I'd rather die. But it was great to like hang out with the folks and my sister, you know, cooking with my dad. That's always a treat. So at one point we started watching like, tornado like videos. And then car accident dash cam. Just hanging out with pops. So it was a good weekend all around. I'll say. Yeah, yeah, glad you survived. Yes, I did not die on the plane, despite the turbulence on both flights. I going there and coming back. And you know, being sat next to like a stranger, both of whom were quite nice.

11:35But it was like, I'm going to die next to this person. This is it. This is it. Yeah, yeah, man. Flights. It's like such a dice roll. If you get someone cool next to you. Oh, do you mean because like, all the difference, all it is, the flex is to have no one next to you. But you just don't know. So my foot, my flight going to Boston totally booked. No chance of having no one next to you. My flight coming home. I checked the app at one point. And I could have switched seats to the three rows side. And there was like a dude sitting by himself. And I could have had like the window seat. And hopefully known what's it between us. But however, that's a dicey gamble. Because if I switched to that seat from my like two seats, this plane I was on for the ride home was a row of two seats on one side and a row of three seats on the other. So me and mystery person were locked in on one side. If I, you know, defected to the three row side, but then the plane filled up, I'm in an even worse position.

12:36Yeah. Now that guy ended up having no one in his row. He had the whole three row seat myself. Oh, you know, so it's like, I could have moved. And then the seats ahead of him were empty. But those seats don't have the under seat space in front of him. Mm-hmm. So I would have had to put my backpack like with my switch and all that up and the overhead bin. That's no good. But the lady next to me was very nice, extremely quiet. Really didn't talk to me. That's ideal. And we had a grand old time. Yeah, that's the best. I remember I went to New York City for a preview event for Father of the 16. It was just me. But I was in a three seat row. And there was no one there except me. And I was like, perfect. Yes. And I just laid down on all three seats. And I was like, holy moly. Oh, yes. You just looked like the armrests. Like, yeah. It was something special. If I'm not going to play now, though, I'm getting the aisle seat every time. Oh, see, I'm a window seat gal. But that's because I will never use the bathroom.

13:39So I don't want to get up to let you out. Like, I'm going to take the window seat. You are free to come and go as you please in your aisle seat. But like, I am not going to get up. We're going to we're locked in for the duration of this flight. I'm not moving. You know, I get up and like, I'm eight feet tall. So I got to stretch my legs a little bit occasionally. Just to, you know, that I only need to get that leg out there a little bit at least one of the legs. Stretch my beverage card as it comes back. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The only the good thing about the window is just that you can lean against the side of the plane, which is nice. But that one that I like. I didn't get to take advantage of that this time because I don't feel comfortable falling asleep when I'm by myself on a plane. Yeah, okay. You had type deal. So I had, and it wasn't a very long flight, but I was sleepy. And I just like had to like, hold it together and stay awake the whole time. But like, it puts you to sleep at a certain point. It's like white noise. It's so loud in the plane. But it's like not a distinct sound. And then the television, you know, that you can watch.

14:41I put on like tennis, like the US Open or whatever. And I was putting me to sleep. But yeah, you know, then I got out the switch light kept myself awake. They came, you know, the snacks come around. They had really good snacks. I flew JetBlue and the snacks they had. Oh, I love JetBlue. I used to do. They don't, I don't think they come out of, I used to go to them at a long beach. But I don't think they're there anymore. No. They have really good snacks election. So like, everyone got a bag of those like, Tates tiny cookies. Everybody got a bag of those. Like, that was like, not a choice. Well, it was a choice if you wanted it or not. And then they came around with a second round of snacks that you get to choose. And it was like, chewy bar, biscoff cookie. I took the plantain chips both times. I don't remember if there was another option. It might have been like, might have been cheese. It's or something like that, you know? Mm-hmm. Because I also, I like flying Delta always has the biscoff cookies. And I like getting those. But those plantain chips, style of the plantain chips. And it was a perfect kind of snack. I'm in the little cookies.

15:42Plantain chips held me over for the flight. Everything was great. I did not get a drink. No beverage. I had my own bottle of water in my backpack. I always do that too. They're going to hand you an unsecured cup of water. Like, no lid. And it's like, you have to drink it. Or you have to like pass it back. And like, try not to spill it too much. Yeah, the move is definitely bring your own water and a snack. Because you just don't know what the situation's going to be. No. And I'm not taking that chance. Colin is like, pissed me off in the past. Because he'll like decline the free snack. Like, when we're traveling together. And it's like, I will eat both snacks. Give me the snack. Like, it's a free snack with your ticket. Give me the snacks. Save him for later. I don't care. But it's like, take the snack. And he'll just go, no, thank you. And it's like, Pah! Pah! Pah! Pah! I actually cut off their name, so I apologize. But you wrote a semi-embarrassed story, so maybe we'll save you from getting made fun of by your co-workers. So, mystery person, Dear Brad and Bica, my life has been ruined by the two of you. Tosox has come up a few times, which wasn't a problem until now. A few weeks ago, I was helping my boss throw away some claims at work. But before that could happen, they needed to be verified. My boss went to grab another manager and they went outside. While everything was being verified, I was looking at the ground waiting, and I noticed this other manager was wearing toe socks.

