InCharge Radio's Podcast — Debt Consolidation Loans. Machine-transcribed; use the interactive transcript above to jump the player to any line.
Is a debt consolidation loan for you? This is a money minute from incharge education foundation and militarymoney.com. If you have several loans and are having trouble organizing payment dates and amounts each month, perhaps a debt consolidation loan is for you, but perhaps there's a better route. Here are a few points to consider before you decide to consolidate. A debt consolidation loan simply consolidates all your loans into a single loan. These loans often have lower interest rates and allow you to pay smaller amounts over a longer period of time. Also, since you are only dealing with a single loan, it's much easier to keep track of payment due dates. Paying back a consolidation loan can take some time in patience. It may take longer to pay them back. Oftentimes, these low-interest loans keep payments low, but spread them over a much longer pay period. You may also be able to reduce your debt faster by paying down one or two smaller loans completely and deciding from there whether to consolidate. This money minute is made possible by incharge debt solutions. Visit us online at www.incharge.org
