Hey y'all, we are back with another dense update. This update is sponsored actually before we get into that. Guess who's back? Hillers back. He mentions they. I had to remove a handful of peptide videos from the YouTube channel. I don't even care. Because YouTube's getting mad at people for making peptide videos. I might even get in trouble for saying the word. Because he talked about peptides and speaking of peptides, this episode is sponsored by Biomax peptides, the scalpel, precise, targeted, working with your body, not overriding it. The work for recovery. Better sleep. More control over appetite and body composition. Hair health. We can even fix your limp biscuit.
Hillers also talked about Sevon. He's filming at a level one in Madison, Wisconsin, not a level two. And the word on the street, I think that he actually hits at himself is that he's in Madison. He's just doing a level two shoot. This is after he did one a couple of beacons back as well. And shooting seminars is what Sevon has been up to. Taking notes. Shoot and seminars. He also talked about Dave Castro and how in the weekend reviews, he only answers certain questions. I think suggesting that he's only hand picking the questions that he wants to answer because there was one particular question, I guess, that had been overlooked. Oh, come on. Week 7 of posting this, Dave. Do you think that the rise of camps of mayhem proven HBO et cetera has made the game less reliable? Which is kind of funny because then on this week's episode, he answers that exact question. At moving onward, oh, come on week 7 of posting this. I don't think you posted this last week. I definitely saw you posting this weeks before. There is no reason I was avoiding it. I just select questions and for some reason I'd ever selected this one.
But now I'll respond to this one. So that's not a coincidence. He either watched Andrew's new video or, you know, someone sent him a clip. He's got people sending him clips of Mason and clips of J.Y. Clips of everybody is clips, clips, clips galore. I mean, I've had people send me clips and screenshots or send me, oh, hey, this is really good material. Oh, this would be really funny or oh, you should clip someone. So he just said this or that on the show. Let's talk about World Fitness Project. Tour Stop 2 was in Indianapolis this weekend. Actually, went to this event last year and this sports complex is really nice. It's a great venue. But holy injury weekend. I'm trying to think of the last time there was this many injuries at one event. He had Pat Valner. He tore his Achilles. Oh, no, no, no, no, no. Oh, oh shit. Queen Robinson, Taurus Peck.
Queen sitting in ninth. And that didn't look comfortable at all. Sam Cornway, a pulled a hammy. You know, Kowski had the foot thing in the 40 yard dash. I'm a Krennacroth at Lays Cramping during events he had to withdraw. Hello, guys. I just wanted to let you know I got cramped for my last 500 meters run. And I can go some challenger athletes. You may not know of Henry Nagar. He pulled his hamstring, Lenn Postal, he withdrew William Kerney. Still not sure why there was two gentlemen withdrew. And then I saw that two team athletes had withdrawn. I heard it was two females and one male who actually was on a post interview of another event where his teammate talked about him pulling a hamstring. Yamavab Resort and Casino at Sandman Well is bringing the biggest laughs to the stage. Break Taboos with Ali Wang on August 28th and 29th. Enjoy Ralph Barbosa's Dry Humor on September 18th and 19th.
And don't miss Nikki Glazer's unapologetic comedy November 19th. Tickets on sale now at YamavabhaTheater.com. Only at Yamavab Resort and Casino celebrating its 40th anniversary. You in must be 21 to enter. Your team just added at 67th AI tool and also your 67th security blind spot. So Hank, like Dylan said, you're dealing with a little bit of a hamstring like a lot of athletes here in the field. And all of these injuries happen pretty much before the fourth event I want to say. With Valner everyone thought, oh, he dropped the sled on his leg, but he laid her head on his story that evening.