18:48Dot, dot, dot. But wait. I wouldn't have been able to see him wearing toe socks. That's because he was wearing toe shoes. I only noticed, because in my head, I was like, oh, someone wears toe socks like Bica, and then I realized it was shoes. I didn't say anything until after I clocked out and was sitting on a table with my friends, boss included, and I pointed out that he was wearing them. Of course, my boss didn't notice them, and then he proceeds to make jokes about me liking toes and feet. And now I have to suffer through these jokes. I even once said, I only noticed because of the podcast, my boss was the one who got me listening to all of LSM, and he then said, oh, so you're into Bica and Brad's feet, and I wanted to die. Also, anytime we see the manager, my boss either looks at me or makes a joke. I can't escape these jokes, but I like to think that if I hadn't listened to the podcast, I might have never noticed the toe shoes or even given them a thought.

19:49Brad, you're more than welcome to put the whole blame on Bica. No, no, we share the blame because Brad has like veto rights on this podcast. It's his show. It's your show. Your Andy Millenus. Okay, I have the ultimate control, but I can't just erase everything that's Michael coded because people will catch on. They'd be like, Brad, since you're a Bica, you're not letting her fly free or anything like that. It probably should be censored though, you know, after the Goon milk debacle, it probably should be more censored. 20:49I was like subtly glancing. And it's like, well, brand or those. They were hokas. I've seen those whenever worn them. Yeah. And I was like, interesting. I'm always observing footwear because I'm always looking at like running shoes and stuff and trying to see like, what's hot? What do people like? Yeah. I mean, yeah, I'm the same way just because I like clothes and all that kind of stuff to you. I mean to that, but like, I don't know. You gotta be careful. You don't want to come out like a like a pervert is what I'm saying. You don't, you don't mean, we don't know how he said it. Maybe he was like, you guys jiggle. They guys feet, you know, and that wouldn't, that would have set you up for people to think it was more the fairies right there. Yeah, it's like, you see how long his do's were. It's really. She told me about. Wow. She okay, she about big toes. It's like, oh no, he wouldn't do that. No, that's an HR violation. Yeah. Well, it happens. We know HR is useless. Well, I still haven't been able to get those toe socks for you because they don't have your size. And I'm really like perplexed at this point with how long they've been out of stock.

21:50I were like, and I'm going to find another brand. Well, that's the thing. They're not like super unusual feet size. No, they're not, but all they've had is like the men's nine. And I'm like, that's that's too, that's too small. That's too small. Like, you know, like, that's all they've had though, according to their size chart, because I'm just I'm just double checking as we speak. Okay. Yeah, what they, not even what they haven't stock right now is a men's six to eight and a half. It's the size socks they have. Oh, okay. So I'm like, dude, that's not even close to a size 10, not even close, you know? Not even close. But I'll have to look into other brands because that's my particular brand. And I've been hoping it would come back and stock just because I got a voucher these I like. You know what? If you can get Colin to vouch for them, I'll consider them. Oh my God, he hates them. I'm not allowed to wear them like around the house because he's like, they're so creepy. It's like, I hate those things. And so like the other day, I was getting ready to work out.

22:53And so I put my socks on and I wouldn't like got my water bottle. And he's like, why are you wearing those things? I was like, I didn't put my shoes on yet. I'm sorry. He said, try to like just pop off my sneakers, but I didn't know he's going to come downstairs. Like he really, really hates it. Yeah, I mean, I don't blame him, dude. They're weird. They're unsettling. I just turned on my music box back. So it doesn't, it doesn't help too. That I bought the colorful pack. So I have ones that are like orange and yellow and like green. Yeah. Yeah, I got a banana seed dude. Yeah. Well, then I got, I also got at the set that's like black and gray. I bought both, but yeah, for the most part, I like the fun color ones the best. And so when I'm picking them out of the drawer, those are the ones I picked. Well, how many pairs do you have, do you think? I have six total pairs. I bought two, three packs. Okay. And I wear them though three times a weekish. So it just kind of happens that I guess keep grabbing the colorful ones. Then I wash them at the end of the week and then I grab the colorful ones. Yeah, of course, of course, of course. Gotta do the laundry. Micah, this reminds me. So we got sent a couple of packages.

23:54Mine arrived that you, was sent to you. And you sent to me. So this is from pair of shoes on the show them off because he sent me a couple cool things. But my favorite thing he sent me is this Traverse Town music box from Kingdom Hearts. That's really cool. And I was like, ooh, I don't know if you can hear it. I'll give it a little crank. Oh, that's awesome. Yeah, I was like, hell, yeah. But he sent you some sweet stuff. He sent Maddie some sweet stuff. So shout out. Thank you guys. Appreciate that. Because we do have a PO box for work that you guys go to. So we ever have, for some reason, want to send us something, send it to the PO box. And Micah is good about it and sent it to us. And she pays for the shipping. Well, the company pays for the shipping. Oh, yeah. Because I believe pair of shoes also had something for Dustin.

