You should say what it is, what it includes, what you like about it and explain why you think it is perfect. Rory, give us your story. Well, I really love teaching, but I also love to have control of my own time and space. So I think some kind of hybrid work situation would be good for me to explain more about exactly what that is. It would be a combination of working online from the comfort of my own home and in person work in the classroom for short bursts of time. Not only would it include that, but it would also involve going to different places and meeting people so I would never be bored and always have something new to do. I also like the idea of doing it in conjunction with something like teacher training so I can

1:04take full advantage of my skillsets but still have some sort of end point to look forward to as well. So I can move on to the next thing. I think I'd really appreciate the combination of creativity and freedom with changes of pace and scenery like that. Just to do all the different tasks in the different places, I'd be able to manage my own time and get a nice break from my routine whenever I liked. I think it's important to try and balance these things as much as possible, really. As far as its perfection is concerned, I like the idea of mixing things up from time to time and not getting stuck in a rut like a lot of people do. I think it would give me a good chance to push myself but in a comfortable way. Plus, who doesn't like to travel about and see new people in places? It sounds like a win-win to me. If it never happens though, I do think I'll feel too bad about it. I quite like how things work for me already. I kind of do these things by myself at the moment but if it happened more consistently then that would be great because right now sometimes I find myself getting a little bit

2:07bored by everything and when you're stuck like that for a while it's not really a great position to find yourself in psychologically speaking. You can still worry storing and tell the examiner that you're a teacher. Or just like go online or think what your perfect job is but don't choose something weird and strange that you can't talk about. Like something, okay, I want to be a doctor. I want to be a teacher. I want to be a lawyer but could be difficult to talk about being an lawyer.

3:11Or an IT specialist or AI developer. Ooh, fancy. Or I want to be unemployed, okay. My perfect job has been unemployed. A leg, if you're listening, I think your job is a perfect job. I have a student, a leg with a perfect job. What's this job? He does different things here now. Here and there. Look at him. It's perfect. So, Délisna, you can say, I really love technology. I really love teaching. I really love talking to people. I really love being a doctor. So, what you like? All like a growing plants. I want to be a farmer. Why not? But whatever you do, connect it to what we're talking about here. So, you need to explain exactly more what it means. So, I chose something that will have the vocabulary for everybody. I talked about hybrid work, which is when you work online from the comfort of your own home,

4:15which is a good callication to have. And you can work in person, which is like face-to-face with people. For short bursts of time, that means short periods of time. Yes, and you have control of your own time and space. If you work online, for example, like you control, I want to control my own time and space. I want to work for myself. I want to have my own business. For example, yeah, want to work from home, running my own business, managing my own business. And my work would involve talking to people. My work would involve, because like wood, I would like to have a job, which involves going to different places, traveling to different places, meeting different people. So here we use ING. Like my perfect job would involve doing something. Well, usually traveling, talking to people, working with computers, technology.

5:17So I would never be bored to death. It would never be dull, boring. I would never be bored. Yeah, but what position is that? It's not really a position. It's just like a kind of mix of jobs, really. That's why I said it's a hybrid. And that means when you combine things together. So things work in combination with each other, or in conjunction with each other. Yeah, and here, Rorym doesn't give us a certain position, but it would be better for your answer to say, okay, I would like to be a doctor, a teacher. So the examiner understands like what position you are talking about exactly. I'd really appreciate the combination of freedom and creativity. So I would appreciate something in my job. And you can say, I want freedom and creativity in my job, or I would really appreciate the combination. Like when freedom is combined with creativity, the combination of freedom and creativity.

6:19I would like changes of pace, pace like speed. Like today, you work all day. Tomorrow, you don't work at all. Not all like you work half day. Pace like speed. Could be fast pace, slow pace. Or could be slow pace. Scenery like I'd appreciate, a change of scenery, scenery like landscape, like nature. Perhaps like today, Rory would like to work in Scotland. Next week, he'd like to work in Paris. That would be ideal. With a glass of wine and a cigarette. Or a baguette. Yeah. And, really, you know, like on every episode in speaking part one, Rory gives us a new job. So you can choose your perfect job from Rory's interesting jobs. Like a wizard and opera singer. He was, what were you like a chewing gum test? The founder of Bitcoin.