All right, so I just want to clarify kind of what happened in the second event today. I tore my Achilles. I tore my Achilles on my left leg while I was doing the flip sled when I went to split stance in the clean. Tore my back leg Achilles and then I tried to ditch the sled to the side and I went down to kind of grab my leg and then, you know, the sled like bounced off the ground and then kind of landed on my other leg while it was already flat on the ground. Sam Corn, I still took the floor to gate points for the event. I think his maybe he thought there might still be a chance he could earn enough points to make it to Copenhagen. However, he did not end up in the final 30 according to World Pennis Projects website along with a lot of big name athletes. He had Colton Mertens outside the top 30 William Leahy, obviously Patrick Valner, Harry Lightfoot, Spencer Pancheck, Manon Agnes, Emily Ruthwell, Paige Rogers, Kyra Milligan, Fisa Gaffey who did a little bit of commentating this weekend for the World Pennis Project and
actually really enjoyed her commentary. And then Danny Spiegel who did not compete here in Indianapolis. I'm into Harry put out a video on Tore Stop 2. She kind of talks more in depth about the leaderboard, the events, some of the interviews. That's a good video if you want to go check that out. So let's go on to talk about our leaderboards a little bit and what this competition looked like. I'm just going to touch on a few of the things that really stood out to me over the weekend. We see the 40 yard dash Quinn Robinson with a 4-4 and Guy with a 4-6 very impressive. Amy Cringle the only lady to go sub 5 but then Sydney McElition right behind her with a 508. Caroline Privo with the broad jump 102 inches. Anytime I've been around Caroline, I want to say she's the same height as I am. So for her to win that event, it's actually crazy. The first thing I had the live chat open just to kind of see what people were saying about the broadcast and the events. And it's the same usual suspects really that I see in many of the live chats complaining
about commentary. Oh, there's no graphics. There's no leaderboard. I can't follow along. Who's winning? What's their times? And they were brutal talking about the commentary saying that it was like a golf tournament being called. I mean, if I'm being honest, that first event, it was kind of, it started out with this combine event, which was a little bit hard to watch. And if you look at the comments underneath the YouTube video, that seems to be the consensus. There were no graphics, but they had split screens so you could see the different events since they were going on. And the commentators were pretty good about letting you know which athlete was coming up next and eventually what their time was. Sure, it was kind of boring to watch at times, but it's the combine. You kind of know what you get yourself into. I did think it was really cool that they had a full combine leaderboard, which I didn't see it first, but when I went to competition corner to check out the workouts, there was
a tab on there that showed you the full combine leaderboard. So not only did you get to see who won the overall on the main competition leaderboard, but there was a separate leaderboard for all three of the combine events. The second event of the day was long. It was four rounds and I think the fastest time of that workout was somewhere around 14 minutes for the ladies. Again, it wasn't that exciting and obviously until the final round of that workout. So the first day just kind of was like, all right, we're just getting some workouts out of the way. Day two kind of the same. It was that 10k, 6.2 mile run outside of the sports complex. So I mean, you're just watching people run for six miles. Not a lot of excitement there. Next up was the max bench press event. Colton Merton's putting up a 405. Dana Pryan putting up a 240, which is nuts. And then they finished up that day with a grinder of workout. And at the end of that event, Amy had a post interview with Lauren Smith on the floor. Yeah, I started on Friday and I was like, I don't even know if I should be doing this
because I feel like I'm performing at like 50%. So to be holding up with these girls at I say 50%, I think I'm doing all right. But yeah, I think I need a break. I mean, listen, this is just a month after one of the hardest cross-baked games probably ever. It's not that big of a surprise that the athletes were feeling like they needed rest. But still wildly impressive how well she did considering she said she felt like she was only performing at 50%. She is more than earned that rest, but she's only got two months off until road. And then Copenhagen will be in December. And then the open starts again in February. So it's maybe going to be a month here, a month there of some off time or downtime. Will she do all of them the rest of the year? Will she forego rogue or wfb? Do you be determined? The final day started off with an off-site swim event.
And then you have a finale. I think the handstand walk maybe was too long. They cut a short nut up and shortened the event and made it a little more exciting and the race more exciting because then it would have forced the sprint there. But your overall winners at this tour stop James Sprague, your fittest man on earth, comes out, wins it again. I mean, this guy is unbeatable. He kind of had a slow start to the weekend, but then he was able to pull it off. To the ragged in second and Luka, Jukicin third, which I'm not going to lie. Pretty surprised about because if you look at all of his placements prior to this, he was breaking in the top 10. And he podiums here. So that's pretty exciting for him. I believe he did change programming. I don't think he's with the programming anymore. And then on the lady side, you have Emmet Hall and first, Law or Bath and second, Amy Cringle in third. I think starting that final day, Amy was ahead of Laura, but then Laura placed better than
Amy and those last two events. So that won't turn up. So the top 30 athletes in points from tour stop one and tour stop two combined will move on to compete in Copenhagen for Pro Card. You can find that full leaderboard on the World Finance Projects website. You can find the tour stop two leaderboard on competition corner dot net. You can find the combine three different score leaderboard on competition corner dot net as well under the workout tab for event one. You know what I found out this weekend? I was on with the glintens and we were talking about the CrossFit Games and they pulled up the reel from Dave Castro's Cougar account. And I said, I have some theories on Jenny, you did it. You did it. You did it. I'm not going to lie. I honestly thought that Kipping It Real was running this account. I was pretty sure that this was run by Kipping It Real.