24:55And but Dustin has his own PO box. Right. It's a pair of shoes graciously sent that separately so that we wouldn't incur another fee. But it's all, it really, truly, it's never a problem. Unless you're going to send like 40 things for a lock more, it's going to start to be a problem. Yeah, lock away. Little more problem definitely for him. But it's extremely appreciated everything. 25:56He doesn't see it. That is not going to fly. He's going to be upset. No. And then I got to explain it like to my family. Why weren't, I mean, well, are they going to question it? Not really. Yes. Not really. I mean, if it's your family, they know you're free. So they probably won't. Though they all know everybody knows everybody knows. Everyone finds out usually really quickly. She tries to play cool for like a week or two that starts coming out. Well, I found out too that like my parents, you know, they've been, they basically know the drill is just listen to like the first like 30 minutes of our various shows. Yeah. For like the nonsense. But I'm just like, mom, Mia, the worst part. I never, I never. I never know what's going to be said. I never know what's going to happen. Nobody does. I don't. I don't encourage anyone from my family to listen to anything we do. I have not encouraged it. I haven't even discouraged it because like my cousin at one point was like, oh, my son loves Nintendo. And I was like, oh, not for kids. Not for kids.

26:57Yeah. Yeah. My niece is a nephew wanted to see the stuff. And I was like, no. You know, you just have to skip ahead to like a time stamp of like, here's us talking about this. And it's like how could that possibly go wrong? And it's like immediately like gene. It's like out of say and something horrible like. Yeah. Go to the worst. Go inside something. I don't know. You're talking about like, the funnest night episode is legendary. Legendary. Yeah. That is a legendary moment. Yeah. I just I don't like how well, I do like because it's disgusting. And I want to know this, but how fast the like the moving was swept under the what the rug. It's just like, well, you know, and I, I didn't expect the follow up on my show. Okay. This was set on sacred. You never know where the crossover is. I know. You know, within our audience, because we have some extremely dedicated listeners who listen to like every show. And then we have people who only listen to some inside and only listen to sacred. I don't expect a ton of overlap typically with the sacred crowd.

28:00So when there is overlap, like like distinct overlap, like why you're calling out like a moment, it's like, ooh, spicy. Did you think that? Did you think that anyone at this never that only listens to punching up and not sacred symbols? I have seen comments on some social media that have people listen to punching up and some in sign or like punching up and Duke. Like we do have a very small subset of users who aren't PlayStation fans. The entire company, you know, is centered around PlayStation in general, right? Like the majority of our listeners are PlayStation gamers. We of course, though, we added on defining Duke, which really like we already had existing listeners who listen, who play both brought in though a new audience as well. Of course, like switch for many people has always kind of been like the secondary console. So it wasn't a huge surprise that we'd have some overlap. But I am, you know, continually like, oh, wow.

29:02When I see someone say like, oh, punching up or in some in sign are like, all I listen to. Like really, really double dose of bread for them every week. Stageless. I don't know. I don't recommend that. But thank you guys. We appreciate it. We're scrappy. Very much. That's here. All right. We're scrappy. We're small. We're just doing our own thing. Yeah, we are. We should be sure. And that's part of it because I'm not saying this to be combative. When I do see people say like, you know, that it's not the type of Nintendo podcast they're after. I'm really afraid. However, I don't really not changing it. We are, we are definitely not the traditional Nintendo podcast. That's for sure. I mean, it's LSM's version of it. Yeah. I would say LSM is not really the traditional sense of any podcast, I guess. No. And I feel like the future a little more well behaved than us in some regard. But they get a little crazy every now and then. But they absolutely can get crazy.

But Pichmin three is still my favorite. And like the one that I recommend the most is what got me into Pichmin as I played that one first. So I don't want to hear any slander from you. No, there's no slander. There's no slander. But I think it's an excellent little series. And it's one that I definitely just hope becomes more popular. I'd love to see them just kind of really lean into Pichmin. They are. I think it has a potential, you know? Yeah, me though loves Pichmin. So I think you're fine. He like he really loves Pichmin. It seems like so that's like his baby almost nowadays. He's like, fuck Mario, fuck Zelda. Pichmin. So they were at yeah, they're coming. The Pichmin ain't going nowhere. Not like arms. What a done. Oh, arms. You know, we'll get to this later on, but like I was looking through my game collection based on a question we received.

