2:01Download the app today. What do you think of the way you guys play? I think we came out and played self and play physical like we asked them to do. What we perfect, no. We're still chasing it. I think the guys tried to execute the game plan. They tried to execute it well. They believed in a game plan and we got the results that we wanted. But there's some things we need to clean up. First week, we got to get better and keep growing. If we keep doing that, I think our defense will just keep getting better and better as the season goes. What do you think about the package where K-Von slides inside? I guess even to some degree, having goals in an edge inside what you're around here used to be called with JPP and OZ, the NASCAR package. What do you like about that? I mean, I like the versatility in all those guys. As we progress, tips might have a better match up on the guard. He might have a better match up on an tackle. It could be our val. It could be burns.

3:02So we have flexibility. The guys do a good job because our defense is really when they learn it is conceptual. So it's just pieces. It's just X is moving across the board. So I like it. It presents problems to other teams and we become a faster defense when they're all up there. So we'll continue to keep sprinkling that in, you know, and expand the package. There was nothing situational about the way you handle your inside linebackers. They both play every snap. Yeah. What is the reason for that? I'm sure there's good players. And also how in your mind, when you can just put those guys out there and play, you don't have to worry about them. You can mix and match other places. How beneficial is that for you? Well, I think it's extremely beneficial. I mean, you have two players that can play both spots really. There's really not a mismatched problem, you know, when our veil is on, it plan to plan the will of dom linebacker position. And then Tremaine is another good athlete.

4:04So it comes to defense a little bit. You can move them around. They can play different spots as well. So it makes the defense even easier and not to be able to have the substitute all the time for favorable matchups for the offense. Is that unusual in your mind that they have two guys inside linebackers, you don't come up with the field? Well, it is unusual now, like in today's game. You know, because you still have the ability to go dom and take one of all for vice versa. But with us without flexibility in their athletic ability and their football intelligence, it's a good thing for us that they can play every snap. What do you think you do better on third down? Oh, well, first and foremost, you know, leveraging on route concepts. There was some plays where we supposed to have outside leveraging we gave up outside leverage. Couple of those third downs were penalties and that's the number one thing we need to correct going for is the penalties. And when you look at the game, the penalties hurt us.

5:04The penalties were all, all the penalties led to scoring drops. Right? So we got to clean up that part of it. And then, you know, one third down, we just got to have a tighter game plan, be able to surround what they do offensively and just go execute. And if we do that, we get them on a couple of third downs, we get off the field, no penalties. You know, we play a even cleaner game. So we're chasing that. That's what we're doing going for. Those are two areas that we must get better at going into this game because this offense is a fishing offense. So it's eliminating the penalties. All right, and being able to produce on third down and get off the field. What do you see with the penalties and what's the teaching point off those? Well, the teaching point is this, you don't need to grab. Like we are in position, you know, at the top of the row, it's just cleaning up our hands. You know, we're going to be physical. We're going to, we're going to challenge people. But at the top of the row, we have to understand how they're going to call it. And it's no excuse. It's when they get to the top of the row, we can't grab.

6:06We can be in the pocket, understand where your leverage is, where your help is and everything else. But we have to clean that up. We cannot hurt our team and hurt our defense by getting penalties. And that's something that we're going to correct. And it's been pointed out. And it's one thing that we're going to get better at going for. We're thinking about talking about just how he's and so I'm planning to be able to use it inside. What's been the buy-in life from a veteran guy? Like him to be able to play a role where he's usually outside. But now he's just the inside of these hills there. Well, I think as the whole defense, as a unit, from top to bottom, from coaches to players, the buy-in is huge. Let's go out and do what we need to do to win a football game. It's not about individuals. It's not about all the stats. It's us playing together. Because when we all play together and we excel in a football field, we'll all get the results that we want. So the buy-in is huge. It's a bunch of guys that's here that's very selfless. And that's why I love being around them. They are team guys. They want to excel. They want their teammates to have success.

7:07And if we keep feeding on that same energy, we'll keep growing. What about a guy like Chuan Si Gouls? I mean, he's not a big guy. In terms of playing with his hand in the ground all the time. What makes him able to do that? Well, he's not a big guy, but he plays big. He uses his left his arm left. He plays with good center gravity. He gets good vertical knockback. When you watch him, his technique is always the same. He plays same foot, same shoulder. He squeezes and constricts blocks. You know, he plays the way that you suppose to play when you're in that position. And he's done it in the past. It's not like he hasn't done it. And Chuan Si Gouls, the him, he's a guy that's playing a five technique in our base front. He moves around. You know, he has a lot on his plate, but he's going to great job for his defense. And I expect him to just keep getting better and better within it. Holland's Interception, we see the end. When you watch the entire play, what did you see and why were you guys so effective? Well, obviously we didn't get any sacks in a game, but we hit the quarterback nine times.

8:07And that was not comfortable in the pocket. The thing that really made that play was Tibbados effort off of the edge to go try to hit him in the center mass. And that's what got the ball to go up in the air. And when the ball's up in the air, we got to go get it. So it was it was the rush. It was getting the quarterback off his spot. Not him not being comfortable. And then Javon, being what he does. He patrols. He patrols the airways. And that's a knock that he has and he went and found the ball. I'm sorry, when you look at the schedule, you see Dac and his receivers game one. And then Stapford and his receivers game two, did you say, okay, well, there's no reason into this for us. It's a national football league. It's nothing easy, right? We understand the challenge that the first game presented to us. That's why we played a style of football that we had to play. Right? Like every week you go into a game, it's not about what you just want to do. It's about how do you stop or slow down his team? Right? And we went in with a certain game plan against those receivers.

9:08We'll have a game plan going against this offense who is a very good offense. They run the ball extremely well. They have two elite receivers. They're big. They block. They have good tight ends. So we have to have a game plan and surround what they do as well. So it's a challenge, but it's going to be a challenge all year. And we have the guys willing to take those challenge and go all down compete at a high level. Three more. What's it like in the defensive coach sitting there, you only have two possessions. It's like an adjude watching the offense and all those drives. That's lovely. Like, as a defensive coach, you preach three in outs and you try to get off the field. You try to take the ball away, give it back to your offense. But when your offense can just eat up all the clock, I mean, it's a great feeling. And then, you know, from my perspective, when you sit down, watch it for as long as it as I did. It was, I mean, it was some outstanding stuff from the operation, from the offense alignment with the combo box, the kickout blocks, how Jackson was dialing in, you know,

10:09the passes that he made, how the receivers made the plays that came to them and got up field. It's a beautiful thing to watch. And from a defensive perspective, if you want an offense, they can run the ball. And hopefully we can keep doing it. If I put a slot corner aside, how do you look at your third outside corner? Because I think when the injuries happen, I think a deep-o went in first and then banks came back and then hood went in before a deep-o. The way I look at it, I got four, we got four starters. I believe in all, all the guys that line up and play, when they get an opportunity to play and go out there, I expect the same results, no matter who it is. To me, their nameless faces, they have a jersey number. They are on the New York Giants and we expect them to play at a high clip. How it makes a strong, McVeyel offense so hard to defend? Because he wants to run the ball. Sean wants to run the ball to set up his play actions. They have a Hall of Fame quarterback that has seen it all, that can make all the throws. He's the size of where he's going.

11:10He's fast to get the ball out. Sean does a good job of attacking players as well. As with skiing. I think he's one of the best football coaches in the National Football League and we have a hell of a challenge going against this offense.
