We are your local and expert source of road weather impact forecasting for commercial vehicle operators and the traveling public. I'm day, weather media, neurologist on Watzel. Well, most areas started off with some light terrain and snow shower activity before our first wave from yesterday passed into the central and northern high plains. Now, we've got our next disturbance kind of taken a similar track coming in off the Pacific Northwest and traveling eastward through the central Rockies and plains. A lot of moisture in the atmosphere. So after a break, we should start to get some precip an activity to fire up again with increasing clouds on going across the region. Temperatures as a whole are going to remain below average this week with a more noticeable warmup by Friday and the upcoming weekend. By late afternoon and early evening periods of rain showers will start to fire up again with

1:01wet snow expected through the mid to late morning hours of Tuesday. Now it's not just cold air mix again with moisture generating the snow. It looks like we've got some convective energy building across the western slopes of Colorado and with an east and northeast track, it looks like this energy is going to take game at the higher elevations of interstate 80 to night and cannot necessarily rule out parts of the higher elevations of I 70 either, but I 80 looks to be the bigger bullseye with wet snow and some slushy accumulations expected, particularly around the summit and between Laramie and Rollins through the morning on Tuesday breaks in the clouds will occur in between systems by Tuesday night with another fast moving trough to bring a few light rain and snow showers into the day Wednesday. And as we get later on in the week and something we'll cover in later videos, heavier precipitation expected in far southern areas, most notably possibly around Wednesday night, but more so into Thursday and Friday. And this would be including areas of I 25

2:04and Southern Colorado and into New Mexico. First things first, we get through tonight. Ogallala Westward to Pine Bluffs and I 80. We're going to get some scattered rain showers primarily with a little bit of light snow possible. If we can get those temperatures in the lowest layers to drop to ride around freezing, but primarily going to expect wet roads westward into Wyoming, scattered rain and snow showers east of shy and producing wet roads. But again, here's the bullseye shy in westward to Laramie along the I 80 summit, possibly looking at convective snow and snow showers, producing some slushy and slick road conditions. And if everything lines upright, that region could get a quick 3 to 6 inches of wet snow into Tuesday morning with lesser snow amounts further westward between Laramie and Rollins, but the impacts will be a lot of the same slushy road conditions with those snow showers. Then for the west again, back to some scattered rain and snow showers, producing wet to slick spots areas that get hardest hit will continue to see some slick roads

3:06tomorrow. Then break up with additional rain and snow showers, keeping a few wet to slick spots intact through the late afternoon. Elsewhere again, presip going to remain on the light side with primarily wet roads. We will briefly turn favorable in far eastern areas Tuesday night, and it'll be a lot of the same as you had west along I 80. But if traveling Tuesday night, do expect continued widespread scattered wet to slick spots. And then things will start favorable on Wednesday morning with our next draw bringing some afternoon rain showers or rain snow mix in the higher terrain, I 25 north and southward scattered rain and snow showers with wet to slick spots mainly north of Cheyenne to Weedland and into the higher elevations along I 25. And this could occur further northward towards Douglas and Casper Casper to Buffalo wet to slick spots with scattered rain and snow showers. Interstate 90 not going to get as much, but a few hidden miss rain and snow showers will produce wet roads tonight and continue into the day on Tuesday with wet roads further

4:08south along I 25 scattered wet to slick spots will linger Tuesday evening as we get a break in the action. And then by Wednesday afternoon, the similar story, I 25 and I 90 could get some afternoon rain showers or rain snow mix producing wet roads and I 25 near the state line towards Denver and southward to Colorado Springs. Rain showers expected with perhaps a rain snow mix between Colorado Springs on the higher elevations of I 25 producing wet roads, I 70 eastward getting scattered rain and wet roads tonight, I 70 westward rain and snow showers with wet to slick spots, but some of the higher terrain and I 70 west on the metro could see some heavier wet snow bands and produce slushy, Rome conditions afternoon scattered rain showers will fire up again Tuesday getting a little break Tuesday night with scattered wet areas remaining then afternoon rain showers possible Wednesday with the chance at more concentrated rain, I 25 south of Denver towards