1:01:46And I saw arms and I was just like, I just heard this sad music playing in my head. Like, oh, why didn't have to be this way? Why didn't have to be this way? Well, it's what I'm done like Dragon Drive, hopefully. Ooh, Dragon Drive. Yeah, no one's having a funeral for that one. And Dragon Drive, these nuts. Yeah, it's like, I don't care about that game at all. See ya. There's a, there's a Dragon Drive on Mibo on my shelf. There's a Min Min Mibo somewhere back there. Yeah. So Dragon Drive on Mibo. Min Min made it into Smash too. So there you go. Yeah. Dude, put a Dragon Drive guy in the wheelchair in Smash. That could be pretty funny actually. I'll be into that. It'd be funny to have him be one of the things that like, you know, you're going to get and be like, you just like drives across and like knocks people off of it. Yeah, that would be sick actually. That's a good, yeah, I do like that. Good call, Mike. Nintendo, take that idea. It's a good idea. It's not offensive at all. They have a guy in a wheelchair running people off the road. Exactly. All right. We actually though, oh, sorry, very quick story, very quick story.

1:02:48When I was in high school, I will not say her government name, but everyone called her Knight Rider. There was a girl in a wheelchair who flew down the halls like as fast as possible, running over people's feet. She was like a menace. All right. She was like a parent. She was like a parent with like a stroller just running over people. Oh my God. Like, dude, like you, you, you, you'd hear people saying like, Knight Rider is coming and everyone like back up against the lockers because it's like, you don't want your feet getting run over like she gave no fucks. She would just plow through people on the wheelchair. Oh my God. It was just like, why are you doing this? Are you so ruthless? I don't know, man, because she has that power. What are you going to do to Knight Rider? What are you going to do about it? We could do nothing except protect our feet. Like you would hear the way you would hear someone say it like, everyone just back up against the wall like make room because like she wouldn't, she wouldn't be obvious to bad. She wasn't like steering into people, but she simply did not give a fuck. It's like, I'm rolling through here.

1:03:48Move. Damn, man, Knight Rider. Ruthless. All right. Let's do what we've been playing. Let me read this from Davy Super first, though. What's up, y'all? Did any of you have the misfortune of trying to call duty beta over the weekend? I was more hyped for this than I expected. So I went in hoping to love it. Holy shit. Was it bad? It looked like a mobile game stretched out to fit my monitor. And how it looks slightly better, but the joy cons make it unplayable. I was hoping this game would look and run similar to Fallout 4 anniversary edition, but it was nothing of the sort. I love New York references. Bethesda is known for their janky games and the quality of Fallout in Skyrim blows us out of the water. For context, I booted up Resident Evil Revelations for Switch 1 and it looked and played better. What the fuck happened here? Have a, is that an emany or a mailbox I'm looking at kind of day? All right, Micah. I wrote, I put this here because you played the beta, right? I got hooked on it. Yeah, you did.

1:04:49I'm about to pre-order this game. However, well, decide who, where I'm pre-ordering it because here's the thing. So yeah, the campaign, I did not enjoy the campaign level that they had available. There were, it was definitely first of all a little buggy. It was just things were just enemies would get stuck in the air. An explosion happened and the guy's body was just flying around. Stuff like that kept happening. It also just felt weirdly clunky. And thematically, this maybe just wasn't a good level to have as the demo because there were just so many moments of press-wide boost this guy up. Ten seconds later, press-wide to boost him up again. There's too many of those press-wide moments versus actually shooting guns and having to find, let me shoot some goons and stuff, but the multiplayer. I got hooked. I got hooked. I haven't played Call of Duty in a bit. I was having a great time.

1:05:50And here's a very key thing. So at first, I was like, these graphics, man. This isn't working well because it was the textures and the pop-in that was happening while you were running. It was really distracting because of course, you know, playing Call of Duty, you're looking for movement on screen. And when a doorframe pops in or a texture on a wall suddenly appears, it's very distracting. So I did have some fun moments. I killed a guy and I stole his care package. It ended up being this murdering robot tank thing. It was awesome. That was great. It was like the good old days. And then I was having some fun. I was playing like Hardpoint, which is going to make my favorite modes. And I was having fun customizing the weapons, you know, messing around with the salt rifle class and all that. And in this one, they gave you attachments instead of perks in the other games. You know, like this one, you can choose like five attachments. There's many to choose from. You can have five and set it up how you want to play.

1:06:52I always do iron sights so that always saves me a slot pro tip from a pro called Duty Gamer, use iron sights, save yourself that accessory slot. You don't need a scope, I promise. But like the looks were really holding it back just in terms of like, dude, it's distracting, like it's popping. So I did some googling. And someone had said that you could change the texture quality to minimal. And where the setting actually is is that the setting is called on demand texture streaming. And this is what it says, high quality textures are downloaded from the internet as you play the game, providing more color and detail on surfaces. You can set a daily download limit. I don't like this one bit. This idea that it's like the map is like, you know, downloading like optimized textures and like, and to the point that they're like, you could set a download limit because it's going to eat up a lot of your internet. I was like, what? But so I switched it to minimal like that guy said, and it does look far more stable.