He didn't put out a ton of, I don't think he put out any content on his own channel. All weekend at the games. I haven't done a video on his YouTube channel, but I didn't see much on his IG. And it just seemed like content he would put out. So now it makes sense. Well, the time has come. The moment you've all been waiting for. For years, John Young came on to the CrossFit Games update show. He was so reliable. He was so good. He was a great contributor. He was on, I'm going to say three years. So let's say five years. I don't know. He's single Tuesday or Friday. Whatever day we did it, I don't even remember. And he was always reliable. No questions asked. Just showed up. Anytime I needed a show. And then there was a time when I think Bryson started coming around. A couple other people started coming around and I started integrating new people into the show. And when I would send out the invites, I didn't invite John. And that was fucking my mistake.
I should have told John. What I'm hearing now, I just heard this actually very, very recently, is that really hurt John's feelings. And that's why he left the thread. And if he's on the show for fucking three years or five years, and then I do two months of shows and I don't call them or three weeks of shows, I don't even remember. And his feelings got hurt. I fully 100% get that. I have no idea why Tyler got upset. And I don't think Spin ever left the thread. But I think we just all went hiller and Tyler and John left. We just regrouped. Everyone regrouped. There was a post made on dense updates of John inviting people to the suite. I guess from what I'm hearing is after that clip, Tyler wrote in the bottom, a nope or spin. No, don't come to the suite.
And I didn't know that either because I hadn't seen the show. But what this person's insinuating is is that Dave got upset at John for inviting people to the suite. But really it was canceled. But that really doesn't matter because John posted in live chats elsewhere, which I've seen tons of clippings of inviting people to the suite. And Dave got wind of that. And he at he was pissed. And he called me and he's like, you guys better not be doing that either. I will fucking take your suite away. I think probably Susan was on that thread too. 20 minutes past since since that he sends that text and he calls me and he says, Hey, I'm hearing that John Young is talking shit. The other shit on that podcast is that true. And I said, I'll find out. And of course, he was talking shit more shit on that podcast. And this time I had no clue that spin had had signed a non disparage agreement. I know not to disparage him before the games or with we have like a two month window.
Don't fuck with the games two months before start building it up and go all positive and hype. John and Tyler and spin and hiller and Taylor and Bryson and Susa and Jenny and all of the regular listeners of this show know for the last five years that I'm 100% in with Dave. If you tell me something, there's a chance I'm going to tell Dave. I've always defended Dave. The most views I've ever gotten on any show or the shows I do with Dave. I worked with him for 15 years. He's been my friend for 20 years. I've said unequivocally. I'm a Dave guy. I've been lambasted everywhere for sucking Dave's dick and swinging from his nuts. And my response to that is yes, you're absolutely right. And I've established that. All of those people from spin, all the people from the CF network, all the fans know that I'm a Dave Easter. There has not been an evening from 2000 after the games from 2008 to the present out here
just to be safe. 90% of all the days the games have ever happened that week of the games every night, I debrief with Dave. He'll just call me anywhere between 8 PM and 12 PM when he gets back to his hotel and goes, what do you think? What do you think? How is this? How is that? Do you have any feedback for me? And we talk. You have to remember, I've been around in 2009 when he needed someone to drive him to LA for his wife's birth right after the games. He said, he said, he said, let's go. We're driving. I'm not going to do that then, God. You have to understand and they all understand that. Everyone knows that. I've never hid that. Like everyone knows that. And because of my proximity to Dave and because of my contributions to CrossFit, other people around me and my circle have benefited fucking greatly, right? Just like you benefit greatly when you go to your parents house, they make you food because you're really close to them. Everyone around me has benefited, whether they've gotten sponsorships for their stuff,
whether they've gotten floor access, when I've gotten floor access, everyone has benefited from this relationship that I've allowed that I have built with Dave for the last 20 years. And I've never guarded Dave. I've tried to bring everyone else in to introduce to Dave. And Dave is not the kind of person who wants to meet a lot of people. Everyone has fucking benefited from that. Everyone knows that. Everyone. He'll or knows it. John knows it. Tyler knows it. Spin knows it. Taylor knows it. But if you fuck with Dave, including myself, you will fucking get fucking cut. And you can take accountability for it or responsibility for it if you want. Taylor did with the CAC. The year I was, I sent Brian Friend to the games and we got fucking kicked out because we didn't interview with him with the master's event going on in the background and a whole bar ran by looking like an aunt this big or something. And we got fucking kicked out. I've been kicked out a fucking million fucking times of things around the games.
