DePaul Assistant Coach Bailey Invited to Elite Future Head Coach Event

0:00On March 18, DePaul Men's basketball assistant coach, Brandon Bailey, earned a spot in the Silver Wave's Media Elite 75 Future Head Coach, Power Lunch. This honor recognizes 75 standout coaches across the country as prime candidates for future NCAA Division I head coaching roles. The event takes place during Final Four Weekend and connects participants with leading search firms in college athletics, plus athletic directors, and top administrators nationwide. In the last two years alone, over a dozen past attendees have secured Division I head coaching jobs. Bailey, a 2009 DePaul graduate, just wrapped his second season on staff where he overhauled the team's defense. DePaul held opponents to 69.6 points per game, third best in the Big East, and top 65 nationally, the program's strongest, defensive showing in over a decade. His first year brought an 11-win jump from the prior season, one of the biggest turn-arounds