1:07:57And I'm no longer having these issues of being distracted by like stuff just appearing on screen. Some of the textures still kind of had that that wavy effect like like a grill on a car, like horizontal lines had that kind of like more raid wavy effect. But that was fine. It really didn't bother me as much as like the like, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop in while you're running. Tabletop mode. I did not try handheld because I have a pro controller. I'm not going to play this on the joy cons like a roob. I'm sorry. Which is why would you do that? You know, like, you know, I would you do that. The joy cons. I would stay in it. You would have enough travel. It ain't good. You got test of science just to see how it looks and everything. I tested tabletop mode with the pro controller. And that's still very bad. So that does just have like the draw distance is asked and the pop in issues returned, you know, despite having said to minimal, the running felt laggier in tabletop mode.

1:08:59People running by me looked stuttery. So handheld tabletop mode do not recommend currently. But playing it on the TV, I was having so much fun that like today, I ended up like postponing my work out just because I was like one more match, one more match. And it was the betos was to end up one o'clock Eastern. And it's like 2 p.m. And it was still on and I was like, damn it. I don't know how long they're leaving it up for. But I want to keep playing. I've seen an update that's going through 10 p.m. tonight. So, Karei for me, I'm going to play some more. I'm having a great time. I'm having a good deal of fun. So I'm conflicted though because if the switch like tabletop mode, because at first, actually, I thought the small screen would be very difficult. Just in terms of like spotting people like the screen better for me. And that wasn't as much of the problem as just like the draw distance was asked. So if it's going to be a TV only game, I think I should just get it for Xbox. Sure.

1:09:59Yeah. Like if I'm not ever going to play at handheld, I think Xbox is the way to go. I want the novelty of getting it for switch. I want to support that like, yes, you tried. And it's good enough. Like the TV mode truly is good enough. Like I've been playing it for hours already and I'm having a great time. I just have those feeling of like, yeah, if I'm only going to play it on the TV, I may as well get the best version of it. Yeah. And that's going to be Xbox. So, hmm, still thinking that over, it comes out in like what October. So I have time to like him and hob about it. But it's probably going to be Xbox because the tabletop mode was so bad. So, uh, I have to say mouse controls I forgot. Yes. Every time you boot up the game on Switch, it reminds you about like strapping the joy con to your wrist and showing you how to use the mouse controls. I did not try that. I've never played Call of Duty or any shooter with a mouse.

1:11:00So I was like, I know this is an advantage for some people, but for me, it's like I've only ever played Call of Duty with a controller. So I don't, I'm like, ah, stay away from that. Stay away from that. So also it has cross playing. You can set it to cross play with everyone. So like PC and console, you can set it to cross play with just consoles. You can set it to no cross play and only play with people on Switch 2. That was the hardest to find a match for. It is of course the beta, but I will say that like it was, you know, it took longer to find a match. And when you did find a match, for example, like it tells you like the, the ping, it was like the ping was like 35 on the Switch 2 only match. And the ping was like 20 something when I just had like cross play for everybody turned on, right? So I was getting better quality connections when I was just being put in lobbies with everybody. Okay. So that's kind of the way to go. Well, I'll leave it to consoles only.

1:12:00I don't need the PC people in there, but we don't, we just don't need to play with them. You know, separate but equal. I'll play with people on consoles. That's where I belong. Okay. All right. Okay. So that's called duty. Anything else? Yeah. So at the airport and on my flight, I finally did tribal outro. I get it now. I see the addiction very clearly. There's not a ton for me to say about it. It's not a new game either, but my key points. The tutorial is extremely well done. And just right away of all these elements of addiction, because it's like it's already a card game, which I enjoy quite a bit. But then you can buy like booster packs, which are just like the art for them, like the in game art is just like so pretty like a shiny, you know, little card packs. You're like, I want to open one. I want to see what I get. And that just keeps rolling. That feeling of like, what am I going to get during this run, which cards can I find?

1:13:00The variety of cards. You have the tarot cards, the deck cards, the the Joker's a course like the planet cards. And I just was having such a great time. And it is, it's, it's just pretty understandable to, you know, it's a game that I was slightly intimidated by. I don't know why. Maybe just because you know that feeling when someone's explaining to you like a card game in your eyes glaze over and you're like, I died when you said that and I missed everything. I don't know. I thought I would be more complicated and really it's just been a delight. So I had my switch light for the trip. I played it at the airport. I had like three hours to kill like for one of my flights. And I played ballad show, hung out, played it on the plane. The flight attendant was like, it's time to put away devices. And I was like, one more, one more, one more, you know, and actually two, I was playing it. And one of the flight attendants walked by and he saw me playing a switch light and he was like, nice, you know, which is always fun.

1:14:02Yeah. Yeah. I love it. I get it now. I get it now. And that's just going to be an easy pick up and play. Do a run whenever I feel like it like this is just a very charming game. Cool. All right. Anything else? No, no, no. That is it for now. That's it. And I mean, next we just got to decide what to get into. I believe, well, there's like now they said that Call of Duty Bay is going tonight. Yeah, mom is going to play some of that tonight. I might start bringing Dean Abyss and see how far I can get before Don Walker gets delivered and then play those two games together. Okay. Yeah, yeah. Happening soon. And then Call of Duty will subsume all of my time when it arrives because it's amazing. It's amazing. Like it's really good. There's no, there's no jet packs. There's no, you know, grappling. I had to choose my words carefully. There's a grappling shit. You know, like none of that, none of that.