Okay. So let me proceed with the story now to establish that. So Dave asked me, hey, are they talking shit? And I say, yeah, I'll find out. I find out. And he says, yes, he goes show it to me. I go, no problem. If that for any reason shocks you at all, you're crazy. Did I have any idea that he would get kicked out? No. Did I participate or want John to get kicked out? No. Could spin still have gone? Yes. Could Tyler still have gone? Yes. Do I think I think that those guys are maybe a little neuter without John? They are the, that whole show is built around John's persona in his knowledge and they play off of him. So I could understand them being bummed. But I'm the last person who wants someone fucking kicked out of the games. A year before someone reminded me, I don't even remember this. I got Clyde'sale Media Pass a couple years before that. Even when Sporty Beth made a video about me shitting on me that has 30,000 views, I got Sporty Bethapass. I'm not interested in getting anyone kicked out of the fucking games.
They go off on all of these rants and they're just going fucking bonkers. I am not speaking about it publicly in response for two reasons. One, I don't want to feel obligated to react to anyone. I want to do things on my own time. And two, there was some political maneuvering. I was doing behind the scenes to try to figure something out. And the best thing to for me to do is to stay quiet until this revealed itself. And it did. And that's, that's a story. Maybe I need to consult with Susa before I talk about maybe that one will take a year. But very, very positive outcome. At least the files. I was interviewing Amy Kringle and her boyfriend. Mr. Hooper approached me with his camera down low and started talking to me. I had already made a plan before the game. Hey, I'm not going to interact with Mr. Hooper at all. I was very cordial to him. I stayed out of his way. If he was even shooting something in the tunnel, I would look over my shoulder and try to move to the side. I was aware he was there. But he comes up to me and he puts the camera in my face.
Well, not in my face. He holds it low. So he's like tricking me whether he's filming or not. And he asks me a question. I think he asked me the same question three times. Honestly, I don't remember. As soon as he started talking to me, I started thinking, why is this person talking to me when I'm interacting with Kringle? And I had my back to him and I just heard it. So Mr. Hooper does this. I walk away. Clearly he was up to something. It was a very inappropriate thing to do at the games, but that's fine. And I don't think whoever hired him, I think he was hired to be back there. Whoever hired him, they probably didn't. I think it was that. What happens from there is that night, Dave calls me and he's like, how are things? I'm like, they're great. They're great. They're great. He's like, how's everything in the warm up area? I go great. And I said, oh, but Mr. Hooper tried to play a Gacha game with me and was trying to like hold his phone down low and film me. And he said, oh, I'm going to kick him out for that. And I said, no, please don't do that. And he said, no, I'm going to kick him out for that. And I said, no. And that conversation went on. He said, okay, then you need to call Jenna.
Jenna at the time was the head of the media department. I said, no, I'm not calling Jenna. It's a busy week for everyone. It's fine. It's no big deal. I get off the phone with him five minutes later. Jenna calls me. We talk about it. She asked me the same things about Dave. Do you think that he should be back there? She goes on to tell me some personal stuff about Mr. Hooper that makes me think that she had some concerns about him too. I guess he had been sleeping in his car or something, but she had some serious concerns about him also and was trying to get a feel for me on whether he was stable enough to be back there. And I was like, hey, I'm not weighing in on any of that shit. James. 10 out of 10 for this week's review. I will say this too. I just want to just just to be super clear in summation. There is some really fucking crazy shit out there on everyone and anyone like really crazy shit. Stuff that would stuff that I think that I wouldn't be a blip on my radar, but would fucking completely wreck a lot of other people.
Personal lives, their home lives, their professional lives. And I want to thank everyone who on the team and teams who showed restraint, but people do have their limits. And that stuff isn't out there in isolated places. And thankfully I have some, you know, about a month ago, Rich Froney reminded me, hey, it's not worth burning it down. And then recently Taylor self reminded me, hey, treat people the way you want to be treated. Treat people the way you want to be treated. Treat people the way you want to be treated. So I'm trying that's trying to be my mantra. I think that's it. That's the story.
