Decathlon's Sports Hub in IKEA Croydon

0:00On April 28, Decathlon just launched its first store inside an Ikea, right here in Coiton's Valley Retail Park. This 1,188 square meter spot-stocks, over 5,000 products for more than 70 sports, from Running Gear 2, cycling kits and hiking essentials. The grand opening happened last Friday, April 24, with the mayor of Coiton, Jason Perry, and ex-Christall Palace footballer, Clint Morrison, cutting the ribbon. Hundreds showed up to check out the new sports hub next to the Ikea restaurant and shopping. Locals are buzzing because it's a game-changer for easy access to quality gear, without a long trip. Morrison, a sports fan himself, said it reminds him of what he missed growing up, and it'll spark passion in kids for football, horse riding, or whatever sport clicks. They're rolling out popular perks like the buyback program, where you trade and use equipment for cash, and click and collect for grabbing online. Orders in store.