1:15:02Take all that fruit cake stuff that I hated about the new Call of Duty's. Get it out of here. It's gone. It's fantastic. It's simple. It's boots on the ground. It's thrown out ordinances. You're getting kill streaks. Maybe they're score streaks. Whatever. It's great. I called in one of those murder robots myself and it was a grand old time. So I'm just saying like I liked it. If you're a fan of Call of Duty's of like several years ago and you weren't into some of the newer stuff I'm liking this. I'm liking this a lot. Okay. For me, it's just been blood of the Don Walker or the blood of Don Walker. That title, dude, everyone fucks that up, including me. I'm saying the same thing because it just sounds more correct. I know. It's like such a weird title. I was talking about a baronstein bear's type thing. Yeah, but it is the blood of Don Walker. I did play through the game. I have completed it. I have a review up like I said. And also I mean, Lockworth talked about it in depth on some of the signs. So I'll keep it very brief here and just very shallow for spoilers.

1:16:05I don't want to ruin it from Micah, but it is Witcher 3.5 basically same structure. Going out in the world very similar. It's the same director. It's a lot of the same devs that worked on the Witcher 3. So you're going to feel right at home, Micah. The big thing about the game is it's time mechanic, which is actions you do in the world require time. Like for instance, if you want to do this task or this quest, it takes up like two chunks of time and you see you have a little time meter and you could see it until it's night time and day and all that kind of stuff. And you have 30 days to save your family. That's like the objective of the game. Oh, and you just kind of just do whatever you want in between that. There are like four main vampires that you like want to kill, I guess. Like think of like the sassets creed, boards and stuff like that. If stuff you do throughout the world kind of like angers them and it increases your infamy, which in return enforces like stricter security throughout the world. Like more guards will start appearing in certain areas.

1:17:07Eventually, they'll start recognizing you for things like I was doing a quest later on in the game, very late in the game. And there's part of the quest was the guard was talking to me and he just recognized me immediately. So I was locked out of all that dialogue stuff. We started fighting. So that was super cool. I love that. You know, because you're like, you're fucking bad man to these guys. You're out and then you're terrorizing them. You're stirring shit up. You're breaking their blood supplies and all that. So they hate you. So it's cool that like your actions have consequences. The world and the world learns of you and starts to recognize you. But like I said, like it gets pretty steep later on in a lot of ways, but never like so steep. You can't play it, but that didn't happen until like the very end parts of the game for me. So it didn't really matter so much. But it's great. I love all that kind of stuff. Really great quests in the game. Lots of cool decisions to make. Lots of things where I was like, I don't know what to do. And I was doing choices and I was like thinking about them a lot. I don't know if that's the right thing to do, but it was really cool. I love that feeling of just not knowing what to do.

1:18:09Lots of options how you want to deal with events and quests like that. I mean, lock war. We're talking each other a tire of time playing through. We did a lot of stuff differently. Like how some outcomes came to be were just completely different for us. Characters dying, some surviving. I killed a seemingly important character very early in the game on accident. Because during the day, you're in your human form. And you have certain abilities that you can only do in the day, mainly witchcraft, which are pretty much signs, Micah, from the Witcher. But at night, you're in your vampiric form. You have vampire powers and there's a mechanic where if your blood level is very low, you have like a blood meter. I mean, it's very low, which pretty much your health. Cohen, who is the main character, may accidentally just give into his hunger and fight someone and kill them. And that happened to me. And I didn't really, it was like right very early when I was learning about the mechanic. I killed this guy and he was a pretty important NPC according to lock war, who was in the game a lot. But I killed him in my game by accident.

1:19:10So that's how it went for me. But of course, you can reload, but I didn't really want to do that. I'm not pussy. Yeah, I played with those outcomes, maybe. But it's great. I have some qualms or some criticisms about the enemy righty. I think I needed a little more. Definitely, it was a little, a few jakey spots in combat where I'd get locked into arena basically and encounter and I couldn't run away, which I thought was very weird. And the music is fine. I don't like, I don't hate or anything like that, but it never really stood out to me. There was like no track. That's the thing. Let's say it's bad or anything. But iconic Witcher 3. No, no, no, no. Yeah. It's like, there's nothing like that for me going on. Oh, I got exactly exactly. So like, ah, I like. Yeah, it's just bad. When she, when she starts, like, say good, it's like, yeah, it's not bad or anything, but I just didn't strike me as much as I was hoping it would. But it's a great game. I highly recommend it. Lost replay value. Loved it. It's the first parallel trilogy. So we'll see with them planning to implement stuff like save carryovers like Witcher 2 and 3.

