In 2000, Dr. Terry Wahls, a now world-renowned American doctor and scientist is diagnosed with an incurable disease. Seven years later, despite taking the pharmaceutical drugs normally prescribed to sufferers of her condition, Terry’s health continues to decline. The mother of two, decides conventional medicine is not stopping the decline into a demented and bedridden life and begins her search for an alternative approach. Her latest film, Defying All Odds, has garnered a total of 7 wins and nominations to date, namely a "Critics Choice Award" at the Iowa Independent Film Festival, "Best Director, "Documentary Feature" at the Culver City Film Festival, and an "Award of Merit, Special Mention" at The Impact Docs Awards in La Jolla. The project was also showcased on Getty Images Australia.Caroleen's debut feature documentary, We Love Paleo (aka Love Paleo, 2016), is also distributed worldwide. We Love Paleo was subtitled in French, German, Spanish, Portuguese and Czech. To date, her debut feature has been seen in over 60 countries.
