Dead Dog, Injured One Found Near Lake Hamilton

Shortly before 7pm on February 26, 2026, deputies got word of the dead dog along Lake Hatchenea Road, West of the, Lake near Alfred Road. The brown male dog had a neck laceration and responders collected it from the scene. They also caught a similar dog nearby with a less serious cut on its neck. Animal control is now taking care of the injured dog while the investigation continues.