1:20:10Yeah, yeah, yeah. We'll see how that goes, but I'm very happy with it. It's Rebel Wolves, the developers, their first game. They made it relatively quick to I think four years. So hopefully we'll only have to wait like three, four years for the next one. But yeah, very excited. It's one of my favorite games of the year. If not, my favorite game of the year so far. So it was sick. I really liked it. So I highly recommend checking out if you like Western RPGs or stuff like the Witcher. I think you'll have a good time. The time mechanic I think will be devices to some. I honestly thought it wasn't. I think I honestly thought it wasn't strict enough because I kind of had time to do pretty much everything I wanted to and I wanted it to be even harsher where I was like really having to make tough calls about what I wanted to do. But you still get that feeling of it like looming over you the entire playthrough, which is good. But yeah, cool ass game, man. Highly recommended. No switch to version though. Now it's anything like that. So not there. No. Maybe in the future, but not for a while at least.

1:21:12Yeah. And this is a game that I was like, I'm not waiting for it. I know. Yeah. I know. Yeah. I know. Yeah. Yeah. So up my alley, you know, just because I'm huge like Witcher 2 and 3 fan that I'm like, I'm not going to miss this. I'm going to play it right alongside everybody else. And I get a for Xbox. I have one. May as well use the damn thing. Sure. So I'm hyped about this. Did you ever play that game vampire? It's like vampire with a Y. Vampy. Vampy. Is that the Is that being more saying it? Vampir. Yes. Yes, it is. Yeah. Yeah. I've never played it, but I know people have played it. Yeah. Oh, dude, you might like just thematically. It's just really cool in terms of the choices you have to make because it's like you're like a not this is not exploit. You're a doctor who's also a vampire who has to make choices of like helping people versus keeping himself alive with his lead for blood and all that.

1:22:12And I just love, as we talk about with the Witcher games and that's a huge part of it is sometimes it's like, am I making the right choice? And sometimes it doesn't feel like there is a right choice. And the best part of replaying like Witcher 3, for example, was sometimes saying, I'm going to make the other choice this time and see if I feel better about it. And it was like, sometimes both choices made me feel real bad. And it was like just very realistic though of you can't make everyone happy. You can't have everyone win at times. Like there were some missions that I was just like, oh man, I totally botched that. And then I replayed the game. I was like, I'm not happy with that either, but I like it in a good way. In a good way, I wasn't happy with it because it was realistic of like, not everything is going to pan out. And you can't always be like the perfect hero. I, I, man, the choice is sometimes just mulling over choices in Witcher 3, like just pausing the game and being like, what do I do? I definitely had that a lot this.

1:23:13Oh, fantastic. I can't wait. I can't wait. This is a game I was like, eh, about, you know, for a little while, but you, you unlock Mardiff convinced me that I'm going to like it. I trust you guys. And if I don't like it, maybe they're cross. If they don't like it, I'm going to be really confused. Like what? The only thing somewhat minorly holding me back is my phobia of blood. And it just makes me uncomfortable to talk about. However, maybe this will help. Maybe this will help me. I had the same problem with vampire of a time to me and like, ew, ew, yuck. But maybe this will be some of that, uh, what's it called exposure therapy? Yeah. You know, maybe it'll be like that. Maybe. Yeah, it'd be good. Maybe I'll just get real sweaty hands while playing it and feel sick. Just either way, if you got to deposit, get some water, walk away for a little bit, walk away for yourself. Play with your three. Yeah. Because I'm kind of like that too, a little bit, Micah.

1:24:13Yeah. And there was a scene in the game that I was kind of like, uh, I'll be ready to cover my eyes. I'll be ready to like, yeah, cover the old eyes, mute the TV if the sound effects are yucky. Yeah. Other than that, I was fine though. I get so many headaches every month. I've not gotten to it yet. It's another game that is in the running for my Christmas game this year.

1:26:21Because I just missed the window I'm playing it when it was current and being part of the conversation at the company. So then it's like a game like that. I kind of say, I should maybe hold it for my Christmas break when I can play it and not have to talk about it. So it's in the running for that, but so is Elden Ring now. Yeah, go where your heart tells you on that. They're both great. Where your heart tells you. Where your heart tells you. I can just play, okay, so I play one with each hand, right? I have the Switch Pro controller, one hand and one eye. And then I have the Xbox controller and that TV with this eye. Yes, dude, it's good. Your eyes are like, like that or something like that. Your pupils do. It's good shit. I've gone blind. I come back from Christmas break and it's like bad news, everyone. Yeah, it's a blind though. I have a blind though. I have a blind though. You got to wear just sunglasses forever. You just roll on. I can't. I'm blind. This is how I'm going to be forever now. I'm not going to be a sunglasses blind person. But this on an X said it's time to revisit the magic. The Lego Harry Potter collection is coming to Nintendo Switch to on October 16th pretty soon as well. I never played any of these games.