7:19There you go. The founder of Bitcoin. Yeah. I want to be the founder of Bitcoin. There you go. I'd like to manage my own time. So manage my own time, control my own time. And here we can use be able to. So can I can do it? I'm able to do it. I would be able to manage my own time. Again, we'll use wood because I'd like to. I would like to have such a job. I would be able to manage my own time. I want to get a nice break from my routine. So my working routine. Like a regular holiday. And again, we are talking about an ideal job, right? So you can talk about a job over a doctor, for example, but you can say, yeah, but I'll manage my own time. I will have a nice break from my routine every week. No, maybe like you're a famous doctor. You know, you run your own business and you can choose things.

8:21Not to work around the clock. It's important to balance things. So balance work and play. Play like free time. So you do them equally or maybe not equally, but you do them in a way that doesn't, one does not take over the other. Perfection is the noun of perfect, like a perfect job. Perfection. So the perfection of this job. I like the idea of mixing things up. Some mix things up. Have different things. Like you mix the format of working, like offline, online. Something you do online. Something you do offline. So I like the idea of mixing things up. I don't want to get stuck in a rut. There you go, you'll listen. That's your idiom to get stuck in a rut. Usually used about work.

9:22C2, band 9. Oh yeah. Band 9 moment. So to be stuck in a rut, to fixed on one particular type of job activity or method. So for example, like after 15 years in one company, I feel I'm stuck in a rut. Like your work for 15 years and then like, oh, you feel I'm stuck, I'm like I'm fixed. So I'm stuck in a rut. It's negative, you'll listen. And usually we say this when we want to change. So you can say it in a negative sentence. I don't want to be stuck in a rut. Rory, could you do us another sentence with stuck in a rut? Well, no one likes being stuck in a rut because it's just the most boring thing in the world. Yeah. And you can say, for example, like, oh, I don't want to be stuck in a rut. So I'd like to change my job every five years, for example. Today, I'm a doctor, then I'm a founder of Bitcoin,

10:26then I'm a baker. Dunston, you can be a professional dancer. Why not? A ballet dancer. Oh, Bailey, Bailey dancer, you know, you have your Bailey, where your stomach is, Bailey dancer. Rory, would you like to be a dancer? No, I think it'd be the worst dancer in the world. You have, like nice appearance. So you're handsome. So I think you would look good on stage. Yes, if I could dance, but I can't, which you know. Oh, oh, I saw you dance. So you don't tell me that you can dance. You can dance. I cannot dance for anyone who's enjoying this torture I can't dance. Oh, I do. Listen, yes, I saw Rory dance once. So if I don't dance and Maria is not subjected to it, that is a win-win. A win-win, something I said, sounds like a win-win to me. It means that there are two sides to something and both of them benefit. You can also say that it would give me a good chance to push myself.

11:31So becoming a director or running my own business would give me a good chance to push myself, like to kind of motivate myself, to push myself. And we finish off with the conditional. It's the first conditional present and future. So if it never happens, so here it's quite real, right? So Rory's perfect job is real. So if it never happens in the future, I won't be to cut up about it. Wee-eat suffraiser verb. Cut up about it. That means sad. Yeah. I won't be too sad about it. Cut up. A chemical like dishenigism just cuts someone up. Oh, that's sad. I think it's probably an American English thing. Cut up about it. Why are you using American English? Because I've been watching a lot of Americans' television. Oh, there we go. Okay, yeah. A chemical like dishen doesn't have it. So I won't be too cut up about it, like I won't be too sad.

12:34Yeah, or I won't get depressed. So if it never happens, I'll be fine. I won't be too cut up about it. I quite like how things work for me now. So I like my life now. My deal is none. What's your perfect job? Think about it. Every now and then, I see on the internet this way. You can see the way you can see is a caretaker of an island. So there's an island, they in the world and you should take care of it. Maintain the island. You stay there and you take care of the island. So yeah, that could be a perfect job. You can talk about it. You know, I would love to be a caretaker of the island. I would love to be a podcaster. A podcaster, Ryan, by the way. May you chew, Bob.