1:29:26Like I said before, I've missed the boat on many Lego games. And if I'm playing Lego games first, it's going to be Lord the Rings once. But pretty cool. I like Harry Potter as well. So that's pretty sweet. I don't know what I'd ever get to this because if I do anything, I'd have to go back and finish Hogwarts legacy because I did like it. I just never finished it. Happy to see this. Let's switch to Lego games are cute from what I remember. So very cool. Very nice. Are you going to pick this up, Micah? No, because I'm not a Potter head. And you may say, but Micah, you played Indiana Jones Lego and Pirate's a Caribbean. You haven't seen those movies either. That's true. That's true. Um, Phil Abuster. I just don't really like Harry Potter. Nothing. No shade. But so, no, no. I love British things. I love, I love the Brits. I don't call you at least. I don't shoot. Yeah. You're too crumpets, eh? Can I have a pot of cheese? I have some beans on the side.

1:30:28I still been saying that. Wean's on toast. Two yeah. I can see. I kept a teary eye watch. He ordered like two pieces of toast and double beans. I was like, what double beans for breakfast? Hell yeah. Um, I'm thrilled about this though because I hope it means more. Um, please bring more old Lego games to switch. Maybe ones I want. I'm not disappointed by this news at all. Quite happy about it. And I may check it out someday, but just as someone who's not a Potter head, I'm like, Oh, cool. For you. But, but not, but not for me. Not for me. Yeah. No, I like that. Yeah, Mara card world Mm-hmm, so if they don't have to do it for everything they're happy with that Uh, I don't know Nintendo doesn't really seem to be much of a company Where they're like it's not like the 90s anymore Where it's like Nintendo vs Sega in the ad campaigns and stuff like that Like the say Sega had like does what Nintendo and things like that. So I really like that anymore

2:17:16Uh, you know, they probably do like a little shots here and there, but Nintendo's As what they have said they're playing their own game. They're kind of in their own separate space And they might do some things to appeal to physical physical gamers more, but they want you playing digitally There's a reason they're cheaper Yeah, they would much rather you buy those games digitally and it'll get to that eventually You will definitely have this gen of physical for sure next gen maybe I would say you'd get at least one more maybe after this maybe one more but after that I don't think so. I think it'll be Switch when we're in switch for territory or whatever. I think it'll be all digital by then but I don't know if they see this as an opportunity to grow the player base from that front They are of course trying to grow the player base, but I don't think they're looking at this specific example maybe to get people over To switch only but what do you think Micah? Now I agree with you especially because it feels like in terms of Nintendo moving away from physical like key cards

Yes, that was capcom That's huge that's huge that basically buying them from them does not you know to them signal. Yes making the digital copies cheaper Certainly not incentivizing physical buyers Walmart Amazon have been clutch because they've been running the games cheaper during the pre-sale windows But that is not Nintendo's doing So it's like Nintendo is slowly encouraging you to go digital It's one of those things of like maybe the next console be all key cards, you know like key cards only And then we're eventually lose them all together type deal like Nintendo Instead of ripping off the bandaid like Sony they're easing you into like the hot tub whatever but In terms of like growing their player base Unfortunately, and I say this as someone who loves playing on switch to

2:19:26It's not always the best experience. We know that right. We just know that so I we've seen primarily people who are upset with Sony saying that well, they'll move to PC because if if The future is digital they just want to go to the place where their digital library. They feels the most secure You know people aren't saying well fine. I'll go buy Prague motto on switch to You know, it's like I haven't seen that you being said and of course there are games that haven't come out for it Now portal lands for seemingly dead Yeah, because it couldn't be optimized and maybe we'll never happen You know blood of Don Walker that's not announced for switch to That big beautiful game. So Unfortunately, I think that due to their own limitations They're not going to be winning over swaths of physical gamers the people you know who are just accepting of the situation are like Well, I'll move to PC because the steam library seems pretty secure

2:20:29And this is the end for physical games, but I Unfortunately don't think Nintendo is going to be able to get all those people over here when they don't have like the The power or like that library Yeah, there's a big library don't let don't take me wrong huge library of game to play But there are things missing there are things missing and there are things that are not optimized to play over here Such as my call of duty like yeah, that was fun But The better version. Yeah, it's not here. Yeah, of course Yeah, there's still a lot of great stuff like your say on switch exclusive stuff, too They had like the most exclusive that everybody There's reasons to have a switch too. There's a million reasons to have a switch too But if you're reason like you know being upset with Sony for getting rid of discs. It's like well Well, if you're used to their super pretty high res games You're going back to 720p town over here at times

2:21:29Yeah, that's like me or like yeah, no thank you And that was you know, it's it's just an example of You know that modern warfare modern warfare for had some issues if I'm the one saying it Yes, you know the game had issues if I'm the one saying graphically It's quite poor because on the TV as well like it's very smooth It feels very smooth to run around and play while you know, in docked TV mode But my god you put it in handheld mode or tabletop mode and it's This is rough. Yeah And especially too you got to turn off those textures You got to turn off the texture The texture is mad But the thing is it kind of it kind of this looks like a 360 game at that point in terms of like how bland everything is But it runs really well that's good And now I'm extremely curious to see what it looks like on Xbox instead All the textures I'm supposed to have because the thing on switches that as the textures like pop in
